When you wake up from a coma and you find yourself on an island with only your family. The only thing I remember was flying and then boom, the plane crashed. I was on an island and that is all I remember. I think I was traveling to the Puerto Rico and the plane crashed in the Bahamas. I was okay with it because it was still really good weather. Once I was out of the coma I saw my name, Lindsay Baumann, on a suitcase. I than remembered that was my name. That is how I knew it was mine. My sister Lacey and my brother Logan were awake and scavenging for help. They were on their phones the whole plane ride so, their phones were almost dead and there was no place to plug them in. We didn’t have cell phone reception either. My mom and dad were dad and so it was the …show more content…
My aunt can then call the police and we can see if we can somehow get out of this beautiful place. “I would love to live here without my parents harping on me all day,” said Logan. “I would love to get the heck out of here,” mentioned Lacey. Lindsay sent the message and within three hours a message came back saying, I will buy a plane ticket and be there as soon as possible stay there and we will find you. Lori sent back. We lived on the island with what we brought for vacation because we were going to an island anyway, so we were pretty well prepared. It was a week before Lori got here. She got a taxi and came and picked us all up. By the time Lori was there our parents were all ready smelly and deteriorating. So we threw them in an empty suitcase and brought them home. When we got to the airport our plane got delayed because of bad wind. We ended up staying at the airport overnight. Then we made it home and dropped our parents off at the funeral home. This vaction to the Bahamas was the worst one we have ever taken. I don’t think I am ever going to fly again in my entire
After everyone got ready to go, we got our bags and headed down stairs to check out of our rooms. All of that was finished it was time for us to go to Cancun, we all loaded up into a "shuttle" they called it and drove to the airport. It was about a twenty minute drive. When we got to the airport we unloaded all of our things from the "shuttle," and headed into the airport. When we got inside the airport we went over to baggage check, and they scanned our passports, weighed our bags, and then sent them off to be loaded into the plane. Once we got all done with that we made our way to security, and they checked out carry on's and out electronics. After we finished with security we then walked over to where all the stores and food places were located. Me, my mom, and my brother had an omelet for breakfast it was pretty good for airport food. After everything was finished we then went over to the place where we sit and wait until we board the plane. We waited for about ten minutes, and then Me, My grandma, My cousin Sean, and my grandpa pre boarded so we could save seats for all fourteen of us. Everyone had finally boarded the plane and after about twenty minutes of waiting, the plane then took off and we were on our way to Cancun, Mexico. A three and a half hour flight felt like forever, we went over New Orleans, St.Louis, and for about an hour and thirty
“Wait, isn't that where we are moving? Mom, we need to stay here the littles kids might go missing!” Ramyah shouted.
One day waking up thinking this was a normal day at my birth home, Jamaica, I walked to my grandparents’ house, stayed there for a couple of hours, then I saw this pretty, shiny, new Nissan Altima pulled up, and stopped. Moments later a tall dark-skinned guy stepped out the vehicle, fixed his hat, and walked to the door. When the doors open he burst into tears and said to me, “Hey son”, at first my siblings and I was in shock because we have not seen our father since 2004, I did not know what he looked like until I saw pictures of me and him together. Later that night we party and have fun together. The next morning, he drove in and we took pictures, then, we went to dunns-river falls, also we went and eat.
Raised in Jamaica, NY in the 80s and from my personal experience, the only suggestion I must share to prevent bullying is not to back down to one. A young boy then who came from the streets of Coney Island, NY moved into my neighborhood his name was Damon and for whatever reason, this boy resented me and lived in an abusive alcoholic household and one of his siblings went to prison for shooting a police officer in the buttocks. Damon the “effectual aggressor,” and I dreaded every day because when I went out to play this boy was so cruel. The term bi-directional effect drew my attention, and I remember having high anxiety due to I was afraid what this boy was going to engage in. Every day I returned home overwhelmed by depression my mother and
It was the day we were leaving for Florida for a U16 soccer tournament in West Palm Beach, July 2nd to be precise. A drive to Florida from where we live takes around 18 hours. We finished supper at 5:30, completed packing, and were on the road at 6:30. We were traveling south on Interstate 83. Nothing much to see as we were driving down the highway. A few trees here and there, and a wide variety of fields that were thriving with crops.
