When you upload a video to Youtube, Google attempts to transcribe the speech into subtitles, usually with comedic consequences. I am able to add the correct subtitles at the correct times of the videos.

I want to begin with my opening statement about deaf issue. How come it is difficult for disabled people especially myself to have access to closed captioning on all video sites on the interest. Like for instance, people are required to watch a one hour first-aid educational video clip before taking an exam that allows a person to gain a state certification and the chance to be hired at the Texas Health Center. However, the Texas Health Center would not hire a person with a hearing disability due to failure on the exam because the video clip does not provide closed caption. People that are affected by non-captioning made a complaint to the Texas Health Center. But the problem is, the Texas Health Center still has not responded to this issue.
Throughout the past year I went through a great deal of undertakings that caused me to become more experienced with my skills and how to overcome various challenges. These really built up my character and the way I am today. In all aspects, this past year consisted of going to Killington, Vermont, my brother going into the Air Force, meeting him in Texas for his graduation of basic training, completing a double backflip on a trampoline, landing a front flip on flat ground, accomplishment of a 2 ½ front flip on a diving board, getting 2nd at leagues, and competing in districts. This would ideally have been done before the class discussion and assignment was passed out. I felt that this would be a beneficial idea based off of chapter three from Working with English Language Learners, by Stephen Cary. In this chapter the class was working on reading a book in class, to help ESL students the teacher had a video of the book for them to watch prior to the in class reading. Even though this doesn't have to do with a book and a video may not correspond with the passage I choose I felt that having the additional audio to the reading would be beneficial for these
This may be true,but there’s some bad things about the videoes.It doesn’t add that much to the table.It doesn’t have many things that makes it different from the text.How could you understand something better if it’s a copy and paste with slight changes.There the same thing with one being written and one being said out loud.As stated,you can reread parts of the text,know the definitions of the words stated,and so forth.

I am José, a 51-year old Brazilian, a native Portuguese speaker. My Portuguese level is far beyond the average since I have an outstanding educational and cultural background. I am also highly fluent in English, not due to plenty of formal education only, but also for a lot of practice in professional and social situations.
At the end of my Junior year, I watched all of my older friends work on scholarships and prepare for graduation. Everyone seemed to know what they wanted to go to school for, and what they wanted to do after they graduated. While watching them, I began to reflect on the past school year, thinking back to the first week of school sitting in the locker room talking to to my friends about how we are ready to be seniors and figure out what we want to do with our lives. But, listening to all the seniors talking about their majors and schools, I began to feel nauseous. I had no clue what I wanted to do after high school. Was I supposed to have that figured out already? I then began to have questions thrown at me left and right throughout the summer.
When starting this video project my group and I was quite hesitant about the entire idea of understanding captions. I love music from the beats to the artist to the lyrics, but I was never really familiar to captions until this project. To me captions were a special communication tool used for the hearing impaired audience or audiences who may speak a different language. I never would have thought that I would be recreating a music video, adding captions and then analyzing those captions until this class. This entire process was something unique and eye opening, for me and my group members.
