But if this sight doesn't gross you out it may be a good choice for you because the pay isn't half bad, how would it be to get 256,635 a year for delivering little miracles(Learn). But being an OBGYN isn’t always fun and exciting considering there is blood and depending on the circumstances there could be lots of it. There is also the whole process of the afterbirth or the delivery of the placenta, which does involve blood, lots of blood. Believe it or not there are people who like to prepare and eat their placenta for medicinal uses. So having a strong stomach is useful The only problem you would encounter with smell would be, when in labor some women poop while in the process of pushing out the baby, and this is caused from the muscles because the muscles being used to deliver the baby are the same muscles you use to poop. You won’t have any problems with taste unless hospital food makes you gag. Sound shouldn't be too much of an issue except the loud screams of pain coming from mothers in labor. The sense you will use the most is touch birthing a baby is a very handsy job. Everything from pulling out the baby, cutting the cord, delivering the placenta, and cleaning up the baby. These all require your hands and steady hands are best, also why hygiene in a hospital is very strict. Being in this field of medicine is very hard work
In college, a student must study courses to prepare for medicine, such as biology, chemistry, and some advanced mathematics (“Becoming A Doctor” 1). The first four years, the student would take pre-medical courses while earning their Bachelor’s degree and taking courses that are required for their degree plan. Then the college graduate will advance into medical school, where for four years the student learns about the area of medicine they choose (“Becoming A Doctor” 1). It generally takes seven to eight years to finish a medical doctor’s education (“Becoming A Doctor” 1). After medical school, the graduate will apply for an internship that would last about one year. Then after the internship, they become a resident and practice medicine under the supervision of a senior doctor (“Becoming A Doctor” 1). Altogether, it is about 11 years before one actually becomes an independent doctor (“Becoming A Doctor”
A diagnostic medical sonographer who specializes in obstetric sonography is able to capture the images of a fetus inside the mother’s uterus. This type of sonography is used to monitor the growth and development of the fetus as well as its health. Imagine seeing a parent’s joyful expression towards one another when they hear the sound of their baby’s heartbeat for the first time. Or to witness their smiles from ear to ear when they get to see their baby move and wiggle about inside the mother over the ultrasound screen. This special moment is something that an obstetric sonographer has the pleasure of witnessing every day.
You are advised to enroll in a pre-med program while earning your bachelor’s degree. After you get your degree, you will need to graduate from a 4 year medical school. After you have graduated you will need to enroll in a 5 year residency program as the last requires step. After all of the training and schooling, you will need to become licensed by your state to practice orthopedic
Sonography has many good and bad disadvantages. One of the advantages this career has is that you will be looking at baby’s. You will be the first person to tell any mother what the baby will be a girl or boy. You will bring joy to both parents mom and dad just by saying “It’s a Girl” or “Its a boy”. Another advantage is that you will be in touch with you patients you will have to listen to what they have to tell you. What i’m actually saying about this is that many of your patients will get emotional and you will have to be there to support them. Just as there is advantages there is also disadvantages. One of the disadvantages is that you may have to work over time you will be standing up 98% of the time. You might also have to work night shifts depending on what hospital you actually get a job at. but in my opinion i feel like being a sonographer is amazing.
Matthew Brennan from he Health and Pregnancy Center of WebMD says, “Pediatricians are physicians who specialize in the growth and development of babies, children, and adolescents” (WebMD). Pediatricians are responsible for assuring concerned parents that their precious child is on the correct track for a long and healthy life. While researching more on the tasks of these doctors, I found that they mainly examine the child before coming up with a diagnosis. A typical examine consists of checking their ears, reflexes, throat, etc. I had also learned that pediatricians are the first to examine a baby who is just born. They must be sure the new baby is breathing and responding correctly (WebMD).
The OB-GYN in this photo must work well under “the lights”. She must have a steady hand and be knowledgeable of all the surgical instruments in which to ask the scrub tech for. The physician must be prepared at all times for medical emergencies to occur and to be able to think fast on their feet. The physician did just that. She performed the c-section very delicately in order to deliver a beautiful baby

A gynecologist has the ability to take eggs from a female, and fertilize their eggs in a dish, then inserted back into the female (Bonnie 45). An obstetric has many days when he/she doesn’t have any time to sleep. Patients are your biggest priority, he/she could be asleep and if their patient goes into labor they must help them. Helping giving birth to a mother is not easy, guiding her through labor is the biggest issue. As just a gynecologist, they typically work in their own office or clinics with a small staff behind him/her. Either way both obstetric and gynecologist work full times, including overnight. Depending where their patients are they may travel (Powell). Gynecologist also have the power to investigate why a woman cannot have a bay. Research says most women cannot become pregnant because of clogged fallopian tubes, or sometimes hormonal imbalance within the body, this will prevent eggs from the ability to develop (Powell). As we move more into the future
All together I would need four years of undergraduate in pre-medicine, four years of medical school, a one year internship and three years of a residency program to be a certified anesthesiologist. The people who are affected by unrealistic body images deserve to have relief from these unfair ideologies being forced upon them. Social media and society in general need to stop being over expectant of how people should look and what size they are. The people who struggles with self image do not deserve to feel so negatively, and other people shouldn’t force those ideas on them. Although campaigns have started to promote self love and respect there are still millions of individuals who struggle with self image. It is completely unfair to expect people to look a certain way, especially when those people look perfect the way they are.
