My First Baseball Game
This is the story about the time I went to my first baseball game in 2004. It was a St Louis Cardinals game against the Cincinnati Reds. First, we were driving to St Louis. While we were driving there we played a lot of games and watched a lot of movies. We listened to quite a lot of music and played I spy often. The best part was when we were driving and we saw the tour bus for the Cardinals because they had just played a game in Pittsburgh the day before. Next, we got to the game and we saw the players warming up and we went to the dugout and saw players. When we were at the dugout Skip Schumaker and I was next in line to get an autograph but he had to go. Once the game started Albert Pujols was third at bat and
One summer day, me and my sister penelope received a call from my aunt. The call was to ask if we would go to a baseball game. Well of course we agreed, why would we not go to what would be our first game. The date was set, it was a day before Independence day. I was very excited I counted down on my cute marble print planner with a big blue sticker phrased “ seize today”. Finally I’m going to do something for the summer!
The history background of baseball from more masterminded bat-and-ball games is difficult to carry after with precision. A French structure from 1344 contains a depiction of pastors playing a distraction. Accord once held that today's baseball is a North American transform from the more organized pleasure rounders, overwhelming in, inescapable in Astounding England and Ireland. Baseball Before We Knew It: A Look for the Foundations of the Redirection, by David Piece, proposes that the preoccupation begun in Britain; beginning late revealed obvious affirmation reinforce this position. Square fights that rounders and early baseball were truly neighborhood assortments of each other, and that the excitement's most provoke harbingers are the English distractions of stool ball and tut-ball.
Finally the game started and we played well and so did they. The game was close the whole way threw and we came to the final inning tying them. We were the home team so we got to bat last. Two of the three outs
We drove up the coast to San Fransisco and it took forever! Someone broke in, I got promoted and we saw the Phillies lose to the Dodgers. I got stuck in the airport for 2 days, we found Randy’s donuts and stayed in an airstream in the middle of Malibu.
(swing bat) Well, there's my 60 th home run. I am babe Ruth, if you didn't already know. And I want to talk about my life. I was born February 6, 1895 and I was one of 8 children in my family. With my parents working long hours I was a troublemaker, since there no one was to watch me. At age 7 my parents sent me to St. Mary’s Industrial School for Boys. I skipped school a lot and caused a lot of fights around my neighborhood. That's when my parents realized I needed a more strict environment. At school I started to fall in love with baseball. At age 19, my mentor Brother Matthias invited Jack Dunn, the owner of the Baltimore Orioles, to watch me play baseball. Jack Dunn was so impressed that
There wasn’t much to do while I waited for the game or sometimes games to end. Usually it was really hot or cold. When it as hot I mostly stayed in the shade and if it was cold I just stayed at the bleachers in a blanket. But the weather was ok occasionally. Sometimes there was a playground for me to distract myself with. That was ok.
The bus ride down to Peoria was long, but because of our anticipation we felt like it flew by. The tournament directors threw a banquet for all the participants. Each team had a half an hour practice and then were asked to come to the banquet. The next day after the banquet was our first game. We played Hall in our first game, it was a tough win. We were overcome with excitement and happiness. My team and I were moving on to the championship game. The next day we all were up bright and early with excitement and anticipation. We made it to the fields early so we could practice before the game. the game began with the national anthem giving us a new hope for the game. The other team was tough, the pitcher was striking out all of our hitters. The pitcher also hit four home runs during the game. My team and I lost the championship game, but we still made
I threw the first pitch and 5 minutes later “Strike 3,” the ump said! I was 0-2 with an RBI and I pitched 4 inning shutout. The next day we played at 10:00 and 2:00. I woke up and got ready. We were late to leave.
“Justice are you almost ready?”, It was my very first baseball game ever, and I was going to see the Giants play against the A’s! I brought my mitt with me to the game just in case I would get a ball. This was going be a fun family event! My mom planned this and got everyone tickets. My older sisters Brittany and Dominique and their boyfriends Mitchell and Devan came over for my birthday dinner before leaving for San Francisco. I always choose juicy, delicious skirt steak with my mom’s famous creamy mashed potatoes for my special dinner followed by her homemade carrot cake smothered with the sweetest cream cheese frosting. We took off as soon as all of us finished our food. When we finally arrived, I leaped out of the car as soon as
It was a hot summer day in Hammond, Louisiana and I was pouring down sweat like I had just jumped in a pool. The game was just about to begin, me and my team was eagle eyeing the bomb squad. It was so quiet that you could hear your own sweat hitting the bench. The umpire broke up everyone’s concentration by saying, “play ball”! The defense had ran out on the field and I started rolling ground balls from 2nd to short-stop to third base. They had all made good throws back to me and then I threw the ball into the dug-out because the game had begun.
The beginning of baseball has had it twist on who started the game and who made the rules to the game. The sport we know as baseball was original name stickball before it became an organized sport. Baseball was a game that many just played as part of their moderate exercise for recreational purpose or time and they used the game to stay in shape. It was usually a middle class white -collar worker who played the game.
Finally the time was here to play some Baseball. No one had seen how fast the pitcher pitched the ball because I was the only one at practice. Anyway I was the second one who was going up to bat but my team was in the field first so I kinda got some time to see how they play. But we had a really good pitcher so it was 1, 2, 3, strikes it was time for us to bat.
Ever since I could remember, I have always had a great interest and love for the game of baseball. As a kid, I would spend countless hours in the backyard with my grandfather, or even by myself, tossing, hitting and fielding a baseball. When I wasn't in the yard pretending to be Nomar Garciaparra I would watch the Boston Red Sox games on TV with my Grandfather. Even in my early adolescence, as impatient as most are, I had the patience to sit there and watch the Sox.With my eyes glued to the screen with a look of anticipation fixed on my face ready to mimic my grandfather with the excitement of a home run hit or the frustration of Mo-Vaughn striking out. Call me crazy, but I was addicted, even as a young boy, to Boston Red Sox baseball.
When we got there we all hopped out of the car and went to the ticket booth for access to the park we bought our tickets then went on the tram into the awesome land of Disney World. Our first stop was at the main park where we all split up i was with dad my little sister was with mom and my Big sisters where on there own. Dad and I went to the space stuff and the
While we were in the car, we listened to loud music, played different “car games,” and just talked as a family. It soon felt like time was still. I was bored and didn’t know what to do anymore.
