People say a dog is a man’s best friend, but this dog was not my best friend. It happened Thanksgiving morning, the weather was cold as ice, but I forgot to wear my jacket. I was walking one of my dogs( and luckily she was not a runner). I went on the trail I usually go on. One part of the trail is touching the fences to backyards. Unfortunately, a dog was outside in one of the backyards.
When I passed the backyard with the dog in it, the dog reached its head through the bars and quickly bit my hand. I let go of my dog's leash and she started to bark at the dog very loudly. I tried to pull my hand back, but the dog held on like my hand was glued to his mouth. The dog kept shaking my hand back and forth, back and forth, back and forth violently.
Six months ago, almost to the day, my best friend and her new puppy were attacked. She was dog sitting her grandmother’s Mastiff, whom at the time had no previous violent history. She kept the Mastiff and her puppy in separate rooms in order to make sure there were no problems, but that wasn’t enough. One day, out of nowhere, the Mastiff broke down the door separating them and went on a full-fledged attack toward the puppy. My friend tried to make it out of the door of the house, but to no avail. The Mastiff bit her by the arm and dragged her to the ground forcing the puppy
My dog rudy has always been with me up until not very long ago. Before I was born my parents rescued rudy and I think that may have influenced how he acted the rest of his life. Rudy was trained to be a fight dog when he was really small only about a year old and he was also trained to attack anybody in uniform like a police officer or a firefighter and that what could have cost him his life. One day the man who trained rudy was arrested on multiple charges and my dog attacked the police officers, when they gained control the officers locked him in a bathroom with no food and only toilet water. Three days later the grandmother of the man arrested called my auntie who had just had a baby and could not care for a dog and
Every year, millions of Americans are sent to the emergency room due to injuries suffered from dog bites, many of which require expensive medical care. In severe cases, dog bites can result in long-lasting damage and permanent scarring, as well as emotional and mental trauma. In New York, dog owners have a responsibility to take reasonable steps to ensure that other people are safe from their pets. When they neglect this duty, or when the dog has vicious tendencies, turn to The Finkelstein Law Firm, PLLC's personal injury attorneys for help collecting compensation for your injuries.
However, if the attack was by a random dog at the dog park, you would need to make sure that you identify the owners of the dog. It is vital that you ask the person whom the dog was with if they are the owners
On 07/07/16, at 6:25pm, I called dog owner Alex Ginsberg for a follow-up in regards to a injury-possible dangerous or vicious dog/owner surrender. I asked Mr. Ginsberg what took place, Mr. Ginsberg stated on 07/03/16 at approximately 8:30am, he was in the kitchen with his girlfriend, he was heating up food in the microwave and his girlfriend was trying to place a dog harness on their dog name Cooper. Mr. Ginsberg stated that food can trigger Cooper in becoming hyper and unpredictable. Mr. Ginsberg girlfriend was having difficulties getting the harness on Cooper due to his behavior, Mr. Ginsberg switched places with his girlfriend, as he was putting the harness over Cooper’s head the dog turned around and bite Mr. Ginsberg on his left hand.
