Focused vision, guiding values, personal incentives, supporting resources, sound judgement, along with having an action plan are the six building blocks for making successful changes in life. It is almost always beneficial to have a plan when trying to accomplish something in life, and successful change is no different. Each step allows you to ensure that you are on the right path before progressing to the next. The first step is using clear vision; using focused vision allows us to avoid distraction; vision tells us whether or not we have a meaningful purpose in life and helps us direct the change while developing plans for success. Secondly, we have values, these guide us and show the path of right and wrong; without the use of guided values
In order to be successful, a company’s core values must work cohesively with its vision and mission statements. What is the first step to accomplishing a goal? Don’t you have to have a goal in order to accomplish it? Everyone deserves to have aspirations. In the past, people in power have tried to keep everyone beneath them by discouraging their aspirations for a better life. Richard Wright from the book Black Boy, John H. Johnson from the article Celebrating the Life and Legacy of John H. Johnson 1918-2005 and many other people listed in the article Whose Canon? The United States of America is still a relatively young nation though it has been through quite a lot in that short time. One main theme that I have observed through what I have learned over this course is that we almost seem to go through a reoccurring cycle. We seem cursed to repeat the past. Following the Civil War as we entered the industrial age there was a general distrust of “foreigners” and increasing nationalism. As stated in The Enduring Vision “All immigrant groups faced increasing hostility from white native-born Americans” and the anti-German attitude during World War I such as “Banning all German books” and “targeting American citizens suspected of pro-German or antiwar sentiments” (Boyer et al. p. 572). Along with that there

Failure can happen with or without a plan, but your confidence will increase when you have a plan set in place to achieve your goals. The very action of taking a predetermined step that has the potential to move you towards your goal will help remove the unknown and make you feel more confident.
As fair as it sounds, Instructor Rooker's policy is inherently arbitrary, unnecessarily hard for TAs to grade, and demonstrably inconsistent.
According to Stoltzfus (2005), there are five reasons why having a goal is important. It is important to have clarity of how Janet wants to achieve her goal, the power to set realistic goals that are reachable, the motivation to act of finishing the goals that she has set, to mandate the priorities and goals that Janet set and the action plan is the ability to move forward to reach and accomplish the goals that Janet has set.
