During my second interview, I believe I was able to get the client to talk when she was so uncomfortable and nervous that she kept her answers short, my questions seemed to get her to open up fairly quickly. She seemed to like the advice she was given and hopefully it made a positive impact on her, or at least gave her the comfort of searching further in her options educationally. Overall I felt like the interview went pretty smoothly and I was happy with the feedback I received and with watching my interview afterwards replay and I was far less nervous this interview than the last. I believe that my first experience was a good way to test the waters and navigate my own expectations. On my feedback paper from my instructor she stated that
I mostly used the technique of asking for feedback and then summarizing heathers responses. Heather was very kind during her interview. There were times I had to ask her to elaborate further in some of her responses. The information she shared was to the point so I had to ask her further questions to deepen the conversation and get more information, and when I did this she seemed to be fine about it and was open to sharing with me. It was harder than I thought it would be. I found it difficult to write her responses and listen at the same time. My notes of her responses were evidence that I did struggle with this. Next time I might ask the person I’m interviewing if I could record our conversation so to make sure I don’t miss any information. Working with a client might be more challenging, there could be some sort of verbal hindrance that might make it hard to understand what’s being said or some sort of cognitive aliment, also the client might not want their personal life being shared and they could hold back important
Monday, August 1st, 2016 at approximately 2:10 p.m., a follow-up interview was conducted by Detective L. Donegain withy Dana Dudley at the Police Department. In 1990, the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF), a United States-based organization which represented over 90% of academic institutions with nurse practitioner (NP) education programs, released the first set of entry into practice core competencies (Duller, 2013, p .71). Nurse practitioner core competencies integrate and build upon existing Masters and DNP core competencies and are guidelines for educational programs preparing NPs to implement the full scope of practice as a licensed independent practitioner ( NONPF, 2011). By interviewing an advanced nurse practitioner, I will be able to discuss the nine nurse practitioner core competencies and how they relate to APN practice.

There are 2.2 million people that are locked up in prison or in jail. 7million are on probation or parole. Taxpayers had paid about 80 billion dollars that are spent on corrections facilities alone. My interview was conducted over the phone with Mr. Jonathan Ménard, a sales project manager for Machinex Industries, located in Plessisville, Québec. Through the interview process, we spoke over the phone once for half an hour and exchanged emails over the course of a few days. He was very kind with his time and diligently answered all the questions I had, sometimes taking a few days to ponder over a question in order to provide me with an insightful answer.
My worst fear during the interviews were that I would say something that was insensitive or that the clients would be offended off something that I would say. However, the opposite of my expectations happened, I really had a great time interacting with the different clients. I think the greatest reward out of talking to the clients was that my anxiety and nervousness towards the possibility of messing up, when in fact the opposite happened. The greatest reward out of this was that was that the clients seemed very happy to tell some of their stories to our group. Some stories that they were telling us took them into a sense of nostalgia when talking about some of their early memories. It was also very rewarding to know that the clients thoroughly enjoyed being there and knew that they were going to help us become better occupational therapists.
I structured this paper by giving you the insight about all the question I asked and the responses I received, ending it off with the list of facts I learned and knowledge I gained throughout the interview.
As an undecided major, most of my classes are general education and are there to fulfill requirements. However, I have an interest in education and special education so I took a special disabilities class. EDSP289I explores disabilities, “From Stigma to Slideshow” and the idea of disabilities being socially constructed. After being given the interview assignment in class, I knew who I wanted to interview immediately. I enjoy going to EDSP and learning about special disabilities so there was only one teacher I had interest in interviewing, Dr. Leone. I chose Dr. Leone because of my interest in his class but also because of my interest in him and his profession. After hearing about his real life experiences
After four interviews, one over the phone for 30 minutes and three in person, one totally an hour which was a very pleasant conversation and the other two on a separate interview totally one hour. I was exhausted from being asked the same question or just focus about my current job. I am not sure if I ever will put myself in such situation with such exhausting
Cultures are different all across the world, and it’s important to be able to learn about and understand other cultures to help us shape our anthropological insights. With the help of the CBL project and my partner Paul, I was able to interview Victor. The interview process started off awkwardly as there was a setup error and we didn’t quite know where to start. Victor is a man originally from El Salvador that was now residing in St. Peter Minnesota. The interviews took place at the St. Peter community center, where we were around other immigrants who had come to America. Some were of somalin descent, while others were from Central America. We sat down and talked for around 45 minutes two times, and the last time we met for dinner with
When going into my first mock interview I felt very nervous. I found myself surprised by how quickly I blanked on all of my questions that I had for my initial interview to begin the session. Keeping a professional composer is essential in the reassurance of the client that you can help them with their issues. Nevertheless, I did my best to keep this aura upon myself despite my nerves. As the session progressed, I became more relaxed and found it easier to communicate with my client and ask an array of open ended questions. These open ended questions I found where good transitions to get deeper into the conversation and the underlying issues the client suffered with. Furthermore, I found reflective listening to be fairly easy
Even though some say that Malthus’s theory was correct, I believe that Malthus’s theory on global overpopulation was wrong. Malthus’s theory was wrong because he didn't see the future of technology, birth rates or what the global population would look like in the future. However, even though I believe that Malthus's theories weren't correct a few hundred years ago, doesn't mean that they will always be incorrect.
