Obstetrics and Gynaecology OBGYN is a term not well know to most people that means obstetrics and gynaecology. This is the doctor to visit for female reproduction and baby care. Step two is passing the MCAT (or medical college admissions test). This is the test you have to pass to get into medical school. You're tested on biology, chemistry, and physics, along with a portion of reading and writing skills. Step three is graduating from medical school. You need to complete a four year medical school program. You can take classes specifically based around obstetrics and gynaecology where you can get hands on learning in the field. Step four is completing a medical residency at a hospital, which despite assumption is not an internship. A medical residency can last between three and seven years, whereas an internship can last about two to five years. You also get paid in a medical residency whereas an internship is volunteer work. Finally step five is to get your licence, no, not your driver's license, but your state license to ensure you are credible, give you some ethos. To get your license you have to pass the USMLE (or United States Medical Licensing Examination), and hurray you are now an official OBGYN. But being an OBGYN isn’t always fun and exciting considering there is blood and depending on the circumstances there could be lots of it. There is also the whole process of the afterbirth or the delivery of the placenta, which does involve blood, lots of blood. Believe it or not there are people who like to prepare and eat their placenta for medicinal uses. So having a strong stomach is useful The only problem you would encounter with smell would be, when in labor some women poop while in the process of pushing out the baby, and this is caused from the muscles because the muscles being used to deliver the baby are the same muscles you use to poop.You won’t have any problems with taste unless hospital food makes you gag. Sound shouldn't be too much of an issue except the loud screams of pain coming from mothers in labor. The sense you will use the most is touch birthing a baby is a very handsy job. Everything from pulling out the baby, cutting the cord, delivering the placenta, and cleaning up the baby. These all require your hands and steady hands are best, also why hygiene in a hospital is very strict. Being in this field of medicine is very hard work
