While there has been many jobs that I have looked into, the job that stands out to me the most is a Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant. I feel like this job could be a great fit for me because being able to work with children and help them succeed at life would be very rewarding and fulfilling. A pediatric PTA is a person who is a Physical Therapist Assistant that works under the Physical Therapist. They makeup treatment plans for the patience and they usually work with children and their families to better understand how the child will learn how to deal with their disabilities. You could also connect a PTA to the Business, Marketing and Management cluster because if you start your own business then you would have to deal with all the marketing and the finances. I feel like this job would be a very fulfilling job for me because I love helping people and I enjoy seeing children and their families succeed. This job ties back to my assessments because my top career was heath science and personal care services. Being a pediatric PTA would be in the health science cluster and would also be in the personal care services because you are helping people out, but also you are learning about the human body and how to work with people on a personal level.
To become a pediatric PTA you can start off taking courses in high school such as, anatomy and physiology. You can enter in this career by first graduating high school then getting your associate's degree from a physical therapist program. You also must be certified to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. You will probably have to start out just doing physical therapy then get further education to be a pediatric PTA. The length of college is usually about 2 years and will have on the job training.
