Odysseus: A True Leader In Homer's The Odyssey

Vanquishing enemies. Laser visions. Leaping tall buildings. Even though odysseus in Homer's epic The Odyssey has none of these abilities to the Greeks he exhibits heroic characteristic. Odysseus has strengths, weaknesses, and behavior flaws. Odysseus shows how to be a true leader. Odysseus members obey him to show how good of a leader he is. Homer said that his crew “delivered me from my restraint.” Homers crew members show that he was a good leader by showing respect. They also respect everything he does as if he respects them. One of Homer's weaknesses is selfishness. Odysseus puts his crew into jeopardy just to hear the sirens. As said in the text “me only she permits those strains to hear.” Good leaders should not put their followers
