Neil Gaiman's 'Fahrenheit 451'

Satisfactory Essays

I agree with the statement made by Neil Gaiman in the introduction to Fahrenheit 451 which states, “Fiction is a lie that tells us true things, over and over.” He states, “fiction is a lie” this is true because fictionial stories tell of events that did not reallt happen and a lie is a false statements. After this Gainman says, “that tells us true things over and over again” i also agree with this because there is truth in every lie and there is truth in every story. One of teh themes of Fahreheit 451 is that knowledge is power and that power is feuled by reading. The truth that is reapeated is that reading is important. Reading si important because reading gives us knowege and that knowledge allows us to graet things.
