I went to Siga prefecture and stayed three days there in this summer.
So I had baseball tournament.
The first day, my team had first game and won.
I hit a 2-run homar in this game!
Second day, my team had second game.
The result was a dramatic come-from-behind win for my team!
Third day, my team had semifinal game and finalgame a tournament.
“At a boy Ty!” He just hit a home-run. Then I came up to the plate and hit a home-run right after Ty hit one. Ty and I were so excited. The day before that Jaxon hit one. We all called ourselves the home-run squad. It was awesome to hit two home runs back to back. The feeling is amazing when you are running around the bases.I almost sprinted all of the bases. I was so excited when I came up to bat the next time I thought I was going to hit another home run and I was very close. I hit it perfectly and it hit the wall.I was so happy after that game. After the game I did a back hand spring. We even had a party after the games. I got MVP for 4 of the 5 games. I am a pitcher a shortstop and a third-basemen. I am even a sub
I did not care much about golf before I decided to come to United States, so my score was not good enough for competing. Although I had several achievements during my freshman year, I knew that my scores, usually ranging around 100, were average for my age and not remarkable. After this first season in Tallulah Falls School, I found a new determination for the sport. I practiced hard during the next summer and prepared for my sophomore year. The golf course had become my second home. When the sophomore season started, I was ready to improve my golf skills and also make some great friends. I started loving this sport with my fantastic teammates, who improved a lot-some from knowing nothing about golf to finishing eighteen holes in a match. Refusing to be slack at practices, our team worked hard to continue our path of improvement-even the harshest of weather would not stop our passionate practices. I remember once, right after the snow, we played the next day. Although the snow had melted by the
As I mentioned earlier I have had countless of fond memories playing ball there and helped me meet some of my closest friends. Today I am someone who is very competitive and can’t stand the thought of eve losing at anything. I feel that a lot of my competitive nature started with playing little league baseball for the Carmel Youth Baseball Association. My dad was my coach for a lot of my teams so him being extra hard on me definitely had me more fired up about winning. I also couldn't stand the act of someone bragging to my face at school the next day that they struck me out or got a hit off of me. When I was younger I really couldn't stand school and so baseball was really that first activities that I worked really hard at and was very passionate about. It also created a sort of identity for me as everyone new me as more of an athlete and bonded with others who were very interested in sports. To this day I am still just as obsessed with baseball as I was back then, except now I have other passions and actually care a lot more about school. If I never played baseball for the Carmel Youth Baseball Association my identity and competitiveness would be a whole lot
This is where I learned to play baseball and found my passion. Ever since I was a kid in that league my goal was to make the big leagues (or Major League Baseball). That year I played for the Colorado Rockies. Every week we would have a game with other “majors” teams. I had really fun that year improving my game and meeting new people. Even though back then it was about having fun I still worked hard trying to make the All Stars. This is where all of the best baseball players that year play other little leagues and compete to see what league is the best. To get into the All Starts your coach on your team has to recommend you to the team. When the time for All Stars came around I got a email from my coach telling me I didn’t make the All Stars. I thought I should have made it. I worked really hard and was dedicated to making that
I am currently a senior at Weslaco East High School I was a third grader when baseball had caught my interest, baseball will always have a gigantic impact on my life, because I have met most of my friends through the game ,and I consider them family and my friends fathers, including mine all use to play when they were our age so it basically brought us closer, because we all had something in common. I was originally born in Orlando, Florida, but both my parents decided to come to a very small city called Weslaco, which is in the Rio Grande Valley which can be located in Texas. Weslaco isn’t the biggest City in the world, but this city has made me who I am today and because of this city I have met so many of my friends and family. I have made powerful memories here with the
“There’s no crying in baseball.” That is something my dad always says to me. What made me think of that? Oh yeah, I have a baseball tournament this weekend! I couldn’t wait to smell the rubber glove, feel the speed of the pitcher, and feel the turf. I wanted to get back to see my teammates and my coaches. At 5:30 it was time to head to Lenz Field!
I remember our double header against Bark River were my best games. I caught several popflies and the first time I was up to bat I hit the ball deep into center right over the center fielder’s head. The second time I was up to bat I got a double. I was so proud of how great I played and my coaches were too.
I step up to the plate. The hot lights of the Mets stadium hit my face. Clayton Kershaw was pitching. He is the best pitcher in the MLB. The pitch comes. It was a slow hanging curveball right over the middle. I swing will all my might. I hear the crack of the bat and I see the ball fly over the fence. I trot around the bases and I am approaching home plate. I step on home then I wake up.
On November 4th, 2009, Hideki Matsui, who is a New York Yankees outfielder, became the first Japanese-born player to win the World Series MVP. He lead the Yankees to the World Championship, he hit .615 with three home runs, and eight RBI’s. In addition, in Game 6, he batted in six runs, which is a Series game RBI record (Ben Walker). Therefore, Murakami, Nomo, Ichiro and Matsui’s activities affect a lot of Japanese baseball players, and many have started to have hope of going to America, and their activities will become a gateway of Japanese baseball players in America.
Ever since I could remember, I have always had a great interest and love for the game of baseball. As a kid, I would spend countless hours in the backyard with my grandfather, or even by myself, tossing, hitting and fielding a baseball. When I wasn't in the yard pretending to be Nomar Garciaparra I would watch the Boston Red Sox games on TV with my Grandfather. Even in my early adolescence, as impatient as most are, I had the patience to sit there and watch the Sox.With my eyes glued to the screen with a look of anticipation fixed on my face ready to mimic my grandfather with the excitement of a home run hit or the frustration of Mo-Vaughn striking out. Call me crazy, but I was addicted, even as a young boy, to Boston Red Sox baseball.
Softball is a culture within itself comprised of a very niche community of individuals that work hard and continually strive to learn, grow, and evolve. Playing for both a local team and travel team really helped me to establish a sense of community among my peers and teammates. Playing a sport all throughout my adolescence really instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment. It taught me dedication,
I would like to talk about the accomplishment about baseball. I have played the baseball since I was second grade student of elementary school so I spent almost of all weekend and long vacation for the baseball. During the three years of the high school life, I could appearance for the starting member. First in high school life, my seniors were treating me badly because my position changed after the entrance so I could not play well at third position. I tried to practice harder with friends who support me including some same grade players and other seniors. After that, my skill became better than the first one and I became be able to hit in the game so the seniors became to acknowledge me. During the first-year convention of the baseball, I
Japanese baseball can be seen as a foreign game being shaped and molded by their own culture. The league has been highly successful and is gaining steam. The MLB plays a yearly series against the Nippon Baseball League, and recently the tides have been turning. The Japanese have been topping the MLB more and more often. This is a testament to the quality players that the league produces. Even though it might appear as if baseball has only become a major sport in the United States, baseball has been molded and diversified by the Japanese league in many ways. This molding creates an altered and valid
This is the story about the time I went to my first baseball game in 2004. It was a St Louis Cardinals game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Together with my other team members, we decided to practice for the tournament on a daily basis. We kept watching
