Some would say, Bahamas is a beautiful place to go on a Family vacation. The weather, people and climate made it the perfect choice for my families’ Spring vacation. I was 11 years old at the time and I was excited after hearing the news about this vacation because it would be my first ride on an airplane as well as my first time out of the U.S. This would be the most unforgettable vacation I’ve ever been on.
It was gorgeous! The weather, to me, was perfect. There was a constant breeze and not a single cloud in the sky when we arrived at the airport. The smell of the ocean was in the air as we walked to our rented vehicle. On the drive to our hotel, I would see the beautiful beaches from my rear passenger window. They were white, clean, and

She stood there, in shock, my father on the other hand sprung into action and swam feircly toward me. Though he swam quickly, it wasn't quick enough. I felt the pain now on my back and started to and upper arms. At this point, time seemed to stand still and all I could think or feel is massive stinging pain radiating from everywhere. My father reaches out an grabs me by the arm and pulls me to the shoreline where my mother is waiting with a towel. She wraps me tightly, and rushes me through the lobby and up to our room. I couldn’t even imagine what was going to happen next due to the insane amount of pain was now feeling. I was told to get in the hotels bathtub. I got in and my sister and mother quickly filled up the bath with cold vinegar. The pain was now tolerable enough for me to think clearly and the first thought I had was “Damn, I thought was a goner” followed by “Oh my God, this vinegar stinks”. Meanwhile, my sister is teasing me and tossing ice cubes into my vinegar bath. Next, I got out of the bath tub and realized the pain I felt in the ocean was till there. I can only describe it as extra hypersensitive skin covered in fiberglass. Let’s just say that I was exhausted and was ready to take a nap before
My father and I decided to try out our scuba equipment on a recent family trip to Anna Maria Island. We purchased the equipment second hand and tested it in our pool. We took our boat out to a nice spot near an island that had some ruins from an old military pier. My Dad told me to wait in the boat while he got in the water and tested out his gear first. Doing this may have saved his life. After getting in the water and seeming fine at first, he realized his vest had a leak and was filling up with air, preventing him from diving. There was a strong current pushing him away from the boat and as he attempted to fight the current to swim back to the boat, he became winded because the vest became too tight on his chest for him to breathe fully.
“Be sure to get a blanket,” the tour guide had said. Though it was around 95 degrees outside and there was not a cloud in the sky, I had doubted her. This trip to Florida had been a total flop so far, and I was already disappointed we had climbed aboard the shoddy Wildlife Tour speedboat instead of spending our day in the aquarium like I had been promised. There was virtually no wildlife to be found, and now I was freezing cold from the ocean breeze and high speed winds being forced upon me from the speed the boat was going. Obviously, this was a children’s tour because the only people on the boat besides the “captain” (as he called himself), the tour guide, and my grandmother and more, were young families with children that were between the
Have you ever gone far away from the place you call home? To a whole new country that isn’t connected by land to your own country? Doing such is an experience that everyone will remember, especially their first time travelling to another country. In 2011, I went with my family on a spring break vacation to the Bahamas. We didn’t only just go to the Bahamas, but did so in style on a cruise ship. I was lucky enough to visit the largest island, New Providence. Nassau is the capital city and center of the Bahamas offering everything the Bahamas have to offer. While on this trip, I got to experience a new culture, new locations, and new activities that I have never before done.
On our vacation to the Dominican Republic we had a goal to go scuba diving, when we noticed that there was a scuba diving hut we went to sign up right away. When we arrived at the front desk, we were filled for excitement. We asked the people working there the cost and details about the process of earning a certificate, but what we did not ask was about the cost. Later when we paid the expensive cost we actualized that the schedule was 2 day longer than we were staying in the Dominican Republic. We ran straight to the scuba hut only with a devastating answer, we could not get our money back.
