The beginning of my week started out with a very stressful situation that led me to an obstacle that I would have to overcome. The weather was miserable and that intensified how I felt. It was windy and pouring rain as I drove to the veterinarian's office in a panic. The problem was that our puppy suddenly became ill with virus like symptoms and appeared to be dying. I knew what the culprit was and have seen how horrible canine parvo virus can be. My next few decisions would reveal the puppies fate.
I am fortunate to be able to dedicate all of my time to my family and do not have a job at this time. My job is focusing on school and taking care of my children. I also take care of everything that my children are not able to take care.

Drop-In tutoring has different subjects to get help with and they done with actual live tutors. The live drop in tutoring subjects are mainly math related. I think that is really neat to be offered this resource. Scheduled tutoring offers help with more subjects. These sessions are scheduled with a certain time frame and also done with a live tutor. Offline questions can be left for a tutor to respond to within 24 hours. Writing practice is a less formal way to submit a writing and get it reviewed very quickly. There is even an iOS and Android app to access the Smarthinking website. This is a very helpful website that we have access to. I am very excited to be able to use it for our essays. It seems that we will have a teacher right in front of us that we can turn in for it to be graded but it does not actually get graded until we turn our work into the Bethel Online website. I love that we can use this to improve our writing and clearly get to see what we have done wrong. This will help us to learn. I am definitely going to be using the Grammar and Documentation Review in the Essay Center. It is a relief to know I will have help with writing essays and it will make me become a better writer and
I fluttered my eyes open. Today would be a new day full of opportunities and chances to make it a great, what could go wrong. Then I remembered. I remembered what would happen that day. I had a hard time getting to sleep that night. Tossing, and turning with thoughts whipping and circling through my head.I drew a stiff bre My eyes filled with tears, and my body jerked with anger. Why? Why today? I thought. I threw my head into my pillows and stayed there for what I thought was forever.
Life is unpredictable, and through trial and error humanity learns how to respond to conflicts and learns how to benefit from mistakes. Reverend Arthur Dimmesdale from Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter is a character who changes and gains knowledge from the trials he faces, but first he has to go through physical, spiritual, and emotional agony. In the midst of all the havoc, the young theologian is contaminated with evil but fortunately his character develops from fragile to powerful, and the transformation Dimmesdale undergoes contributes to the plot’s climax.

On top of being hardworking in school, I am also hardworking outside of school. I’m not old enough to get a job working at an actual business, but, I still do work. I help my mom and dad when they have a job with Homestead Properties Restoration. We clean up foreclosed houses so that they can
The journey of 11-4-16 was long day. I wish that today was better because i would actually pay attention in my classes! But i was focused on other things. To make things worst i was craving chocolate because it was that time of the
University Writing Center (UWC) and Academic Success Center (ASC) are two of the university facilities that help students enrich their academic experience. While UWC assists students in improving their written and oral communication skills through one to one consulting sessions, online resources, and workshops, ASC works to enhance students’ intellectual performance through academic coaching, supplemental instruction, drop-in tutoring sessions, and peer mentoring. Both of the organizations take a collaborative learning approach to encourage students to develop necessary study skills for academic success and increase student retention. ASC offers various student development programs; however, our focus for this proposal will be on drop-in tutoring services offered by ASC.
I’m pretty sure that once in your life you have heard the word or term “Parvovirus”, or in its shortened form, “Parvo”. Likely, if you have heard of this word you know it isn’t a great one. Canine Parvovirus is a severe life threatening virus, hence the name, found in dogs of nearly any size and usually found in dogs 6 months or younger. The Parvovirus attacks blood cells and sharply affects the intestines. In 1967 the parvovirus was discovered and given the name CPV-1 and at the later period of 1978 a new kind of Parvovirus was discovered and called CPV-2. CPV-2 is the main form of the Parvovirus that is still seen today. Other varying animals that Parvo is found in are coyotes, foxes, and wolves. In this essay I will discuss how Parvo is contracted, the symptoms of Parvo, how you the owner can help your dog if symptoms are shown, how to avoid your dog contracting the Parvovirus, and how it is treated.
This week started off pretty slow. Monday I had the opportunity to go on a home visit to a foster home. This has been one of the most interesting visit of all. I went out with Faith, a Family Specialist. This therapeutic foster home housed 3 special needs children. The oldest girl has a diagnosis of Asperger and the youngest children, a girl and boy, have a diagnosis of Autism. They are awesome kids and they have been blessed with delightful foster parents. I just get good vibes whenever I interact with this family.
I walked outside the next morning feeling great. The bright vibrant sun shone on the freshly mowed grass. I loaded into my sister's car and we went off to school. The day passed extremely rapid,
As the week came to an end, I thought of all the wondrous adventures that I had experienced such as: spending time with the locals; roaming the marketplaces; sailing across the elevated zip lines; and sharing the abundant love of God. I also thought of how blessed I was to have a home, food, water, and a family that loves me. At that
It was a bright and warm summer morning when I woke from a good night sleep. Nothing prepared me for the dark, gloomy and sad day ahead of me. You see, this was the day that my cousin and childhood best friend passed away in an auto accident.
Tears poured down my face like I was in a rain forest, hugged my mom tightly as if she was a cuddly stuffed animal and I prayed, prayed like I’ve never prayed before. Not really knowing what was going on or what was going to happen. My sister arrived home, followed by my dad shortly after. While we waited to hear back from the hospital, we sat on the couch in the living room bawling our eyes out probably. Don’t worry, I will tell you about what is going on.
When I first started this course I didn’t know what to expect. I really enjoyed writing but there was a lot of areas that I needed to work on. When I first started to review the modules I was blown away by all the helpful sites that were at my disposition. The Power points and different sites completely changed my whole perspective of writing to a whole new dimension. Thanks to the modules I am more confident right now before I even begin an essay. I remember in the past how beginning an essay was so difficult for me because I didn’t know how to even start. In this course I have learned how to begin an essay, how to manipulate information, and how to use in-text documentation properly. These are just some of the few things that I will definitely be taking with me in the future for my courses and personal growth.
My life has been a crazy roller coaster with many events that have affected my life all in different ways. There have been times where my life has been at its highest peak in the world then it falls down, right into a deep valley. From the time my lovable younger sister came into my life to when my grandpa had a near death experience, I have learned many valuable lessons through the rough times as well as the more happy times. When I was a young girl, my mom had always told me the same thing over and over again. I never really thought about how a few words would have a deep effect on me in a short amount of time.
