“Never stop fighting until you arrive at your destined place - that is, the unique you. Have an aim in life, continuously acquire knowledge, work hard, and have perseverance to realise the great life”- A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. The cowardice that suffocates people in this day and age prevents one from from proving their perseverance. Hard work and stick-to-itness seems to be in very short supply. Perseverance is the persistent effort to succeed presented by those in authority without conveying weakness. Success is personal achievement through hard work. A person’s success is his or her resolve “to do everything with twice as much enthusiasm” no matter the barriers that stand in the way (Cassian 15-16). An amatur film became a great success in that the participants knocked down their struggles and stuck to their original goal of producing a successful movie. An article written over that film “It Happened Here” states, “ Their perseverance paid off, as It Happened Here is one of the most compelling amateur films ever made” (It Happened Here 2). Even on a $20,000 budget, the persistent effort that was present within the movie-making process, was rewarded with a major outcome in the end. Along with business, relationships also require a significant amount of perseverance. Allison and Clint have been married for 16 years and going on 17. They are just like everyone else with arguments and fights at points in their relationship, but what sets them apart from other couples, is their willingness to push through hardships “for better and for worse.” Their fight could be as big as Mt. Everest, yet somehow they always find a way to climb it together. Many people take the wedding vow “in sickness and in health” too lightly. They think it’s just, you know, one of things that you say at weddings. However, Ana’s family would disagree. Attack, an American war film, tells the tail of “...both a superior German force and the incompetence of their own American leader, the cowardly Capt. Erskine Cooney” (Attack 2). The captain did not help anyone by turning away from Germany. Especially when it comes to fighting for what one believes in, their passion should block out any fear or any dought that may try to creep into their head. The film, “ was considered groundbreaking for its exploration of cowardice and nepotism in the U.S. military” (Attack! 1). The significant amount of pusillanimity displayed by the captain was bad news for his men. No person wants to be under the charge of a Captain who doesn't have the courage to be a true and bold leader. Overall, perseverance will get people's trust and loyalty while weakness and turning away from problems
