College was always that one thing that seemed so far away to me. My whole life I remember people talking about it and all I could think about was how it seemed so for away; that I couldn’t possibly make it that far. But lo and behold, here I am; a freshman in college. Starting college of course comes with many fears; “What if I miss a class? What if I forget to do my homework? What if I get too homesick? Am I even ready for this?”. But out of all of those minor concerns, only one really makes me worried: What if I fail at my dream? I have always wanted to be an artist. I doodled everyday, taught myself the skills and even experimented with different methods and media. So it only seemed fitting that I become an artist (An animator to be more
When I started Chaffey College I did not had a college major in mind. My educational plan was set up to take general education for the first two semesters. It took me a month to realize I wanted to be a Dental Assistant. There was a waiting list for the program, but, fortunately I could obtain all the documents need it to be qualified. Now, my education plan is set up to graduate from Chaffey College by 2018. I will end up with an Associate Degree as a Register Dental Assistant. My education plan was set up to graduate in less than 3 years with the best experience and knowledge I could get. Being in college had made me increase my education goal, not only will I get a career in the Dental field but I will continue to become a mathematics teacher
My College and Career goals include graduating college and getting a job. I wish to attend the University of Alabama. I plan to major in occupational therapy or speech therapy. After I graduate with my bachelor's degree I wish to get my master's degree. After I finish my schooling I want to receive a job that allows me to provide for my family. I wish to receive this job in my degree's field. After receiving this job I wish to improve to reach a leadership role.
I took every art class possible at school, then by the time senior year came I already took all the classes so I took three independent studies and spent about three hours a day in the art room with the only teacher whom I actually liked, and it was heaven creating anything I wanted from a ceramic flamingo to a plastered seahorse made from pumpkin gourds. Spending time in that art class was the only thing that got me through the day and made math and science classes go by faster knowing I had something to look forward to. I am so excited to start the ascend of my future by coming to BGSU, but it is a little overwhelming to know that my future career path will be judged by how I spend the next four years of my life, however there are many goals and accomplishments that I want to accomplish before I hear the name Anthony Joseph Sansalone being called from the loudspeakers of the graduating class of 2022 at
As a junior in Early College I would more or less consider this my second year, as I have been taking college classes for three years now. However, I can still identify an issue I am facing with my courses. As I am trying to graduate a five year program in only four years, I have taken on a lot of responsibility as a 16 year old. I am currently taking 6 courses this semester, and I will have to take five courses every other semester to graduate on time. As I thought this would be a busy course load for me, I ended up quitting my job because they could not comply with the hours I requested due to school. I completely regret this, as I now have to work at a job that I am not making much money at and I have even had to take on some side jobs just to be able to pay my insurance on time. Sometimes, people make decisions that they think will better them and make life easier, but they make these decisions without careful consideration and at least trying the circumstance before changing everything.
During the past three years at Montgomery College, I can say that I’ve changed my major about ten times. At first it was from becoming an obstetrician, to midwife, pediatric nurse, social worker, ultrasound technician, school counselor and the list goes on, but I’ll stop here before I bored you. It is now my last semester at Montgomery College and I realized after changing my major so many times, there was one thing that every single one of these careers had in common. Working with mothers to be and infants, I said to myself “this is my passion”. As I was doing my research, I came across the topic of “maternal and child health” and under that topic the university of Maryland at college park was one of the links that was provided. I didn’t
I wrote this inspirational and persuasive book to stimulate all college bound student’s career decisions. A stimulated choice means that your college aspiration is prayerfully pumped-up with two of God’s counsels: spiritual enrichment and spiritual empowerment. These two activators serve to remind new college students to put God as their first priority.

1. What experience do you like talking about the most? What has been the most interesting, intriguing, and exciting part of your life- why, and what did you learn from it?
I have always been a studious school-minded person. I went to school at Miles Exploratory Learning Center aka Miles ELC from preschool to 8th grade. I was very hard working receiving all A's and B's throughout my schooling. I then moved to Tucson Magnet High School. I was top 25 out of 600+ kids in my class and got to wear an honors cord and be called up in front of everyone. I graduated high school with a 3.8 GPA something I am very proud of. I worked very hard in high school to make sure I graduated with good grades because I needed all the scholarships I could get to be able to afford college since I am white and middle class and not very many scholarships are offered to middle class families.
Growing up I always took part in extracurricular activities to be more active and social in my life. I grew up with two brothers who had very different interests in things than me so I had to rely on friends and activities to help me from becoming couch potato.
I attended three different high schools as a teenager. I was a member of the JROTC program for four years. As devoted as I was I was on the unarmed drill team for two years at Roosevelt high school called the “ Riderettes “. My junior year of high school we actually made first place out of seventy schools in Kentucky, Louisville. Which means we qualified for Championship Daytona, Fl Nationals. It was a lifetime experience for me as a teenager. Who knew I would be going to Kentucky or Daytona for free with a team I can actually call my sisters. One of the most things I loved about my trip was the beach early in the morning with the sunrise out and all you could see was the beautiful blue waves washing over the shore.
Although most people would continue post-secondary after high school, I plan on going to college, most likely Langara college, first after graduating. At first, I did want to go straight to UBC or SFU after high school, however, I started thinking of what I wanted to do. Then it occurred to me of how this is going to affect my entire life. From what I heard from others, people sometimes change their decisions based on what they want to do as a career. Not only does this take a lot of time on studying something else after changing their primary focus, but also costs a lot of money. Unfortunately, I know that I won’t have enough money to pay off the financial expenses just to study for the career I want for my future. I need to make sure that
My education and career goals are to get an early childhood education degree from the University of Alaska, receive my teaching license, and hopefully find a job with Head Start or perhaps one of the public schools in Anchorage. I hope to achieve this within four years. I am returning to college after a 35 year break in which I had an acting career, got married, had two daughters and taught preschool classes in the Minneapolis park system for 13 years. My goals in teaching are to engage children in learning with scientifically based curriculum and use my talents and experience in music, creative drama and the arts to enhance my lesson plans. I have found that young children respond energetically and enthusiastically when lessons walk hand in
Undoubtedly, I was in the quarterlife crisis 3 years ago before entering college because in this time I only was worried about stupid things and I didn’t be conscious of other important things for example my degree.
High school, college, there is so much to think about, but there is so little time. You’re in your first year of high school. You’re bright-eyed not knowing what to do, then you’re a senior there are deadlines and there is no more time. You’re a freshman in high school, learning how to be successful. Then a very short four years pass and you are in your freshman year of college.
