Walt Disney was a very influential man to the entertainment industry. He made animation a whole new type of entertainment. Although Walt went through many struggles and problems, he pushed on and eventually saw results for all his hard work. Many hardships got in Disney’s way such as unsupportive parents and even bankruptcy; Walt pushed on through, always creating, working hard, and persevering to accomplish his dream.

One major film that was created was Mickey Mouse; however, Disney often reminded us what actually inspired him by saying,“I only hope that we don’t lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse.” Disney has had plenty of accomplishments during his lifetime, and made a major difference in people’s lives, even in this present time. He was an American entrepreneur, animator, voice actor and film producer, he could do it all. Famous for cartoon films and the creator of Disneyland. He made this show for laughter, because he believed that “laughter is America’s most important export.”

He also writes for both the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times. He is married and lives in Amagansett, New York. This book is a very good choice because it enlightens the reader about one of the most popular cartoonist of all time. Although everyone is familiar with his work, not many are familiar with the life he had before and after his cartoons became famous. It is really interesting to make the connections between the man and his work because after reading this book, the reader gets a deeper understanding of Disney which leads to a better comprehension of his creations and what made them so revolutionary.
