As I end my Fall/2016 journey at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University , now is the time for me to reflect on what I really want out of life (Action Plan). This semester have been the roughest semester of all. But through the grace of God, I am almost at the finish line. When I first enrolled back in school as a single mother with no job and little help from my child father. Everything in my life was a disaster at first. Not having gas money to get back and forward to school, and the list goes on. One thing, I have taken from my struggles are to remain humble and pray your way through because hard time don't last long.
At first, my career goals was to become a nurse, after I started working as CNA at a local hospital in Tallahassee.
5 years from now my career goal that I have set for myself is to graduate from an approved nursing program and pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to become a Registered Nurse (RN). After graduation I hope to be promoted at the hospital I am woking at to start working as a registered nurse
My history with Florida A & M University started before I was born. Looking back from day one, my family specifically my mom, cousin and aunts instilled in me what was the definition of a true Rattler. Some have defined a true Rattler as a go getter who stops at nothing to accomplish their goal. Some have defined a true Rattler as a well spoken and confident student attending FAMU. Others, simply would define a true Rattler as a student who has fallen on the hill going to class. Considering these definitions and countless others, I possess the solid qualities for attending Florida A & M University and becoming a true Rattler.
Perusing in the nursing field has always been a goal that I wanted to achieve for many reasons. I always wanted my future to consist on being an accomplished nurse. I love working with people of all ages. Knowing that I can make a positive
I enjoy taking care of other people and making them feel better, especially children, therefore my goal is to become a pediatrician. I've chosen pediatrics for a number of reasons, one reason is saving a child's life, or just generally making them feel better, would be an accomplishment to me. CNA is very closely related to pediatrics, some children will not be able to take care of themselves and CNA will prepare me for that.
Monday, August 20th of 2018 will be the first day of my college career at Florida Gulf Coast University! Not only does Florida Gulf Coast have my major but the campus is right next to the Gulf of Mexico which is great for a want to be marine biologist. The best part is that Fort Meyers is a small city but it's also close to Floridas best beaches and attractions. I can't wait to start my education at Florida Gulf Coast University.
I hope to one day my kids will grow up and become an CNA and help take care of me and if they really are serious about being a nurse assistant then I will do everything I can to make that happen for my kids so they can be able to help people and do vital signs and a lot more that is needed to be
I have always wanted to be a nurse: I do not think there is any task that is as satisfying as treating a patient physically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. I first pursued my LPN, and immediately I knew I had chosen the right career path. Every day, no matter how tired and weary I felt at the end of the day, I was invigorated by the sense that I had made a positive change in the lives of my patients. To build upon my capabilities to help others, I then pursued my RN. I am currently in an RN-BSN program and hope to begin a graduate program subsequently to become a family nurse practitioner.
The career path I have chosen to take is in the medical field. My dream from a young age was always to be a nurse. A nurse is a healthcare professional who is focused on caring for people, and making sure that they manage, maintain, and recover patients to the finest state of health (What is Nursing, par.1). Nursing makes up a vast majority of the healthcare industry. There is a huge range of nursing specialties. Nurses work in General and surgical Hospitals, doctor’s offices, nursing care facilities, outpatient facilities, and home health services (Why Be a Nurse, par. 2). Nursing is an extremely flexible career, with one hundred and four specialties and a lot of advanced nursing degrees, so there is something for everyone in this field (Why Be a Nurse, par. 4). Nurses do much more than just help people heal physically. Nurses are there to make sure patients are taken care of physically and emotionally. There are different levels of
I aspire to become a nurse through the wonderful BSN program at California Baptist University. Why I aspire to be a nurse is because I want to be a useful person in this world. There are very few careers where you can have such a tremendous impact on someone's life every day. Working hard to make a difference in people's lives who are in need. Also health sciences is a topic that really interest me, learning about the human body and how we function is very fascinating. I hope to reach my highest potential in education with the help of California Baptist University.
My ideal future outcome is to get my Associate of Science Nursing by 2019 or 2020 and dive right into my career right after I graduate. In order to achieve this, I would like to keep my job that works according to my schedule, and supports me throughout my college years so that I can focus on school and not have to worry about my financial stability, be with my husband for the rest of my life will be perfect. Ideally, I want to control all aspects of my life.
My dream is to become a neonatal nurse so I can directly aid in the treatment of infants born with a life-threatening illness, birth defects, and those put at risk from premature births. This is a cause close to my heart as my mother has worked with children who suffer from a plethora of birth defects for many years at Spring Creek Elementary School where I have had the pleasure to volunteer on many occasions. These children have their own personal battles that they fight every single day, they do it with smiles on their faces and love in their hearts and it's with the help of the medical staff that fought for them at birth that they are here today to share their love with the rest of the world. This is the nurse I intend to be.
The upcoming fall semester is coming and there are a lot of things I want to accomplish. In the past, I start each year with the intention to become a better person, but I never follow through. So, through experimentation and some research I have formulated a two-step plan to organize and change my life.
I am a nursing student. I have a great passion for caring for others. My short term goals are to graduate Riverland Community College with my Associate's Degree in Nursing this December. I plan to work very hard and prepare to take my nursing licensure exam at the beginning of next year to become licensed as a registered nurse. I will then transfer to Metropolitan State University to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Growing up my dream was to become a nurse because I have always loved to take care of people. I also just knew when I finally started my nursing career I could save the world, While in nursing school, I quickly learned
I decided fairly quickly that I wanted to become a trauma nurse and eventually work in the emergency room. At that time, I also decided that I wanted
