Hallmarks of the movement – tree-canopied streets, signature parks and waterfront homes – are still reflected in residential Orlando, as well as in nearby suburban communities located north, south, east and west of town. They feature premier homes and magnificent golf and lakefront estates that have beautiful natural scenery as a backdrop.
The Orlando area surprises many people – pleasantly so – with its bevy of options for enjoying the great outdoors and the vibrant presence of lakes and parks. Downtown Orlando has Lake Eola Park as a sparkling showpiece, complete with swans and an iconic cascading fountain. The park is in the middle of downtown, so nine-to-fivers can break away for lunch in the shade. Notably Florida is known for having many glamorous Theme Parks. Fort Myers is positioned just three hours south from all the big Parks. It doesn’t have all the traffic of living in a congested city like Orlando, but is close enough to be able to leave your house at five or six in the morning and arrive at Universal studios as it is opening. The closest Theme park to Fort Myers is Busch Gardens. This park is literally a giant zoo with roller coasters. There’s Tigers, Cheetahs, giraffes and many more exotic animals here. It’s no doubt that creating a family oriented theme park based on popular, beloved cartoon characters and imagination was a good idea.
