Exposure to infection
Infection-The invasion and multiplication of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and parasites that are not normally present within the body.
An infection may cause no symptoms and be subclinical, or it may cause symptoms and be clinically apparent. An infection may remain localized, or it may spread through the blood or lymphatic vessels to become systemic (bodywide). Microorganisms that live naturally in the body are not considered infections. For example, bacteria that normally live within the mouth and intestine are not infections.
Being in a health and social care setting means that there are many opportunities to be exposed to infection. For example MRA (Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus) and hazardous

Your priority is the safety of yourself and the safety of the other residents. In settings where aggressive behaviour occures frequently, staff are trained in restraint techniques, which allows them to control the person without hurting them. You may witness this, if you see this you are not be expected to participate.
Some signs that a person behaviour may become aggressive are, the person becoming tense and agitated, raise his/her voice to a high pitch and speak loudly, reply to questions abruptly, show signs of muscular tension in the face and limbs and his/her pupils may become dilated, close his/her hands in fists, bang his/her fist into his/her palm on the desk, resist eye contact, and invade your personal space by leaning forward. If you are to find yourself ion this situation , you need to call for help and leave the area straight away. If uable to leave stand as far away as possible. Talk in a calm voice and slow the pace of the conversation

You should: • Collect the things you need for evacuation and if safe to do so turn off the gas, electricity and water supplies. • Stay in a high place with a means of escape if it becomes nescary to do so, avoid electricity sources such as plug socets and avoid walking or driving through flood water
Evacuation of a residential care setting
Residents will be taken to an evacuation centre run by the local council. Staff should take spare clothes but essentionals such as food, drink and bedding will be provided, essential things such as medication and care items such as feeder beakers and baby bottles should also be taken if possible.
Your priority in a flood situation is to keep yourself safe, but if it is possible for you to help evacute others thats have been effected by the flood safley then you should do so. The flood water may lead to the area being contaminated with sewage, so care must be taken to avoid swallowing water and careful hand washing will be needed before eating.

I would also go around and make sure there are no holes where unnecessarily large amounts of water would be able to enter the building By preparing in advance, I will only have to close my restaurant a few days before evacuation and still have enough time to finish the reinforcement. I would also purchase a generator to have in case there is a loss of power, which could mean a loss of hundreds of dollars’ worth of food. I do not have enough insurance to cover everything if it all is destroyed, so I will take the items that I am able to take out of the restaurant and warehouse with me when I evacuate. Thunderstorms are another large problem in the fall and spring. To help with this, I would also use many of the items I have for other disasters. I would have the generator ready to help in case there is a loss of power. I would also have heavy shutters on the windows to add protection in case of heavy winds or falling items during the thunderstorms, or also for protection against heavy winds that may occur in the spring. Know where all of your main utility shut-off’s are. There are probably two places to shut-off all the water into the house, one is at the main water meter located in the yard near the curb and at the house either on the exterior wall or at an interior location. The main gas shut-off can be found at the gas meter. The main electrical shut-off is normally at the main breaker box. It is not normally necessary to shut off any of your utilities prior to a hurricane, although you may want to turn off all of the utilities if you are evacuating. If you do turn off utilities don’t forget to turn off gas/electric to the water heater.
Infection is when foreign bodies such as bacteria, fungi and parasites invade your body these germs can cause disease and can even lead to amputation or even death in the host body. An infection may cause no symptoms or it may cause symptoms where you become really symptomatic and be hospitalized.
Another area that someone in this situation would need to do regularly is signaling for rescue or other possible survivors. “For best results when signaling for help, select a signal site close to your shelter with good visibility such as a clearing, hilltop or a lakeshore.” (Signaling for Help 1) After deciding on the place to signal from the person surviving would then need to decide on the best way to signal. Three of
Another important consideration is to make sure that you have enough medical supplies, both prescription and over-the-counter, and a first aid kit before the storm makes landfall. This includes medication like OTC pain relievers, bandages and wraps, and important
What are the key issues associated with floods? Floodwaters carry diverse types of contaminants such as oil, pesticides, bacteria and heavy metals that are dangerous to an individual’s health. Safety concerns associated to wet electrical and mechanical systems, exposure to asbestos as well as lead from building materials and mold growth should be addressed. Mold is a serious health hazard if the building is reoccupied without proper water removal or cleaning. San Francisco residents are lucky that Dryfast General Contractors provide personal safety from health risks posed by flooded buildings, and provide protection from electrical shock and mold contamination.
The best way to prevent severe damage or even loss of life is to always have an emergency plan. Whatever type of storm is coming your way, it is always tremendously safe to have an emergency plan. Basic emergency plans
Here comes the number one question for everyone. How ready are you ready? Know your disaster seasons! Anywhere you live in the world there is some form of disaster. It might not affect you or your family, but there are lives that had been lost because people do not follow the proper steps from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). To tell you the truth, I am one of them. Ever since I moved from New York to reside in Florida, I was told that my area is a no flood zone. Florida landscape is almost as flat as a pancake and is below sea level. As I scroll through the list of things that I needed in case there is a natural disaster, to tell you the truth I am not even close. So, far my area had not been touched since I moved from New York to Florida 10 years ago. However, hurricanes and storms are not new to me.
People impacted by the floods are 5.3 times more likely to experience worse overall health and 2.3 times more likely to experience worse respiratory health.
An infection can happen when an agent contains a disease, causing the agent to multiply itself within its victim’s body. It will react and affect the tissues of the organism. The toxins released within the tissues can lead to an infectious
First and foremost step, the survivor must decide if their family needs to prepare where they are, or attempt evacuation. The nature of the threat, their prior preparations, and their confidence in their sources of information should direct their decision.
• A place for the germ to live - person, animal, plant, food, soil or water.
Infection is the incursion of a microorganism to a cell or a body to cause harm or disable the body from functioning properly. Infectious diseases are disorders from microorganisms such as bacteria and pathogens that can be harmful to the human health that can be passed from one person to another through

As well as that they should try to find a place that is safe; supplies such as bottled water and canned food should be easy to reach. Communication systems can be affected so most will set up plans for contacting friends and family.
