Lack of supply and inadequate staffing might result in additional extraneous variables in the study which can be barriers to the results of the study and the EBP project. Support and cooperation from the CNO and head of central supply is necessary for a smooth transition of the EBP project. CHG wipes/products used will need to have a facility barcode that is readable by the scanner provided by Central Supply. It takes a team approach to manage patient-care. As a FNP, and a provider for this
Nurse practitioners are advanced practice registered nurses who have received special courses and training. They usually work closely with doctors and can perform many high-level primary care tasks. They often specialize in specific types of practice such as pediatrics, psychiatry, or obstetrics. Some establish private practices; however, most work in doctors' offices, hospitals, or neighborhood health centers. Their duties often include taking detailed medical histories and performing complete physical exams, providing diagnoses and recommending treatment plans, treating common medical conditions, illnesses, and injuries, prescribing limited medications, and counseling patients and families. They also care
Advanced Practice Nurses play an important role as innovators who can help shape school policies across the nation. APNs need to know how the school system works so they can contribute in formulating school policies aimed at keeping school children physically active. APNs need to collaborate with parents, school officials and the community to direct activities that have the greatest positive impact on school-aged

Relating to the identified issues for Philip, as a nurse, it is very crucial and essential to take effectual nursing interventions to treat the current health concerns. So, before implementing any action, it is mandatory for a team and me to specify when and what intervention I want. In Philip’s case, it is necessary to target his low blood pressure at first place. If the blood pressure remains low, this could lead to other complications. Currently, it is important to administer bolus of fluid (e.g. 0.9% normal saline). I want to improve his haemodynamic state i.e. want his BP within normal limit and urine output back to normal over the next hour. In order to take action on established goals; as nursing professional, I will make sure that patient is comfortable and I will also repeat observations such BP, HR.

The national league for nurses defines critical thinking in the nursing process as “a discipline specific, reflective reasoning process that guides a nurse in generating, implementing, and evaluating approaches for dealing with client care and professional concerns” (Kozier, 2008). This definition is imperative to help a nursing student learn how to think in terms of nursing care. Nursing students must achieve a comprehensive understanding of critical thinking in order to understand the nursing process. The purpose for this paper is for nursing students to learn how to use the nursing process, how to properly document their findings and assessments, and correctly implement APA formatting in a formal paper.
The health care industry is experiencing a surge in the number of baby-boomers needing health care and increased demands on the physicians providing the care. This trend has made the role of Advanced practice providers more important (cite). It is imperative to understand the differences and similarities in the advanced practice provider roles as it pertains to healthcare. This paper will identify specialty nursing roles including advanced practice registered nurses (APRN). It will further compare and contrast the advanced practice nurse (APN) and physician assistant (PA) roles in practice.
Evidence-based practice (EBP) is at the epitome of our nursing profession. In situations such as working on a critical care unit, the use of EBP is not only necessary to ensure safe management and appropriate care of our patient's, but to also ensure the proper maintenance of life. Through examining the research available concerning the circulation aspect of the A-E assessment (i.e. Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Disability and Exposure); it has become apparent that there has been a significant amount of conflicting opinions presented since the late 1900's regarding the use of the Trendelenburg position for critically ill patients. It is for this reason, in regards to the increasing emphasis on the need for EBP in today's nursing profession,
I agree with you, sometimes I feel that those who are sitting in the offices, writing the staffing policies and coming up with those numbers in new nurse- patient ratio, should definitely come back a few weeks and work at bedside, that will totally change their mind.

The nursing profession has been around for a very long time. Through many changes and reforms, it has drastically evolved into the nursing profession we have today. Nurses have an important role within the healthcare industry in the treatment and medical care of the sick. These trusted healthcare professionals continue to make up the largest majority of the healthcare field, as well as the fastest growing occupation. Nursing is a job that allows people to not only care for the sick but also to experience, learn and further their interest in the human body. This course has definitely provided me an insight to the roots of the profession I would like to pursue. I think it is important to know the history of nursing to understand fully on the problems that are affecting the profession. I believe that we cannot effectively address important issues without a foundation of historical knowledge. In other words, by examining the nursing history, I will be able to appreciate my important role as a nurse in the healthcare system. The topics I will be including in my reflection are the works of Florence Nightingale, the affects of World War II, the challenges of Filipinos aspiring to be nurses, and excerpts in Chapter 10 of “A History of American Nursing.”
Although it is the nurse's responsibility to know and adhere to the nursing scope and standard of care in whichever setting he or she practices in (NSO, n.d.), it is also the duty of the clinic nurse manager to ensure that the nursing staff are knowledgeable in the applicable procedures concerning the management of the orthopedic patient. Therefore, providing nursing staff with additional education and training may be needed especially if the nurse is new to nursing or to orthopedic medicine. By providing additional education and training will ensure the orthopedic patient's clinical symptoms can be safely and appropriately handled ( NSO, n.d.). If sending your staff for training is not feasible, then I would want to provide them with EBP guidelines and algorithms that would help them with making decision; however, I would also stress to the staff that
