These drugs may have some medical uses that may treat diseases or elevate moods, however there are some drugs that are used recreationally that also elevate moods but do not offer any medical usage. For other living beings, they are used for self-defense against other predators and these chemicals that inject can also alter the state of mind and even death.

What I have learned throughout units 11-21 is how to help motivate myself through positive self-talk. When it comes to self-talk, it helps to know that I need to focus on what is being said to me and change that to show positive reinforcement. What these units describe as positive self-talk is that I need to help the subconscious reaffirm that I am someone that is worthy of good thoughts, feelings, and actions.
This week I learned about philosophers from around the world: Wang Yangming, Kwasi Wiredu, and Voltaire. The most interesting part, in my opinion, was Wang’s philosophy of “unity of knowledge and action”.

Everybody has a mountain to overcome and it's your choice whether you stay stuck in the valley or rise to the peak. An in my life I've had a mountain that not only I have overcome but, learned valuable lessons along the way. The crux of my struggle was the splitting of my parents which put me through some emotional instability. This, in hindsight, was the best for me as well as my parents but being young and selfish I seen it as my world splitting in half.
