The summer adventure that consisted of two college students in a large city. It was an adventures that would allow friend that enjoy photographer to not only allow them to do what they love, but to also build the bond and explore the world together. This trip wasn’t something that was planned for a few months, but instead somehow happen over two weeks. In the beginning I felt that this was going to be another dream that would never come to reality, but it did. After stepping foot off the Delta flight at JFK, that is when I realize that we really did make this trip happen. Driving through the different burrows of New York really forced the gears in my head to start shifting as I would begin to think about what type of shot I was looking to take.
On the listed date, I, Officer Rivera Ayala, responded to the Bethalto Quick Trip in reference to a counterfeit bill. I met with the clerk and complainant identified as Terry A. Huber who gave me the bill as the suspect identified as Megan M. Feeley (DOB 10/12/1985) was at the register. I asked Megan where she got the bill from. Megan stated that she did not know that the bill was fake, and that she got it from her brother. Megan asked if she would be able to get the bill back. I advised Megan that she would not be able to.
Hi Delta Group! A time where I went wrong with someone’s personality would be with a really good friend of mine. When I first met her, I thought she seemed slightly mean, guarded, and standoffish. Which is what the text describes as the 3rd property of moderator variable, as the “trait that is judged”. As I did I get to know her, and started hanging out with her more, I quickly realized she was the complete opposite. She just doesn’t easily open up to people, and she’s not the type of person to just instantly come off as friendly. Which of course is definitely understandable. I also realized getting to know her that many people that she would trust easily, and call her friend had broken her trust in one way or the other, which is why she came
Initially, coming to Reynolds was not my original plan after graduating from Varina high school in 2015. At first, I wanted to continue my education at VCU and I did get accepted, but the money just was not right. When I realized that I did not have enough scholarships, grants, or money saved up to go VCU I had to make another decision, but I was in denial at the same time. VCU was my dream school growing up. Everything was just mapped out in my mind until my parents and I seen the tuition total to attend. I had no other choice, but to come to Reynolds. As I was debating on what was the best thing to do, my mom signed me up without telling me. When I found out I was filled up with a mix of emotion. I was scared, nervous, upset, and
When I was in 7th grade, the whole entire grade suggested that we should go on a camping trip. We had many places to choose from, but we all agreed on going to Yosemite. The reason we chose Yosemite is because we wanted people to stay away from their video games and electronics for a couple of days and actually enjoy what beautiful things God had made and what the outside world has to offer. It was an amazing trip and we did have many unforgettable memories. But one memory I had was on the second day of the trip, it was the day we started to do activities with our group leader. We hiked up a waterfall, played some games, and also took lots of pictures. It was a very tiring day and when we were finally done for the day, It was
It was late one day in June, and the sky was as blue and clear as sparkling wine. I sat back in my hammock reading the book Unbroken enjoying myself, and my uncle came up and asked me if I wanted to play poker with him, 5$ buy in. I jumped at the idea finished my page and went inside the house. Poker is a pretty big thing in my family and I’ve grown up playing and my uncle was one of the best, so spending time with him playing poker is always one of my favorite things to do. We proceed to set up the table, “Texas Holdem“ he says, Jacks to open”. Nothing weird, so we get the game going and the pots getting pretty big when all of the sudden he drops his cards. I stare the cards dead in the eye and see that i'm going to surpass him! He looks
High school is such a different experience for everyone. We all take different paths and learn new things everyday. We learn trigonometry, how to fix cars, how to dissect a frog, and different laws in the world. The things we learn in class are very important, but along the way of expanding our educations, one will tend to learn a lot about themselves and others. For me, I feel that my high school experience was not ideal and I constantly complain about the outcome. Looking back in grade eight, I had a different plan for me. It took me up until this year to realize that although my experience was not something worth bragging about, I've learned a lot about who I am. I've learned to take chances, be patient, and
Driving across the golden gate bridge is a sight to see. Well it is a site o see if you can see through the layers of thick fog and if your car sat up high enough you could see out over the bridge. The air was not freezing, but there was a chill in the breeze that gave me goose bumps. Driving down crooked roads, and eating the sourdough bread instead of the soup inside it are special memories. It was a few days in San Francisco last summer that gave me a love for somewhere other than home.
