Once when I was in 4th grade, I decided I wanted to play football. By that time the season was already over, so I joined the team the next year. It was my first year and my coach said that I had a lot of potential. He said I had more than he’s seen in a long time of coaching. I think that playing football is one of the best decisions I’ve made. I have become a football star. Last year, in 6th grade, I played wide receiver and I was the leading scorer. There were only 2 touchdowns in the whole season that I didn’t get. That was my best season so far. Football has become my favorite sport and it has made me tougher. If I didn’t play football, I think I would be weaker and more of a wimp than I am today. Also, I wouldn’t have my favorite
After quitting, I focused solely on football. I loved being apart of the team. The thought of playing on a field just like The New England Patriots always ran through my head. I’ve always dreamed about being in the NFL since I was 4. (my first year in The Little Knights). Knowingly by now, the NFL is a rare career to achieve.
“High school football is more than a sport to me it’s the way of life. I say this because football helps me become a better me. It keeps me going and always ready to strive for the next big thing. This is one of my main reasons why I love football so much,” senior football player Aaron Mckinnely said.
Throughout my life, I’ve been in many different sports. Basketball, baseball, football track, and golf just to name a few. Though some of these weren’t enjoyable on my part, I always stuck them through to the end. Football is the most forefront example. I never fully enjoyed playing football, so when I started football my freshmen year, I wasn’t too thrilled. The work
I was pushed around, yelled and cursed at by some of the biggest dads I have ever seen, but I kept my spirits high in order to pursue greatness. I wasn’t used to wearing a helmet and pads, so catching a football was a challenge. A few weeks down the road, after many hours of observation, the coaches put me on defense in the position of Defensive End. I had no idea what this position was and what my job was. I learned that the Defensive End (DE), plays on the very end of the defensive line and the job of the DE is to rush the Quarterback and to stop any run plays in my direction. I wasn’t very good at doing my job and my coach sought me out and reminded me of that every
I Darron enjoy the sport of football, and it is well played on are every day basis. On ESPN the highlights just make me look back on my past like what I could have done and how I should have done it. Sometimes I wish I should have stayed in shape and focused in school. But anyways football will always be my sport the touchdowns, interceptions and impact. Another big thing about football for me is the crowd well I know in big ball league it’s the best the excitement and cheering from the fans true fans and the great Gods people. When I played I played defense I was a defensive back I guarded the wide receiver and I did my job pretty good probably should have been a little bit better.
the reason I played football is because i wanted to try it out. Im really glad I did because the year the I play football had to be the best year ever. It was so much fun. The team was fun to because i meet lot of new people and like i said made a second family. the coaches where nice and so was the team.
My stomach tightened. I had never played free safety before. The ball was snapped, and I watched as the tailback widened out to receive the pitch. Never had I felt such an adrenaline rush.
It all started when I got grounded.I was in my room all bored just thinking. I was thinking about some of my past actions. One of the major ones that was still clear in my mind was all the times I've hurt myself over my dumb ways or decisions. The freshest memory was when I first started to play football. I was interested in being a quarterback. But back then when I was 8 I had this dumb way off throwing one. It was like throwing a bowling ball into the air. But the feeling of the balls grip made me forget about how I used to throw it. But I did have this occasional feeling when I threw it. As if my arm muscle was being pulled. But I didn't mind for as long as I could throw far and high I didn't really care. But boi I should have listened to
''Football.'' Every one loves the game of football. I mean how can you not like football its just so much fun. To play and or watch . It's just so much excitement. Playing football I set a lot of goals . And I also achieved most of those goals. It wasn't the easiest thing to do but its really worth it . The reason I say this because it a workout. Your constantly moving every other second. So its really a good work out for teens. But my goal for football was to make a touchdown every game. The reason I wonted to score every game cause I knew that I was going to get some money every time I score. And another goal I set was to make a tackle every game . It didn't have to be a big tackle just a tackle. That's all I ask for myself every game . I
My heart was no longer in football after 5 years of playing the sport, I only loved it for 3 years out of the 5. How I feel in love, I still remember pee wee and middle school football like it was yesterday. The sound of the helmets cracking on one another, the sweat dripping down my face and body, and the sound of my teammates breathing heavy after running. These were the years where you were excited to go to practice, lift and play Thursdays, but with everything good there is always a bad. High school football changed the way felt towards football. I began to hate the sport that I once loved and wanted to do for a living, if I was given the opportunity. The nonstop hitting and hitting and hitting, the pressure on the knees every time you would block someone, and practices that last for 3-4 hours long every day after school, in 90-100 degrees, and with 20 pounds of pads on. I thought was not worth saying I play for the Devine Warhorses. High school football felt like a job that you are not getting paid to do, having to wake up early to go watch film on the team you’re playing that week, and having to go in for lunch sometimes. When I played high school football I had no social life outside of the football team and had no time to work on what really matters… school. Strong and talented can only get you so far in a sport without being truly in love with it. When your burned out, not having any fun, and dreading for the season to come to an end,
In the seventh grade I had a back injure that made me consider not playing football anymore.
Football is a game of passion, a time when nothing else matters and the only thing that matters is going out there having fun and fighting for the guy next to you. Football has always been something that I loved and had a wild passion for. I’ve made friendships and memories to last a life time and I can always be grateful that football did that for me. Now of course I’ve had some bad memories during football as well, I remember walking out of the film room on the last day of spring ball and having Coach Antle grab me and say “Gage, I think I want to try you at a new position, I want to put you at defensive end. We need you more there and we think you can really excel there.” I remember being so furious, I had played linebacker ever since I could remember and now the last day of spring ball my senior year everything was about to change.
When I was younger, I was always interested in sports. I was usually at the top of my class in sports. I always dreamed that I would be the best at what I do. Even though things seemed hard, I would try my hardest even if things looked bleak. Football was my game and I played to the best of my ability.
When I was six years old i started playing football, this has been my favorite sport ever since then. My favorite position to play was quarterback because i had a good arm. We practiced Monday through Thursday, and had games Saturday. The games were the best part of playing football, that's when you could take everything you learned at practice to use it in the games. Football is a very aggressive sport, that's why if you play you have to wear helmets and equipment to protect your body from the contact. Also when playing football you have to be careful on how you tackle and make sure your helmet is the right size, and is on the right way.
My first time playing football was in Houston, Texas. My dad took me to try out for this team name the Houston Steelers. A few of my cousins were a part of this team but I wasn't too sure if I still wanted to join the team after all. When I practiced for the first time I remember I got body slammed and that was the most crucial thing that ever happened to me I wanted to quit so bad. But knowing that I if I quit my dad will be very upset so I decided to stay in football. Playing sports is in my family's blood. There's like a bloodline in the family with guys that played in the NFL and guy’s who tried out for several NBA teams it's like a legacy that I have to lead up to. Knowing that I'm from California and playing Texas football was just a
