My initial reactions to the results of both tests were that both were a fair an accurate description of my management and leadership style and of my personality type. The results were consistent with results of taking the Meyers-Briggs several times in the past. In the past when taking this test I go between Sensing and Intuition. I believe that the results of both are consistent with how friends, peers, and subordinates view me.

I believe they were mostly accurate, especially the Meyers-Briggs type Indicator. I have always bene more quiet and reserved naturally. Others that do not know me do tend to see me as somewhat distant and aloof. I have learned to cope with this and took positive steps to combat this tendency. Before becoming a police officer, I took a job as a salesperson because I knew I would have to learn how to talk to people. While still naturally quiet and reserved, I can switch to more of an extrovert when the need arises. After researching further the traits of an ISTJ I found the decryptions to be very accurate. I have always had a strong sense of right and wrong, which led me to this career. I did think I would have been somewhat higher on the thinking scale. The personality-based assessment by TypeCoach determined my personality type to be ISTP, Introvert, Sensor, Thinker and Perceiver. A few of the traits of an ISTP consisted of the individual “living in the moment”, “Down to earth”, Logic driven”, “unflappable”, “level headed”, “realistic”, “private”, and “quiet”. The personality assessment described me pretty well with a percentage of 80. However, there were some aspects of the assessment I did not agree with wholeheartedly. I have taken the Myers-Briggs test many times over the years and the results are always in the ISTJ (Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, Judging) area. I am the epitome of the Dragnet's Sgt. Joe Friday character; who is credited with the phrase “Just the facts, ma’am.”
They suggest that measuring one’s characteristics such as sociability, drive, self-determination and demeanor can aid one to better interpret and discern them introspectively. By taking the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI) I am able to compare my personality traits to careers in which I may enjoy, will fit my individual personality and enable me to be successful say Drummond, Jones & Sheperis (2016). The results of my self-administered inventory are as follows; Introvert (I) 55%, Intuitive (N) 76%, Feeling (F) 86% and Perceiving (P) 67%. The four dimensions of the inventory seem to be very accurate for the manner in which I view myself. With the results of the Profile Scores, I do agree that it identified me accurately. My top three scores were conventional, investigative, and social. When someone is conventional, that person likes to follow set guidelines and routines. Also, they prefer working with information and paying attention to details instead of coming up with ideas. Investigative people like to search for facts or figure out problems. They like to think rather than doing physical work and typically work well with a leader. Lastly, people with social interest like to work with people more than working with objects or by themselves. They typically like to give advice, teach, or even be of service to people. Although I feel I do not completely identify with each score, I can attest that all three of these scores does identify me
According to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I am an ISTJ personality this means that I am an Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging person. ISTJ are very faithful, loyal and dependable. We are also reserved people who are interested in a secure and quiet life. ISTJ’s place importance in being honesty and can be trusted to do the right thing for their families and friends. There are some weaknesses to being an ISTJ personality we are stubborn, insensitive, and judgmental. This test is amazing it really nailed my personality.
Even though I believe the poster “The Navy Needs You” is the better poster out of the six, there might think that the “If I Fail He Dies” is better. The “If I Fail He Dies” poster has many colors and a good message. It is very persuasive in trying to get people to be nurses in the war. The poster has images of what it's is like in the war, as well as what it is like to help “Work For The Red Cross”.
During the power point on the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, as the instructor went through the different types of personalities, I was able to recognize which subcategories I fall into almost instantly. When my computer personality test results were returned, I was correct. As I read the type descriptions of Extroversion, Intuition, Feeling, and Judging- ENFJ- I quickly recognized myself within the descriptive words.

Both assessments were accurate in the description of my strengths and leadership style. The test results offered me tools to reinforce the strong aspects of my style without negative feedback. I will use the positive results of both assessments to align my job and goals with my natural talents. Sharing this plan with those around me will help me develop their strengths and lead to a more positive and productive environment (Rath, 2007).
The Myers and Briggs Analysis is a series of questions that when answered are examined and grouped together in order to determine the personalities of those taking this test. This particular test can result in sixteen different outcomes or types of personalities, which is determined by four different categories that judge if you are introverted or extroverted, use your senses or your intuition, your choice to think or use your feelings, and finally if you are judgmental or perceptive. These series of questions are designed to judge our personalities and help us to determine which career pathways we will be most suited for based on our personality traits and abilities to work well with others, which is important
For the trait questionnaire, I was very surprised at the findings. One trait that surprised me the most was the determination trait. I personally believe that I am a determined individual because if I have an idea, I stand by it 100%. My colleagues and my family however, thought differently and rated me neutrally for the most part. Other than that trait, I can see why the people I asked to rate me did so that way. I used the MMDI test which gives you similar result to the Myers-Briggs test. My results were ESTJ. The letter E stands for Extraversion. An extrovert gets their energy from other people and tends to like working in groups. They typically learn though interacting with their surrounds and engaging with the environment. S stands for sensing. This scale focuses on how you receive information. These people learn from facts, typically have more common sense, and are good with memorizing facts. Next, letter is a T, which stands for thinking. This scale tells you how you like to make decisions. These people typically use logic and reasoning to make decisions and analyze and weigh different evidence when trying to make different decisions. Lastly, I tested the letter J, which stands for judging. This scale tells the person about their life style and work habits. These people typically live a very structured and orderly life. They are known to plan ahead and are very well organized.
Overall, I believe that the test was fairly accurate in measuring certain factors of my personality so much so that it was difficult for me to find certain factors that I did not agree with. However there were two factors, E (dominance) and Q1 (rebelliousness), which I believe were a bit overrated in myself. Aside from these the test seemed to adequately define facets of my personality. For “warmth” (factor A) my sten score read 4, indicating that I am slightly more reserved and critical that easygoing and good-natured. I scored a 7 in “ego strength” (factor C), classifying me as more stable and emotionally mature and less emotional and changeable in attitudes. In dominance (factor E) my sten score read 8, meaning I am more assertive, competitive and stubborn rather than submissive, dependent and humble. I received an average score of 5 in “impulsivity” (factor F) indicating a slightly more serious and sober approach to the world over the cheerful and enthusiastic view. As for “boldness” (factor H), I received a sten score of 4 signifying a more shy and restrained approach to things as opposed to an adventurous genial one. I received a median score of 5 for “emotional sensitivity” (factor I) demonstrating my slightly more tough-minded and self-reliant view in contrast to a sensitive insecure one. For “imagination” (factor M) a score of 8, indicating that I am more imaginative, unconventional and absorbed in ideas and am less so for practicality and the prosaic.
My reaction to the “Jung Typology Test” is that it was fairly accurate. I took the Myers-Briggs test last semester for one of my classes and I got the same results. I thought that the test was very simple. However, I thought that some of the questions on the test were a little tricky to answer because I went both ways on it. Some of them were similar to each other with little variations, so it was hard to answer. Overall, I believe that the findings were true to my personality because I can relate to all the letters very well. They truly describe the type of person I am.
Everyone has a different personality that determines their patterns of behavior, thoughts, and feelings. Myers Briggs have determined that there are sixteen different personalities among people. Upon completing the short questionnaire, I have been assigned the logistician, or ISTJ, personality type. In the past, I have completed other personality tests when I was trying to decide on a major that most fit me. These other quizzes also resulted in this personality classification.
