In the beginning there was chaos and Orana, the goddess of the sun, was born. She is the ruler who formulated what is now known as the core of the earth. She gathered many stars and crushed them together to create a glowing rock-like sphere. Orana then decided to have the core revolve around her so she could watch her creation. While doing this she ran into Lunasta, god of the moon. Lunasta moved the moon to have it revolve around the core too. So instead Orana and Lunasta decided to put the sun and the moon right next to each other. After a while one of the stars pinched Lunasta and gave him the idea to have a child with the sun goddess and add onto the core. They had three children together; Tierrana goddess of the land, Aguanta god of …show more content…
Tierrana and Aguanta died after their final rebellion and this is how the earth was truly created. Lunasta was proud of how his wits outsmarted his children, making him the most powerful god. Orana did not like how her husband was trying to overpower her own children so she devised a plan of her own. Before Lunasta left her she had two more children with him, Cielon, god of the heavens and Infiernona, goddess of the underworld. This way she would put a barrier between the top and bottom portion of the earth, making sure her husband would never bother her children again. Not only did she make sure he could never see her children again, but she pierced one of his lungs. Piercing him reduced his size making him smaller and inferior to her, accentuating that Orana was the true Queen of gods. Cielon began ruling the heavens and sky while watching his older brother roam alone on Earth. Cielon felt bad for his older brother since his other two siblings were killed and he was separated from his new siblings. He decided the King of the Earth could use some worshippers. He worked diligently day and night, devising the perfect solution. He took some of the moisture that had floated up from earth and stole stardust from where his mother lived, to create his own daughter, Nubia. Nubia was named the goddess of the clouds and Cielon granted her the gift to float between the heavens and roam freely on the Earth. One
She went to live on earth and gave birth to Hunahpu and Xbalanque. The twins wanted to get revenge. They challenged the gods to a game and won. The brothers sacrificed themselves and the gods were amazed. The gods were defeated making one brother the sun and making one brother the moon, starting the beginning of time.
She created a man and a women they populated the world. The moon and the sun had yet to be created but it would soon be something that would come into creation. The land and water god and the life creating job then had a child. It was the moon and sun god.
In the beginning there was no time or gods, only land and sea. Where the sea meet the land a white mare burst forth from the sea foam, her name was Eiocha. Eiocha soon found some sea-foam seeds and ate them, soon they grew into a child in her, she gave birth to the god named Cernunnos. While she was giving birth her pain was so great that she ripped off a piece of bark that she catapulted into the sea, as it fell to the watery deeps of the sea it grew to deep-sea giants. As for poor lonely Cernunnos he felt that he was outnumbered for the great number of sea giants, he along with his horse-mother they created more gods, their names were Maponos, the God of Youth, Tauranis, the God of Thunder, Teutates, the Protector, and the fertility goddess, Epona. After Eiocha’s children grew into adults she became sad and depressed, while she longed for the sea she finally returned to her life as a sea-mare, and became known as Tethra, goddess of the deep. Soon the gods and goddesses created a paradise like land, while the deep-sea giants looked upon the gods with hatred they declared war upon the gods. After a great war and successfully making the giants return to the sea, the gods turned to the place they once called paradise. It was in ruin, as well as almost all humans were killed, all except for two that Epona had saved and they were charged with recreating the human
Then the woman stepped onto the land. She sprinkled dust into the air and created stars. Then she created the moon and sun.

Not only that but that when the chief’s daughter fell ill the Sky People dug up a tree and laid the girl next to the hole that remained. When they laid her next to the hole she fell through the hole where two swans caught her. Then they put her on The Great Turtle’s back and it counseled that she was a symbol of good fortune. The Great Turtle sent all the other animals to bring the Sky World tree back with earth covered roots. Many animals tried but failed, coming back to exhausted and died. Finally an elderly woman toad had just enough energy left to spit a mouthful of earth onto the back of The Great Turtle. The earth was magical therefore it grew and grew enough for the Sky woman to live on. The swans circled enough till it grew in to the land mass it is today. But it was dark so The Great Turtle called the animals to put a great light into the sky. A little turtle climbed into a black cloud collecting lightning as she went. She made a big bright ball called the sun and a smaller ball called the moon. Then The Great Turtle commanded the animals to make holes in the comers in the sky so the sun and moon could go down as one when up as they circled. The Sky woman gave birth to twins, one good called Tharonhiawagon, one evil called Tawiskaron. From her breasts grows the three sisters; corn, beans, and
1. According to Hesiod, in the beginning there were four primordial beings. Chaos was the first entity to exist, then came Earth (Gaea), Tartarus and Eros . Chaos produced two offspring, Erebus and Night who made love and bore Aether and Day . Earth then gave birth to her son Heaven who would later become her partner. Gaea then through parthenogenesis bore the Mountains and the Sea. Gaea then along with Heaven created the Oceans, Cyclopes and the deities known as the Titans . Heaven fearing for himself after hearing of a prophecy in which his own son would usurp his position among the Gods kept his offspring trapped in the womb of Gaea . This act made Gaea extremely angry and so in order to free her children she crafted a silver sickle, which
According to the ancient Aztec religion, it took the gods five tries to create the world. The first four attempts had failed because the gods were fighting among themselves. Each creator-god would take a turn being the sun in order for the world to function properly so that it would be habitable. The gods had a council and decided that Nanauatl, a lowly, humble god, would have to sacrifice himself to become the sun. But there was a major problem with this, he was not moving. It was then that the gods realized that they would also have to sacrifice themselves so the humans could live. The god Ehecatl sacrificed all the other gods and a strong wind arose to help move the sun. Once they fixed the sun, they recreated the world for the fifth time.
each other, but still agreed to make the biggest star in the void in the hopes that they would find more beings. They worked for lifetimes and created the Sun, but still nothing came
Egyptian Mythology’s creation started with Nu, the dark and swirling chaos before time. Eventually, Atum rose from Nu and created a hill for himself to stand on. He had one eye that would see everything, but was very lonely. Soon after, Atum brought Shu, the god of air, and Tefnut, the goddess of mist and moisture into life. They gave birth to Geb, the earth, and Nut, the sky. Nut would give birth to the sun every night before sunset so the sun would shine through the day, and die at night.
If you have ever used sarcasm then you may be an expert in satire. Satire is a way to insult people using wit. It is mockery; however, you have to be aware in order to appreciate the satire. Satire was very popular in Mid Evil Times. Geoffrey Chaucer used satire in his famous Canterbury Tales.
In the Hermopolis theory of creation, Thoth (the God of the moon, magic, and writing) had eight children. These eight deities were called the Ogdoad. These were four gods and their consorts- Nun and Naunet (representing water), Heh and Hauhet (representing eternity), Kuk and Kauket (representing darkness), and Amon and Amaunet (representing the concealed). It was the unbalance of these powers that sparked the energy that brought forth the mound of dirt (a benben), thus being the start of creation.
In the beginning, it all started with the gods and goddesses Cronus (God of the Sky) and Rhea (Goddess of the Earth). They met and got married. While they were married they produced six offspring. These offspring would turn out to be some of the most famous in mythology. The offspring consisted
