I don't remember much about the culture but the food is great i don't know the names of the dishes but i know that they're good.
The irish part of me is from the isle of man where my nana is from before she moved to the united states. It is influenced by celtic and lesser know norse origins. It is a popular uk tourist attraction. Its native language is manx gaelic but is slowly dying. The islands symbol is

German has been called the country of thinkers and poets. The german in me sticks out most as my other last name is heinrich. The german language one of the three working languages of the European Commission along with english and french. One of the most famous authors are the grimm brothers that created the original fairy tales in their gruesome state. Germany claims some of the most renowned classical composers of the world including but not limited to Bach and Beethoven. Germany has the largest music market in Europe, and third largest in the world.
This is my culture, do i know much about it no i had to do some research to find all the information that is here. I do like irish food and the music that german composers had put out. But i didn't know all that much but i know more know. I did know that i'm more german than irish and more irish than polish. Both my parents were born here but their parents were born where i
This past Christmas Eve, my Polish grandmother joined us to make our traditional Polish dinner, and she insisted that we make pierogies, a Polish dumpling, from scratch. The process was long and messy, but worth it. During the nine hour cooking period I began to think that I have always loved Polish food, but I don’t know much about it. This experience points out my limited knowledge of my own culture. With better understanding of Polish traditions and culture, I can be more helpful next time Christmas rolls around. To prepare Polish dishes, an individual needs to learn about food customs and cultures, know about the cuisine's history, and know how to prepare the meal. These are all necessary so that I can become a better cook and share my
The purpose of my paper is to show how the Scotch-Irish culture came to be in the United States. There were several things that led the Scotch-Irish to make the perilous journey across the Atlantic Ocean to America including famine and high rents. It is estimated that 40-55,000 Scotch Irish arrived in America from 1763 to 1775. (Everyculture) The Scotch-Irish is one of the strongest cultures in the United States and their influence has been generous.
Even though there are many similarities between the Scottish and Irish cultures, there are also many differences. For one, the Scottish have trouble defining what Scottish culture is, this is because they joined the UK at a very early time. Because of this, much of Scottish culture has joined together with English culture. This could be seen when we were walking around Glasgow and saw many English Art and sculptures, as well as walking around the Holyrood house in Edenborough. And now that Scotland may break away from England, the people cling to fantasy and mystery, as well as their own accomplishments to create and define Scottish culture.
My family of Burrows, Bennet (father) Goodbeer, Littlejohn, (mother) is the mixture of what America is French, German, Irish, Native American, and Black. Origins come from the Atlantic slave trade where most of my family was relocated to Arkansas. Where their condition of slavery with all of the horrors of it like the breeding, whippings, lynching, slave codes. The lack of education and the chance to prosper without being a handicap of being a subordinate which in 2016 is still every true to till this day. As for the Native American and the Irish side of the family, I don’t know much than seeing some pictures and Serval stories that I can’t recall from my childhood.
I have no religious beliefs but was christened as child. I am British but also a ¼ Irish and ¼ German. I don’t know a lot about my German culture as I have no contact with the German part of my family.
Another huge part of my life that comes from my German heritage is the foods that my family and I eat. Germans eat a lot of meats. The main meat that my family and I have is pork and sometimes steak. Pork is a very common food in Germany. We even have sausage occasionally. My whole family sits at the dinner table while my father and grandpa cook our dinners. Another thing that the adults do is drink beer on special occasions. My cousins and I are under age so we obviously can’t have
My lineage is complicated and blended with multiple different cultures and origins. On my maternal side, the surname from my grandfather it O’Toole which derives from Ireland and my grandmother Wells, which comes from Great Britain. Replicated on my paternal side, I have both roots from Ireland and England. Although these two countries are a powerful force in my lineage, my ancestors also have come from Pakistan, Germany, and most recently Eastern Canada. The matrilineage of my family is much easier to track and I feel as if that side of my ancestry has more history than the others may hold.
If you follow my family tree back far enough, you find a smattering of Irish and Swedish immigrants. Despite this, I’ve never had any sort of symbolic ethnicity identifying with either group. Maybe it 's commonplace among fourth or so generation immigrants, but the only culture I’ve known was that of the America I grew up in. My great-grandparents are still alive, and my great-grandpa on my mother’s side fought in the Korean War. Many of these types of immigrants
Germany is a country in Central Europe that borders the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. It is located between Poland and the Netherlands. Germany is a dominant country in Europe, and is one of the most well known countries around the world. The country is known for the Berlin Wall that provided the separation between West and East Germany. It was not until the end of the Cold War in Europe that the Berlin Wall was torn down by the people of both West and East Germany. Although the Berlin Wall is a huge part of Germany’s history, most people know about the conflicts Germany has with many other countries, and some would assume Germany is not a dominant country in the world. The country was a part of two world wars, and was a part of the Axis powers.
In general, Irish culture is different from Italian culture which is different from Swedish culture. To emphasize, white is not one big homogenous culture.

(Origin) When thinking about my family and our roots I identify my family’s places or origin as Germany and Ireland. A majority of my family is of German ancestry and the one exception is my grandmother and she is Irish. I identify these too places as where my family came from due to stories that I have hear from family members and to the traits that each member of my family carries. A majority of my family are all blonde hair, with blue or brown eyes which have a lot of similarities to people from Germany. My family as very few of the traits from the Irish side but the only ones the I have been told are that some people in our family freckle a lot
Ireland is a country that is rich in culture, traditions, and faith. This country has struggled with over time with famine, religious tension, and even freedom. Many individuals immigrated to America in search of a better life. The person I chose to interview family came over to the United States when Ireland was struggling with famine. They came over on a boat through New York and changed there name to make it more American. For this paper I will further discuss the Irish culture and the person I interviewed.
My family is very diverse and comes from many different places. My maternal grandmother came to the United States from England when she was 18 and met my biological grandfather. They lived in Montana on Flathead Indian Reservation. This is where my mother was born and raised. When my mother was in high school, she met my
