GOALS:
My number one goal is to make an impression on each and everyone of my students. I want to have a healthy relationship with each of them, by knowing their interests and then helping them achieve them. Having a fun lesson plan to keep my students engaged and curious about what they will learn next, I never want to have a dull moment in my classroom. If something is not working for my students my next goal is to figure out a new way that will help them to understand what it is we are learning. Shoot for the stars even if you miss the one your aiming for you may hit a different one you didn't know you were aiming for.
VISION:
In my classrooms the back wall will be decorated in inspirational quotes and fun facts, the
Another goal that I have had since the beginning of the course was to adopt an engaging and effective teaching style. My aim has been to take the positive traits of teachers that I have enjoyed, while keeping in mind the characteristics and mannerisms that I have disliked, and crafting my own unique teaching style. As I have lead class discussions, group readings, and mini-lessons throughout the semester I have began to develop a teaching style through trial and error. I have paid special attention to the list of 25 pointers for successful tutees from assignment two and and focused on making my teaching interactive, supportive, equal for all, and respectful. I have learned to appreciate that, concerning a student's individual success, a teacher taking the time to listen to their student is just as important as the student listening to the teacher.
I prioritized the client's goals by assessing their significance, manageability, and influence. Reducing Ellen's criminal activity is the number one goal because it is critical and vitally important. This goal was necessary to accomplish first because Ellen could become detained early in treatment and that would terminate the therapeutic alliance. Therefore, reducing Ellen's criminal activity would be the primary goal. Successful completion of goal number one also indicates the client's readiness to advance into the next phase of therapy. Successful completion of goal number one will influence Ellen to take the next step in therapy which is to obtain a volunteer position.
For my students in the classroom they should set goals aside from the goals I make for them. They should always be successful in life and never put their self-down under any circumstance, to always respect one another in the classroom whether they like the classmate or not, not to let other students judge them just because they are receiving extra help with either math or reading, etc. As a student they should feel safe with coming into the classroom and always know that a teacher is willing to listen to
I want to make sure no student feels misunderstood as I did. Lastly, I want to be a role model who brings all students and children to their highest level of
I remember my favorite teacher vividly even though I sat in her class many years ago. I have so many fond memories of her and took so much from her class. I can only dream of touching a child’s life in the way my favorite teacher touched mine. For just one student to think of me in the same way would make all the years of hard work worth the effort. I also want my students achieve many accomplishments. I want them to use and remember what they have learned in my class. I also want them to have a broad spectrum of knowledge. I want each student to do their best and go as far as they can. I want them to feel a sense of accomplishment and be proud of themselves. I want to be the teacher who is encouraging, supportive, and pushes her students to be their best.
As a future instructor and educator, my goal for my students would be to provide a nurturing, safe, supportive, and positive learning environment. From my personal experiences as a student, it is important for me as an instructor/teacher to be encouraging and motivational. It is of utmost importance that I practice this with my students especially, since they will range in age, gender, religion, ethnicity, and culture. Our education system
Goals for me as a teacher include being attentive to the students needs, promoting consistent structure with play, and to encourage empathetic teaching like questions such as, “ Why do you think he is sad?” Also, attending to signs of trauma and providing support to children with an excess amount of stress is
Establishing clear learning goals is the critical first step for reaching all learners. A goal that supports differentiation needs to be clear, but not so specific that there is only one pathway to success. Diverse learners can all work towards the same goals when multiple pathways are available. Similarly, there should be multiple levels of achievement possible to enable varying degrees of performance. Clear goals allow us to offer students varied pathways to learning, including scaffolding for support and challenges to extend learning. Further, it is important that learning goals be distinct and separate from the
These goals are important for students.
It really depends on what grade I will be teaching. I have been in kindergarten the past few semesters and many of them have no idea what a goal is. I would love to introduce the idea of a goal to my students. I would first start by telling them my personal goal for them is to follow my set of classroom rules. Reminding them to follow these rules and reach the goal of being able to follow rules will help the classroom run smoothly and efficiently. Letting them know that having the same goal as I is good for now, but I will also remind them that it is good to have their own set of goals. Once
I strive to make my students feel like they are apart of a safe, fun learning environment and I continue to let them know that I’m on their team. My success comes when I know I they have achieved the goals that I’ve implemented for them on an academic and personal level. I feel that I am effective when I see that my students are learning and progressing at the appropriate levels and beyond. I look forward to those “light bulb” moments. As an educator, I am assisting in setting them on a path to success in school and in life. Teaching allows me to share my love for learning with young minds and help students discover their
I want to be able to make a positive impact on student’s lives. I want all students to feel successful and that they can do and be anything that they want to be if they do their best. I want to give younger students encouragement as many may not receive this outside of the school building. I love to encourage students so that they can reach their potentials. I find it easy to interact with younger students and establish a good rapport with them. This is an important key for student success because if the student sees that you care about them then they are willing to try to do their best for you. I like to present lessons in a creative way so that my students get excited about learning. I was recently reviewing letters that we have worked on
In intro, I am in ELS because I have lack of English skills. I wrote my 3 goals to be improved
My big, hairy and audacious goal is to play division one girl college hockey. I chose this as my BHAG because it is an important athletic goal for myself. This BHAG will help me be successful in freshman year because colleges not only look at your talent of the sport, but also how you did academically and how hard you worked all four years of high school. I realize that it all starts now, freshman year. During the course of this year, I must persevere and do homework I may not want to do or make decisions that may affect plan with friends and such. Every time I will think something gets tough I will think of my goal and push through the difficult situation. By persevering, I will succeed and I will be able to play division one girls hockey.
Clear goals allow students to engage more and feel motivated to participate and do better in school.