Many people enjoy Spring Break in many different ways; most go on a vacation, and we did go on a vacation, but we decided to go on a cruise ship; the biggest in the world. Not to mention that the ship we went on was the MV Oasis of the Seas; from “Royal Caribbean”. When we got on the ship we entered this big room that was called the “Royal Promenade”, and I’d say it was about three stories tall. There was a big board walk at the back of the ship and an aqua theater where I saw a acrobat show the first night aboard. Since we had friends with us we were a big group, so we had to reserve a couple staterooms close to each other; with two in each room, and I ended up sharing a room with my big brother Jackson. We stopped at many sites along the
One day i was researching about the bahamas it had pictures and videos of the beautiful beach. It is one of the one of the many places i found interesting to go visit and enjoy my time at a beautiful island. Bahamas is one of the most magical places on earth. I decided that when I grow up, I will one day visit. The Bahamas are famous

If I got a free trip to any where in the world I would go to Hawaii. On the trip I would take Morgan because she is one of my best friends. I would go to Hawaii because I have never been there before. It also isn’t that long of a trip so that means I can spend more time having fun in Hawaii. I would also go so Morgan and I could swim in the ocean. Me and Morgan would stay in Hawaii for the first day then we would go on a cruise for the last 2 days.
I jump up dazed and confused. Wondering where and how I got here. I look around, noticing I am in a thick, shadowed jungle. The only thing I can recall from the past was going on a vacation to Hawaii. I sat there in the middle of a jungle naked, sad, and afraid. I stood up and walked around yelling, “Is anyone here.” I heard no response but a monkey climbing high in the trees. This jungle was very shady with tall Mangrove trees overhead. As I kept walking I found a bush filled with berries. I was so thrilled to find something to eat. I reached down and snached one of of the bush. I took it and started chewing it up. It tasted horrendous. It was the worst thing I have ever eaten. I kept on traveling looking for food, water, clothes, and people.
It was winter of 2010 during Super Bowl week. My family; Mom, Keith, Hunter, Alyssa, Eric, Lucas and I were driving to Minneapolis, Minnesota to have a family trip. Every year we go out of state to have a family trip. When we were in the car it took us almost five hours to get there and my legs were hurting so I tried to stretch my legs underneath the passenger seat to get rid of the pain in my knees. The ride was boring so all I did was go on my Ipod playing video games or listen to my music. When we got to Minneapolis, the leg pain ride from Oshkosh, Wisconsin was going to be worth it.
My favorite vacation, so far, is one I went on in September 2015 with my friends Alissa and Jaidah. We all share fandom interests. On the weekend of September 19, my brother went away to spend his birthday with my dad. My mom shook me awake and informed me I could bring two friends along to a room in the Dells that we would be occupying. Almost immediately I thought of the duo. I ran downstairs and texted both of them while packing a bag. They texted back not too long after, and I told them my mom and I would pick them up anywhere from 10-11 that Saturday morning. We picked up Alissa and she tried to direct us to Jaidah’s house, but she wasn’t thorough with her
Vacation is an extended period of time spent away from home and work, vacation is recommended to everyone. According to scientist, the human being brain needs to relax more often. Everyone has a special place or a chill spot where they can enjoy, or isolate themselves from the world. Those places can be described as vacation spot. My favorite vacation spot has to be France. I visited places such as Paris, Saint Tropez, and went to one of the fanciest restaurant of the country le Meurice.
Before I entered the hotel I closed my eyes and walked in. I was greeted to the new smells and the atmosphere of what it was like to be in the Bahamas. About a half hour later, my family and I were checked into our hotel room. Our room was a normal sized room with a balcony that viewed the park and ocean. After we were settled, we went downstairs to the beach. I took my first step into the crystal clear water and immediately jumped in. The water was so warm, that I did not have to take time to get used to it. Checked that off my list.
After we had finished eating we went straight back to the hotel because we were exhausted from traveling all day. Plus because of the time change, it was now 1:00 in the morning in South Dakota. So you could say we were a little tired! I was so excited to see the ocean I could barely sleep. But I knew what tomorrow would hold.
The pain shot down by back and up my neck so fast like a lightening bolt. I dropped the rope handle as soon as I had hit the surface of the water, laying in the water motionless, the board still strapped to my feet. I tried to move and got that shooting pain again so I just floated as still as I could. I heard all of the boat motors both in the water and in the air as my head would bob up down, up, down.