August came along and we had to hit the road. The whole time I was nervous because this was a new place to me. I was thinking about everything, school, friends, what to do on weekends.
A vacation that i took with my family and friends. We took a vacation to Panama City Beach, FL and that was my first time going to a beach swimming in the ocean but when got there and we ate and cross the road and there was a big pizza delivery truck. We when into the hotel and unload everything we had and we was staying on floor 18 so i was kinda scared of heights. The view from the 18 floor was amazing and the water and i seen some stingrays along the sandy beach and i was scared to swim in the ocean now but i did. When all of us ate lunch i went to the first floor and out the back door and straight into the sand but it was hot so i ran into the cool cold sea water. My cousin and me, we tried swim pretty far out but we was getting so tired of the waves pussing us back and back so we let the water take us back to shore and while we going back i stuck my head under water and i seen a little fish and i tried to grab it but the water was pushing me.
My dad and I had always lived in New York City. After 15 years of experience and the guidance of my older brother, you could say that I knew my way around town. The coffee shops with the best lattes, the highest swinging swing sets in every park, and most importantly, the buildings with the best views. You would think that after living here for so long I would get sick of seeing the view of the city every day, but it just never gets old. The best spot is at the top of my apartment building, on the far northeast corner, looking over the horizon and onto the Hudson. There was no other way of completing my day, no matter the rain, snow, or blazing heat I sat on that rooftop every night as the sun disappeared, along with the overworked New Yorkers for the night. The most interesting part is, every single night, the color of the sky is always slightly different. No sunset was ever the exact same. Anyways, as I was walking back down the stairs to my condo, 7B, I got the jitters in my stomach, I was beyond excited for tomorrow, the first day of Winter Break. My older brother, Todd, was taking me and my best friend Hannah up to Vermont to go skiing. I opened our apartment door, took a quick shower, and fell asleep with Cooper on my lap while watching Full House.
On July 1st I had the outside shoot, and it was worse than the inside shoot. I had to wake up at five a.m. to get Varadero before the sunrise and we had to hurry and take pictures before the sun got too high. That day it was about one hundred degrees outside which made changing horrible. I was already irritated because I had rehearsals the night before and did not reach my bed until twelve a.m.; so I was not in the best mood. That day we finished at around three p.m. and it was not over; while we were waiting outside for my father to find a restaurant we found a gorgeous Volkswagen Beetle 1970 and took a picture with the car before the owner came back. Which made me feel really
Last summer, my family and I took a trip to New York City. We’ve visited this city about five years ago, but I didn't remember much since I was only eleven years old. This trip changed my mindset on life. I got to experience the unexplainable and took pictures that were priceless. This trip is definitely a trip to remember and will always be special to me.
When I was in eighth grade I went on my first trip out of the country to Nassau, Bahamas. Going on this trip was one of the most exciting and unforgettable times of my life. Not only was it a fun experience, it was also the first time I realized that I love traveling. While there I was lucky enough to visit many places, such as Blue Lagoon Island and the beautiful Atlantis Resort, and immerse myself in the Bahamian culture. My time in The Bahamas was not my only great memory from that trip. The journey to get to The Bahamas itself was also quite interesting.
It all started with the most exhilarating train ride ever. It was about four hours long, and we were going so fast that the world around me seemed non-existent. The trees were whizzing by so quick that I could hardly see what color they were. The food that was served melted in my mouth making me want more with every bite. Although I never wanted the train to stop, nothing could ever compare to what was awaiting my family and I when we stepped off the train. The aroma of the different types of food from a variety of places coming together to make my mouth water. Seeing the bustling streets of Paris filled with people as amazed as we were trying to take in the scenery that was so vast, it seemed like years before we could visit it all. I was so excited to see what awaited us in the days to come.
One morning my dad and I woke up in our hotel room watching the glorious sunrise and were quietly walking down the hallway of the hotel to go to the lobby. In the lobby, there were these huge advertisement banners hanging up that said, "Take a roll through the desert." There were pictures of people riding ATV's in the desert so we decided to go on an adventure.
