Le Dynasty was divided to south and north, Nguyen family run the south, and Trinh family run the north and they were fighting for the power. Ying Zheng is one of the most influential people in the history of china. The unification to subjugate of all states: Yan, Qi, Chu, Wei, Zhao and Han caused by Ying Zheng; who centralized the Chinese empire in 221 BC, is what now is called the Quin Dynasty. But with the influence of communism from surrounding countries mostly China at the time, that form of government became stronger in North Vietnam because of the strong presents. The leader/president of Vietnam, declared it an independent country and when this happened many didn’t agree with him and some still wanted to be ruled by the French. So a war between the leader Ho Chi Minh’s followers and the French began in 1946 and that war lasted for eight years; ending only because the French lost a very important battle. (History, 2009)
During the Tang Dynasty, the population base of the Chinese were roughly 80 million people, enabling them to rule over their surrounding countries. In this time, China extended north-east and south. They took over a large amount of Manchuria and Vietnam as well. Because the Tang Dynasty was so economically powerful, Japan, Tibet and Korea also decided to undergo their rule to maintain peace between the Asian Countries. Otherwise, Japan, Tibet and Korea may undergo war with China. During 1954 the Vietnamese government was struggling. The country needed a new leader so Ngo Dinh Diem filled that spot for them becoming the Prime Minister of South Vietnam. Reading about Nguyen Du, he was very loyal to the Le Dynasty as he and his family had benefited from them. Which is why he was unwilling to join the new government. So, inspired he wrote The Tale of Kieu, depicting his situation and his memory of the dynasty that had been lost. In this story Nguyen Du tells us by the fate of Kieu that the fate of human beings in the wicked feudal society along with its cruelties and injustice. He wanted to scream out loud, and break our hearts all at the same time. Kieu was a beautiful and talented woman, such one that should’ve lived a good life with happiness, but because she lived in this cruel, wicked and unjust society she got the exact opposite of that.
