One of my responsibilities as the Chief Operating Officer of Perfect Pita restaurants is to facilitate yearly check-ups on all of our locations. As you know, Perfect Pita makes fresh and healthy pita sandwiches for hungry customers who want efficient service. As I was speaking to the manager of our Times Square, New York store, I realized the store foot traffic was drastically increasing but it seemed as if revenue on sales was only slightly increasing. Since spring is coming shortly and the weather continues to get warmer, more people start to go out for lunch to get fresh air and leave the office. This is a prime location being in the heart of NYC and we need to ensure our customer satisfaction is at its best. In my discussion with our store …show more content…
We need these machines to be quick so more customers will stay in line and business will start to increase again. Chris Davis, one of our full-time employees, totally agrees that the steamers are too slow and is very supportive of the idea of getting new machines. A former employee, Dan Morris, also emailed me saying how overwhelmed he was during work due to the stress of the extremely long lines. There is obviously a huge problem here and I am determined to solve it. My analysis shows 80% of our customer complaints are due to waiting in line too long and not to the quality of the food. We have a great opportunity to turn this problem …show more content…
For example, Quick China is a Chinese food restaurant that has a similar concept to us. Their problem is that their food wasn’t being cooked quick enough. They decided to buy a quicker steamer for their meats and rice and now are seeing massive sale increases. In fact, the Wall Street Journal recently stated that, “Companies who are replacing their old machinery for more efficient and productive machinery have noticed a 35% increase in sales over the past nine months”. The addition of new machinery and increase in sales will contribute to the overall success of our
In 1787, our founding fathers sat down to write, what came to be the longest surviving written charter of government, the constitution. Some might argue the constitution was flawless; however it did leave the issue of slavery to be unattended and unresolved until 1820. As tensions rose between the pro-slavery and anti-slavery states, compromises such as the, Missouri Compromise, Compromise of 1850, and the Kansas-Nebraska Act only temporarily settled debates that would eventually send the United States tumbling into Civil War.
However, if not properly researched first and planned out effectively, it could be a major setback, that is time consuming, costly and generate minor revenue in the beginning. The financial statements will show any initial negative impact and low operating efficiency. For this new adventure, will come, all new, tools, parts and equipment that will have to come from already made revenue, established employees will have to be trained on how to use this new products. Additional time will have to be allocated into process and procedures, as this will be necessary and expected, also “Additional time will be necessary to complete services, and it is highly likely bottlenecks will occur within the operations”. (Talluri, Kim, and Schoenherr, 2013).
What is the greatest invention? Many think of the printing press, the wheel, or the telegraph, but most do not immediately consider sliced bread; yet, it is the invention to which all others are compared. Without it, the phrase “the best thing since sliced bread” would not exist. Sliced bread had a greater effect on the world than most realize. For example, the toaster was invented two years before sliced bread, but after the invention, the sales of the toaster soared (“Fascinating Facts”). Sliced bread shaped our perspective of food and convenience in America. Additionally, the way in which bread was sliced differentiated individuals: thinner for women and children and thicker for workers and men. The bread slicer contributed to the
I want to address social inequalities in communities where access to fresh foods, and opportunities for civic engagement are limited. I would like to provide opportunities for children engage in local projects concerning their community. In addition I want to develop a program where teachers and mentors can come and share resources with each other through community interaction spaces. I am hoping to integrate a one of a kind place where community residents and local artists, begin enriching through teaching and providing a safe space where restorative action and leadership development can be nurtured. In a recent report published by the Bread Project in 2015, hunger rise has reached significant levels in communities of color and single parent
For this discussion I chose to focus on chapter 2: mental health problems in prison. I made this decision mainly because this is a topic that also influences inmates behavior on the outside, and significantly contributes to the choices they make which can inevitably land them behind bars. I also believe that mental illnesses can easily develop while an offender is serving time, even if they have no history of being affected. Mental illnesses involve trouble coping with highly stressful situations (very common in a jail or prison environment) and life in general. "Such difficulties often manifest themselves in terms of low self-esteem, self-neglect, alienation, and social isolation".
It was the day of the big game, and everyone was taking treats to school. My daughter decided to make banana bread. Although my recipe contained nuts, we decided to leave them out since some students in my daughter’s class were allergic to nuts. We made three kinds of banana bread, one with nuts, one with raisins, and one that was plain. The banana bread was a big

Most Americans when they walk into a restaurant or fast food place will immediately notice the ambiance of the place. If the ambiance is not welcoming or new, a lot of people would choose to just go someplace else. The visual appeal of a restaurant or any food place is huge to our desire to eat at that certain place. Einstein’s Bagels has hundreds of locations across the U.S. and some of those locations are in need to a renovation. Renovations to some stores that are in need of a renovation would bring in a lot of business and even more returning customers.
I believe our class and student in general have enjoyed the reading For Bread Alone because compare to the other reading the author was not only dealing with the effect of his country being oppressed and his own personal oppression. I said compare to Chourki, the other authors problem seem to be " just another rich persons problems." I didn't mean that in an offensive way I meant their circumstance and oppression was softened because they were from a higher level on society.
College students love breakfast burritos. Many actually live off of them. A good breakfast burrito provides you with the fuel needed to face the day ahead including some protein and healthy carbs all in one portable wrap. This version in particular is very hearty. Crispy potatoes and scrambled eggs in a whole wheat tortilla with a little cheddar cheese creates a breakfast that you will want to eat every single day. Here’s what you need to make it.
I was so tensed when my mom tried me and my grandpa’s homemade zucchini bread.
I’m from the stage that feels like home. The wear and tear of the shoes is the admantian it takes to get there. The clutching of our hands before you go on stage prepares you to take flight into a mission you thought would be too tough. The achievement is just another reason to try harder, to stay on top. When you collapse you are never afraid to get back up and start over. Sometimes failing is the only way to thrive!
External forces are the main elements to initiate change in an organization. By buying new machinery only one part of the problem was addressed, and the expected results were not achieved. A structured manner would have to be adopted;
“Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction” One of the world’s leading psychoanalysts, Erich Fromm, explains that people’s greed will lead them to do almost anything to get what they want but in the end it will never completely reach their gratification. His words are parallel to the theme of William Shakespeare's well known tragedy Macbeth. In this play, Shakespeare demonstrates what can happen to a person with high ambition and greed. First, Macbeth is identified with his tragic flaw of greed, even though he is presented as a loyal, noble and heroic character. Subsequently, concurrence with his goals of obtaining the throne, he commits immoral acts that lead to his death. Ultimately, Macbeth’s honor as he is about to face his death evokes sympathy from the audience. Therefore, by the definition of a tragic hero, Macbeth fits the criteria of having a tragic flaw, commits actions that lead to a downfall, and elicits sympathy from the audience.
It is accepted that technology is improving with high speed, products features are increasing and cost is decreasing but current industry is itself is improving quality of its products. It feels no fear of substitute of current products. When any new feature is added in current products, customers tend towards new one but it does not effect on industry.