I dont remember the plane ride at all the first thing i remember was the cold, stinging feeling across my body when I step outside and felt that cold, I never experienced anything like that until I came here, for people who dont know Jamaica does not get cold, I’ve went swimming at the beach on Christmas before, I was not prepared for this cold I hated it every second of it, but I knew we finally made it, it took years for my parents saving, driving hours from one end of Jamaica to the other, lots of late nights filling out papers but we finally did it we finally made
On a cold wintery 10 degrees day in December Blaize decided he was going to go on a cruise ship with his friends to the Bahamas where the weather has been 75-80 degrees . Blaize and his friends Seth, Matt, Leonard, and Cameron all enjoy many of the same things. The cruise was to visit the Bahama islands and Cuba. On our way to the Bahamas we went through some extremely rough waters. The captain came over the loudspeaker and we were all told to “go to your rooms and stay in them until told otherwise” in a firm frightened voice. We all thought, “why, what is happening but we did as we were told. After sitting in our room for over an hour Seth, Cameron, Leonard, Matt, came up with the idea to explore the ship. When we opened the
I remember grabbing all my T-shirts, jeans, shorts and most importantly grabbing my uniform, dress. trombone and making sure those items were with me at all times. Then I continued to pack and got my last remaining items, wallet, keys attached to my lanyard and my iPad for the long plane ride. Finally I was ready to go and I did all that in under 2 hours. The clock now read 6:55, I took my luggage and instrument to the car and loaded them up, then came in through the front door and I heard the sizzling and crackling, the smell of hickory smoked bacon embellishing itself all around the house. My mom was making bacon and eggs, I saw the leftover peels from the oranges and I could see my mom had even made fresh squeezed orange juice, breakfast was the best part of waking up and finally we heard my mom
One thing I want to accomplish is go out of the country with my family because I would like to see more places. First of all, I want to go to Paris and the Bahamas for sure! The Bahamas is really beautiful and I plan to swim in Its beautiful clear water someday. Then, in Paris I’d like to see the Eiffel Tower and eat some fancy looking Italian food. In addition, I would also like to stay in contact with my family in California and Washington. I don’t really stay in contact with my family their because i’m not really social on the phone. So, i’d like to pursue in just visiting them. Finally, I’d like to stay in contact with my family far away.I’m capable of it but I get lazy or don’t remember. So I will undertake this goal. In conclusion, as
The plane took off and were in the air leaving the place I had only ever known. I remember when my parents told me and my two brothers that we would be moving to the United states. At the time I didn’t know where we would end up or how we were even getting there. All I knew was I would be in a totally different landscape with a lot of ethnically different people whom I have never met or seen before.
The Bahamas The Bahamas is full of a vast array of inimitable little islands, populated by the laid back people of the Caribbean. Great Exuma is one of these, a place of warm tranquillity and relaxation, a place where peace can be found. A minute number of people inhabit the 90 mile stretch of land where you will find an amazing variety of wildlife.
It was a cold December night, the trees were rustling and the snow was falling. The Salekins were ready to leave to the airport. The older siblings were arguing the young kids couldn’t find their stuff. Then all of a sudden the hour hand struck eight and everybody rushed to the car like the scene from Home Alone. We were suppose to leave at 7:30p.m because the airport was one hour away and our flight was at 9:00p.m.
To start, I had to move from California to New Jersey. Moving to New Jersey was never a plan for my family and I, but because of my grandpa being laid off from his job, we had no other option. My sister and I rode a plane while my grandparents drove to New Jersey. Once we arrived at the airport, getting our bags together and plane tickets had already become an issue. My sister’s bag was overweight and needed to be at least eight pounds lighter, which was no surprize giving the fact that the wheels on her bag could barely withstand the weight. Once we unpacked some of her things into my suitcase we were able to go on the plane. On the plane we were still wide awake but the guy next to us was snoring so loud it would have been hard not to. able to sit next to each other. My sister and I had no clue where to go once we landed off the first plane. We had to pace around the airport from one area to the other to find our bags, so that we could be
I waked up and I looked to my left to see my parents were watching the sunrise on
I woke up to the sound of crashing ocean waves, and the soft, fluffy feel of sand. Even though the loud yet peaceful sound of the ocean was almost the only thing I could hear, I heard the soft ¨PIT-PAT¨ of teeny foot steps before they suddenly sped up and went another direction. Then, everything that was happening sunk in, and I opened my eyes to see a beautiful island. I didn't remember where I was, or how I had gotten here, or anything else for that matter. The only thing I could remember was my name.
