1. Writer
In my younger years of elementary school, I would spend most of my free time writing. One of my teachers taught me how to cultivate my active imagination by turning my thoughts into stories. I filled up three notebooks with fictions by the time I was in 6th grade. After that year, I would only write occasionally until my passion was sparked again around 10th grade. Since then, I’ve been practicing improving both my creative and professional writing skills and wish to incorporate them as a large part of my career.
2. Biologist
As with writing, my interest in life science began at a young age. The highlight of my summers in pre-school and elementary school was attending day camps at places like the Pittsburgh Zoo, the Carnegie Museum

I will always be somebody’s daughter, and while what I do in that role will change over the years the title never will. My parents provide me with unconditional love which I cannot always reciprocate. I’m now capable of giving more emotional support to my mother, which was something she did so much when I was a teenager. Being a daughter has become like being a friend with the rules altered. We can go out and have fun together but must show more emotional maturity to each other than we would an average acquaintance. Friends will come and go, but my parents will be around to listen until death do us part.
9. Dog/cat lady
The largest two-party issue outside of politics is whether man’s best friend or man’s best frenemy is the superior pet. Cat people and dog people have a plethora of reasons why one animal is better than the other. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved both. Unfortunately, I’ve never had a dog and my family’s cats died when I was 5 or 6. But, I find both animals to be adorable, cuddly, and comforting. I’d prefer to be a parent to a pet than a human, whether it be a cat or a dog. Being around animals is fundamental aspect of my life, and having one which can fit in my lap would be even better.

This program reinforced my motivation to pursue my interest in biology in college. I plan to continue research throughout college and pursue a Ph.D in biological
The financial statement analysis of Doctors Hospital raises hopes and concerns regarding the financial performance and financial situation of the hospital. A rise in net assets and drop in liabilities will support the financial base of the hospital. Profits from short-term I nvestments should maintain this base, and improve the total assets. There is a concern in regards to cash flow and net income. There is a large reduction in cash flow of $2,222,000, which means there might be a shortage in cash flow to continue the project or purchase capital equipment. The organization should have to find solutions like to borrow from banks, spreading payments in future, etc. to manage the shortage of cash flow (Finkler et al., 2013). Another area
Through life I have had no Idea what I was going to do as a career. At one point, I wanted to be a Doctor; at another point a Marine Biologist; and a teacher, a nurse and the list goes on. I have a love for learning and the more I learn the happier I have felt. Over the course of many years I have learned a great deal in various areas, still not sure of where I wanted to settle on as a career. Till now with my current employment with the local library.
Ever since I can remember I have stayed busy by participating in every activity I could get my hands on. Spending so much of my time working on getting that perfect pass, mastering a triple pirouette, and focusing on school has taught me what it means to have a hard work ethic. Through being involved in so much and having many people’s support I have learned who I want to be. My grandmothers have impacted my life in unimaginable ways and encourage me to strive for what I want to be: a marine biologist.
Immigration has been a controversial topic for the United States for many years and immigration law, which is structured to import workers and family members (Posner, 2013), has been a concerned with mid-term elections and recent events. There has been a lot of attention in the media as of lately due to the entrance of over 57,000 unaccompanied Central Americans entering the country illegally. To take control of the situation Sen John Carnyn and Rep Henry Cuellar proposed a bill that would give birder control the opportunity in deciding rather children should be sent back immediately or if they should be allowed to have a court hearing. If they are allowed to have a court hearing, judges would then be required to make a final decision within seven days. The push for immigrants cases to be moved to an earlier date could undermine children’s rights and lead to a greater backlog of cases considering that it takes children longer to acquire lawyers and the chances of being granted citizenship without a lawyer is significantly lower than the chances of staying if you had a lawyer which is nine out of ten. By speeding up the process such cases would be ignoring the due process rule, would create a higher risk of legal errors, and clients are not being properly aware of their changed court date. For example, in the passage the author mentioned the case in which two illegal immigrants were seeking shelter with their Guatemalan father in Virginia received
