The New Orleans Saints had a lousy 2014 to say the least. Sean Payton's team finished the season ranked the second worst defense in the league, allowing an average of 384 yards per game. On the other hand, the Saints were also ranked the best offense in the league, putting up 411.4 yards per game last season. Nonetheless, Drew Brees and company ended up having to watch the playoffs on TV, as they finished with a 7-9 record. So, why can New Orleans bounce back from 2014? Here are your answers: Number 1: Drew Brees There is no question that Brees is an elite quarterback. In a season to forget for the Saints, Brees still managed to lead the NFL in passing with a total of 4,952 aerial yards. And that is still not the impressive thing about his 2014 season. He was hurt while putting up those numbers. …show more content…
THEN I HAD SOMETHING DURING THE SEASON, TOO, THAT I WAS BATTLING," BREES SAID AFTER HIS PRESEASON GAME AGAINST THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS. Now Brees is 100 percent healthy and ready to go, as he proved against the Patriots, where the Saints' quarterback went 8-10 for 159 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Number two: Bandin Cooks In his second year in the NFL, Cooks has the chance to raise his stock even higher within the league. The 21-year-old had a solid rookie season, tallying 53 receptions for 550 yards and three scores. But now he is ready to help his team in any way possible. "WHEN IT COMES TO THIS OFFENSE AND AS A RECEIVER, I'M NOT ALWAYS THINKING OF GETTING THE BALL FIRST. WHATEVER I'VE GOTTA DO TO HELP US WIN, WHETHER IT INVOLVES ME OR NOT, I JUST WANNA WIN. AND THAT IS MY MINDSET." COOKS SAID AT TRAINING CAMP. The Saints' receiver was also praised by one of the game's ultimate masterminds recently. Patriots' head coach Bill Belichick told the Times-Picayune that he is glad his Patriots don't have to play Cooks twice a
Watson has thrown more touchdowns through six games than any rookie since the AFL-NFL merger, and the Texans have set a team record with four games in a row of at least 30 points with Watson starting. While he does that, the Browns continue their search for their quarterback.
In today’s games, the stats are not very impressive. The Bears current starting QB is Matt Berkley. Completing only 129 passes for 1611 yards is not an impressive feat in the NFL. He has only thrown 8 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. The leading receiver, Cameron Meredith, has 66 catches for 888 yards. He has fumbled the ball 3 times and lost the ball twice during those 3 fumbles. His
Which brings us to Big Ben Roethlisberger who has been in the public spotlight throughout his career for good and bad. Let’s start with the good. He did this despite his quarterback missing four games this season. If that hadn’t happened Brown would have shuddered the NFL’s reception and yardage record. Brown is the best skill player in the NFL and it’s not even close.
Running back: If the Bears do decide to have Rodgers under center, then they will have one of the most skilled ball carriers lined up behind him in Fulkerson. Coming off a 2014 season where he dislocated his patella and had knee surgery in January, Fulkerson is ready to put the past behind him and enjoy his senior season. He is a player that any offensive lineman would enjoy blocking for.
Another week, another outstanding game from the Patriots. They are clearly the best team in the NFL. I feel like I say it every week, but the Patriots have so much versatility on offense they are almost impossible to prepare for. Tom Brady is playing the best football of his career. He is making the quarterback position look easy each and every week. Brady is on pace for 46 touchdowns and over 5,500 yards.
Julian Edelman had 11 receptions for 97 yards, Rob Gronkowski had five receptions for 94 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Dion Lewis, who clearly looks like he is Shane Vereen's replacement, had four receptions for 51 yards, out of the backfield. Brady ended his night going 25 for 32 with 288 passing yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Now that is how you come out firing on all cylinders in the opening game against an opponent who is known for having a hard nose defense. At one point, Brady completed 19 consecutive passes, which was a franchise record for completions in a game, as he picked apart the Steelers defense piece by piece.
“I had a tough time handling the snap,” Grier said. “I looked up and there was a guy in my face. I knew the route concept I had and I looked out there and had some space and I threw it to where he could catch it or it was going to be incomplete. He made a

Every year you can count on his team to be high playoff seed and to make it the the AFC championship. Playing in the league for 17 seasons, and now he has taken his team to the AFC championship seven times. Not only has he made the playoffs but he has made it to the championship game. During his tenure with the Patriots he has never had an off year. Always throwing for more than 3,000 yards in a season, you can always rely on this star quarterback to get the job done. Not only has he been consistent with statistics but also with the pro bowl. With a total of eleven pro bowls over his career, and making it every year since 2009 that is definitely a high accomplishment while also maintaining his consistency. Having a player than can constantly put up the numbers and take his team to the playoffs is what any general manager dreams
To start off, Tom Brady has broken a lot of records. Some of his records include the most super bowl wins by a quarterback, most super bowl MVP selections, has won twenty five of the thirty four playoff games he has started in, has been selected to twelve pro bowls, and he has the most divisions won by a single quarterback (Doeden). For instance, he also has led the Patriots from a losing team to a winning team. With Tom Brady starting at quarterback the Patriots have never had a losing season (Doeden). In addition, he also has broken records for his stats. One of the records he broke was the best Touchdown to interception ratio of 28-2, because of this he wants to play until he is fourth eight (Reyes). At this years Super Bowl he had a great game. The Patriots overcame a twenty five point deficit and took the game to the first Super Bowl overtime game, he threw his first post season pick six ever after playing in thirty four playoff games, and in the last six possessions of the game he lead his team to four touchdowns and a field goal (Craig). After all, he did this all while his family was going through tough times. His mom was battling cancer and Brady dedicated the win to her (Hofforth). This is why Tom Brady is the best quarterback to ever live.
One of the team’s biggest strengths is their powerhouse offense. But the man under center is what makes that powerhouse offense run. That man is Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the league if not the best. His statistics are unbelievable. He has the highest quarterback rating in NFL history at 103.8, while the second closest is 98.9. He has thrown 300 touchdowns to only 74 interceptions. That being a 4:1 touchdown to interception ratio, also the best in NFL history. One of his most impressive streaks was his success at home. In 2015, he threw an interception at home. The last one he threw at home before that was in 2012. He went three years without throwing an interception at home. Truly a remarkable feat. In 2011, Aaron had one of the best seasons

I believe that Pocahontas felt empowered and embraced her role as Englishman wife. During the early stages of her life, I like to think that she might have felt forced into the culture she was a slave of, she was ultimately captured and imprisoned by the English. It wasn’t until some time later when she met John Rolfe, and slowly began to fall in love with him, while starting to adopt the English Christian culture. In 1616 she and her husband sailed back to England with their child, there she was given the name Lady Rebecca (her Christian name) that was sanctioned in the English court. It wasn’t only a year later that Lady Rebecca (Pocahontas) fell ill with European diseases and smallpox later to be pronounced dead. Pocahontas did not have
