Personal Development Plan Analysis

Week two gave us an inside look on what the six steps are during the planning process. These steps are situational analysis, alternative goals and plans, goal and plan evaluation, goal and plan selection, implementation, and finally monitor and control. The step that Tina, Joanne, and Chris thought was most important in the planning process was the role of setting up alternative goals and plans. They believe it is always a good idea to have an alternative plan just in case the original plan did not achieve the intended goal. We all were able to agree that having a backup plan was a great way of running a business.

In module 6, the part I found most valuable was the Deliberate Development Plan. I enjoyed learning about how to make a step by step plan to develop an Airman. Deliberate Development Plan is more than just mentoring an Airman by telling them to do something to help their career. From the module, I got to understand that Deliberate Development Plan involves breaking down a plan of action for a particular Airman to help him reach his goals. Deliberate is the time it takes to look over or talk about the goals carefully. Develop is to create or make the steps needed to reach the goals. Plan is the path you help the Airman to take to get to their goals.

Avi) A PDP is a Personal Development Plan and is developed between you and your manager. Your manager will record information about your learning and development needs in work. It should include things like targets, agreed objectives and activities to meet them and standards that are required. All of this is built into

One of the most difficult obstacles in achieving personal self-development is the lack of a good action plan. It is not a difficult task, but requires learning to be efficiently executed. I also hope this helps with self-improvement and relationships with family and friends. It so far has also allowed me to see some values that I have that I look for. I believe this plan will help me stay on path with my long term education goals and career goals. This personal development plan will allow me to see where I want to be in 1 year, 5 years, 10 years etc. from now. I believe this plan will also give me clarity as to what I want I want to be doing with my life and will also give me a course of action. You must get clear, crystal clear, on exactly what it is that you want in life. The first step to success begins with the clearest vision of exactly this, what you want. This can shift. As we grow and evolve, things change. Desires change. What you want may change, which is ok, that’s fine, and that’s good, change is good, but you’ve got to stay clear on this vision.

Like I said before we can use these steps towards anything. First I pre-contemplate thinking that there is nothing wrong then I contemplate that I should start but maybe late after that is preparation. In preparation, I start to do research and start the first “baby steps” in reaching my goal. Next is action where I am doing things to reach my goal often. Then maintenance making sure I don’t mess up while on my path to my goal. Finally, there is termination which is never looking back. I like this set up because we can use it towards anything not just this assignment. With my personal behavior change I first pre-contemplate thinking that I am fine and that I do not need anything, nothing is wrong. After that I contemplated noticing that change might be good but ill try to lose body fat later. Then I started to prepare by doing the writing assignments that this class has assigned and gaining knowledge and gaining motivation to start to work out. Then I hit the action stage where I acted and made working out to achieve my goal of losing body fat an everyday thing. Then maintenance making sure I stay on track by eating healthy and making my friends keep me motivated to going to the gym. There is number of key area identified in skill audit which meet leadership requirements. The outcome of skill audit has been reviewed by top management and construct personal development plan for individuals. Personal development goals are aligned with organizational goals and achievements of these goals reflect organization reputation and be successful.

My next step will be creating a list of possible goals, having done this will give me a clear idea of what I am working on and what steps I need

Spend some quiet time and put down precisely what the change or changes will be and why you want them, this is the first crucial step towards achieving goals. At this stage, write only what it is you'd like to achieve and why. The 'how's' and 'when's' can come later.

Achieving personal goals is a great way to develop skills and abilities. “It must be borne in mind that the tragedy in life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. It lies in not having a goal at all,” Benjamin E. Mays stated. So make sure you have a goal and complete your goal. Goals have to be achieved and not with someone if it’s a personal goal.