I remember being awaken by the loud commotion going on from the living room, so I decided to go check. I went out calling for my parents, but to my surprise, I only saw my mom on the phone crying from the reflection of a mirror. I wondered where my dad was. I got closer towards the living room and stood by the wall. I witnessed my dad sitting down on the floor having trouble to breath complaining about chest pain while my mom stood next to him. I closed my eyes in fear. I then heard something calling me to open my eyes. It was a siren that got louder and louder each second. I stood up and saw red lights shining through the window. There was a knock at the door and my mom went to open the door. Two men and a woman came through the door in navy
School is out! I ran and zipped through the back door into my safe haven. I leaned against the deciduous tree and watched as the graceful, draped foliage of this ornamental tree flowed in the cool brisk air. I sat there for a bit taking in the scent of freshly mowed grass and wet dirt, then I jumped up with excitement. A sudden, small burst of movement caught my eye. I followed the movement and walked steadily, cautiously, and carefully so as to not startle the creature, much like a tiger stalking its prey. The creature moved its head slightly and flickered its tongue, tasting the air. I moved close, and imitating my idols, I quickly placed my thumb gently but firmly on the head of the snake and my index finger under its head and picked it
Hi Mrs. Carlin this is Jurnee Alexis Carter! I am so excited to be taking AP Biology for my senior year science. I remember being in B2 biology freshmen year and it was one of my favorite classes of my entire year. I love biology and everything about biology. My last science teacher was Ms. Yates for Chemistry Advanced. Chemistry was a very interesting subject but the style of how the teacher taught the subject was not helpful to me. A lot of the time she would be more bitter about life then actually teaching the subject in a helpful manor. I also took Anatomy and Physiology my junior year. Anatomy was one of my favorite classes since I find everything about the body so amazing I enjoyed every single part of the class. During sophomore
While you may have the financial bandwidth to hire a professional writer, it’s massively important that you cultivate this skill within yourself.
In an average household, consisting of the parents and their children, it is quite common to see an extra member of the family – the domestic pet. Truly, there are many kinds of domestic animals that have been adopted into the homes of individual families across the globe: fish, dogs, cats, horses, hamsters, etc. Out of the countless number of kinds of pets, dogs and cats earn a special place in people’s hearts; they are the most popular. Though they both are highly valued among their owners, cats and dogs remain in an ongoing popularity contest. Some people believe cats are superior to dogs, while others hold the opposing view that dogs hold higher rank than cats. Cats, however, are indeed the more superior species of domesticated pets rather than their canine counterparts for two important reasons.
The reason why I want to develop as a writer is that writing is one of the necessary skills an employee (or a student) should have, and great writings create many
Having a pet is a wonderful idea. Pets bring companionship, personality, and gut wrenching humor to households across the world. Having previously owned both a cat and a dog, and currently being without a pet, I began to think about getting a new furry friend. Born a dog lover, and bred into a cat lover, I had the difficult decision of choosing one of the two.
Being home educated throughout the duration of high school, I found that much of my education came from being self motivated and self taught. Having come from a family that was focused on education and my social skills—my Father with a Bachelor 's in education, and my mother teaching my brother and me at home—I felt strongly about reading and gaining knowledge in various areas of interest. However, I excelled most expediently in any coursework that had a creative or expressive quality to it. These were the mediums that felt the most natural. Although I was initially a slow writer, my proficiency began to evolve during my time in community college, when I took a composition class with a professor that strongly encouraged me to express myself through my creative writing.
Writing takes up a significant portion of high school English classes. However, it often becomes monotonous as teachers assign the same types of assignments throughout middle and high school. It is beneficial to students to write research papers and works of fiction, however, in their high school years it becomes increasingly vital for them to learn both how to create stories and how to communicate in the professional world. In high school, young people begin entertaining ideas about possible career paths, as well as pursuing internships and opportunities related to the fields they find interesting. This requires that they become adept at creating
Writing has always been something I dread. It’s weird because I love talking and telling stories, but the moment I have to write it all down on paper, I become frantic. It’s almost as if a horse race just begun in my mind, with hundreds of horses, or words, running through my mind, unable to place them in chronological order. Because I struggle to form satisfying sentence structure, it takes me hours, sometimes even days, to write one paper. It’s not that I think I’m a “bad writer,” I just get discouraged easily. Needless to say, I don’t think highly of my writing skills. When I was little I loved to both read and write. I read just about any book I could get my hands on, and my journal was my go to for my daily adventures. Although it’s