After all the yelling ,screaming, fighting, arguing we were finally finished cooking Thanksgiving dinner. While the whole family was getting washed up ,my grandma’s dog Fido entered the kitchen. He was the most spoiled little brat in the world. Every time we tried to get him in trouble he would run and hide under Grandma’s wheelchair. Last, year Fido ate the Thanksgiving turkey, resulting with us going to eat at some funky restaurant. With nothing better to do Fido started sniffing around the kitchen and sure enough he found the turkey. My dad and I kind of knew something like that was going to happen again so we made sure that the turkey was nice and safe in the oven. But, that sure didn’t stop Fido. He kept scratching, growling, and biting
It was early Friday afternoon, the start of Memorial Day weekend and I almost lost my best friend. Now usually on Memorial Day weekend my family and close family friends go camping but this year the other family couldn’t go so we decided to call it off. Not having anything to do that day I decided to take my dog for a walk. My dog is a Terrier Poodle mix so she’s not very big. Her name is Pepper and she’s just your average lap dog but she’s my best friend. So i put her leash on her and asked my little sister is she wanted to go and she said no, so it was just Pepper and I. We made it two houses down before the neighbor's German Shepherd came to meet us. There was nothing to worry about though because this is a nice dog, so I thought. Before I knew what was happening the German Shepherds jaw crushed down on Peppers back and stomach, picked her up, shook her like a chew toy, and threw her. The
The two deer stopped for a second. One after the other they turned around and started walking back into the woods. After seeing them start to leave, the dog went wild. He yanked me down the hill, catching my jacket on the pole to the right. I yelled for him to stop but it seemed he was in a blinding rage. I felt like he was on the verge of dragging me down the hill into the woods if I didn’t let got. Then I realized what he was doing to my brand new jacket. I began pulling the leash back with all my might and once the deer took the last step back into the woods, Dino calmed
My brother has a Blue Heeler, Border Collie mix. His name is Saw. He is very protective of my brother and I. Saw was in his yard, under supervision, and a teenage boy decided to walk into my brother’s yard. Saw was protecting his yard and bit the kid. The city took Saw and put him into quarantine for 10 days. They classified him as “potentially dangerous”. Saw has to wear a tag that says that he is “potentially dangerous” and my brother has to put up a sign that says that a “potentially dangerous” dog lives in his house. If Saw bites another person, he will either be killed or unable to live in town. The kid was trespassing on my brother’s property when Saw bit him, yet Saw got the bad end of the stick. We believe that Saw was abused and he has never had an owner for very long at a time. The owner before my brother had Saw for one day and then was going to shoot him because he was hyper. Saw is very protective because of his past and it is not a reason to kill

Before the age of three I had an array of tests performed on me that most people do not have in a lifetime, including ultrasounds, MRIs, CAT scans, and endoscopies. However, none of the tests told the doctors what was wrong. They could not figure out what was causing me, starting at only one years old, to throw up starting at 3 A.M. and ending at 12 P.M., at least two nights a week. This went on for years. My parents and I became accustomed to these recurring “episodes” because medications only worked for so long, eventually my body would become used to them and the doctors would have to figure out what to prescribe me next. By the age of ten, I had outgrown my mysterious illness, but, I am still working to outgrow all of the struggles it
It all started in the beginning of summer 2014 at the dog park while running, when I saw a medium sized brown dog. I approached him slowly because I was indeed scared of him, he turned out to be very friendly and carefree. My first thought was “who’s dog is this?’ I asked around making sure he was in fact a home less dog before making any further
Max was a year and a half old pitbull with white and black fur. He was very strong and energetic. My brother settle him on the backyard where he can run all day. One day it was hot outside and my children can not just stay home all day. In the morning we went to swim in the pool, and then go shopping to the mall. After all came home tired but in the good mood. As always kids wanted to check on the dog but I do not let them do it without any adult supervision. First pet the dog my youngest son. Then the oldest, and then the middle one, Vitaliy. When he stopped by Max,he wagged his tail and Vitaliy reach out his hand to pet him. A moment and Vitaliy was hit to the ground by one kick of the dog paw. Cry, scream, blood. No one was expecting anything like that. I do not remember how I got over the Max, grabbed my son and run inside the house. When I look at my son i saw that his upper lip was torn and blood all over the face. His shoulder had many big fat scratches. He did not stop crying. While I was still holding him I called an ambulance and sat down on the couch in the living room. After all I called animal control and reported what was happened. They sent an animal control officer to take him away. Because of Max’s behavior they decide to euthanize him. I understood that it was a right decision however until it happens I called dog’s family where he lived before ours. They
Has a dognapper ever dognapped your dog? Well… that happened to my friend before! One day a girl called Nora was playing with her puppy called snowball in her backyard. She loved her cute and adorable puppy so much! It had a big, soft, fluffy bed and so many toys to play with! But that day, she will never forget. She saw with her own eyes how snowball ran to the fence and started barking and digging.
My mom and I were holding treats out to him to try to get him to come back under the medium-sized hole in the fence, but none of our efforts worked. Larry being a large dog, we didn’t understand how he got through a hole that wasn’t that big. As we discussed what we thought it was, the animal, which we discovered was a deer, got up and started to run deeper into the woods, followed by Larry. In that moment, I decided to hop my wooden fence and run after the deer and my dog. Holding a bag of treats in my hand and running through the woods dodging trees and spiky plants, I repeatedly called his name, trying to get him to come back to me. After around thirty seconds of me running after Larry and the deer, the deer stopped. I kept trying to get my dog’s attention by calling his name and
