Goal orientation has always been an important attribute of my personality. It is a necessity of mine to create reasonable goals within every realm of my life. It is also a necessity to create dream goals, giving me the ability to strive for something greater than myself. In compliance with this mentality, I expect myself to achieve all goals, no matter the complexity or improbability. I find that making goals and achieving goals keeps me in the mindset to be successful; they keep me motivated, focused, and accountable. Almost all of my goals involve me being in a leadership position, whether it is on the volleyball court, in the classroom, or in my future career. My ultimate goal as an RMU athlete is to be the leader and teammate I know
In life it is important that you remember that you cannot give up on your goals. Accomplishing your goals can improve your personality and lead to a happy life. Goals are never easy to reach but by leaving them behind you are only letting yourself and others down. Nightjohn by Gary Paulsen, shows that it is important to have determination to achieve your goals.
As a leader, I will strive to obtain a high degree of athletic, mental, and personal development for my student athletes and endeavor to be instrumental in their goals. I will continue to empower them to be young, idealistic leaders not only on the field, but in the community by asserting respect and empathy for others and maintaining strong academic success while pursuing competitive objectives.
I believe that goals can give me strong motivations and guide me in a right way to pursue them. My short-term goal is to
One of my goals is to be a leader in a business organization. Being the captain of the swim team sets a concrete foundation of what being a leader is like in a business organization. As the captain I have to make sure everyone is accounted for, keep morale high, talk about issues about an individual on the swim team, and fix said problem. This shows responsibility, character, and sympathy. These are core values that all leaders must have to be successful. Without them, they will
Whether we like to believe it goals play an important part in our lives. They keep us on track with what we want to accomplish in life. Some of my biggest goals were made as a child and others where just by surprise. However now I have much different goals set for myself. I have three main goals that can be separated into a personal, professional, and academic area. A personal goal is to become a great runner and roll model. A professional goal of mine is to become a nurse to help others in need and finally, my academic goal is to get a 3.5 GPA and graduate college. All these goals can be accomplished with hard work and dedication just like any other goal in life. We all want to strive for the best and sometimes we need smaller goals to help
Setting goals for yourself is an important aspect to help achieve success in life. Setting goals not only helps guide you to be successful, but also helps a person believe in themselves
I have had various goals of being a leader at my school. Most of those goals involved sports offered at CVCA, specifically in football. Being named co-captain of the varsity football team, I was able to accomplish one of my biggest goals.
In my four years of high school, I have had many opportunities to excel in different roles and leadership positions. I am a four sport athlete and had my share of leading the team in the right direction. I was team captain for basketball and softball by junior year and was able to achieve being captain in volleyball, basketball, and softball my senior year. Part of my duties as captain would include; leading practices and leading all the players by being a role model on and off the court. With addition to sports, I was also involved in different clubs and organizations.
My first goal as a leader is to advance the HMC students in helping them understand how to work as a team, having a heart that puts Him first, and reaching their potential as artists. My second goal is to keep learning myself because the more I understand and know the better I can lead. I am willing to put in whatever I need to in order to help the
Personal goals usually have theirs ups and downs but in the end the satisfaction of completing a goal is unmatchable. Goals are helpful guides in life that steer you towards achievements and goals can shape a person’s life. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life was shaped with his goal for equality of all races. King instead of being known as a baptist minister his goal shaped his legacy and now King is forever remembered as a leader of the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s. The same can be said with my experience in building my computer which shaped my future forever. My personal achievement of building a computer is responsible for many decisions in life.
Goals we all have them big or small, we each have something we want to accomplish, but the big question always is, how do we accomplish it. Well for me, I have goals in life daily and longer term. Daily goals would be like finish psychology paper or make it to the gym sometime today. My more long terms goals relate specifically to my college degree, such as complete college in four years, get into a good
My backgroud tells a different story. I've always believed that if you want something you have to go get it. My drive to maintain goals have made up who I am as a person. My urge to to acheive superior goals, has let me stay true to my Identity. My drive to win a ring in basketball win more than one game in football and get good grades in school makes up my
For as long as I could remember, one of my biggest dreams has always been to become a captain of my varsity cheerleading team at my high school. It was always something I strived for, always something I thought I had under my belt for quite a few years. I never wanted to seem cocky about it, and I never flaunted the fact that I believed I had this position under lock and key. I was a strong leader, and a strong cheerleader. I wanted to be a figure the younger girls on the team looked up too, and bring success and unity to my team.
Setting goals is the most important thing you can do in your life. Without goal's you are going to have no direction, no ambition to be successful, no drive to stay in school, and trouble finding a career that will provide for you. Without these three things, achieving your goals is going to be one of the toughest tasks in the years to come.
As growing individuals, we strive to achieve what is considered our personal best and from experience, continue to grow from the motivation that we gain and the obstacles that we may encounter whilst trying to achieve these goals. Over the years many psychological perspectives have been used as evidence to support this idea of striving for goals. One in particular is known as the self-regulation perspective, which emphasizes the relationship between one’s goals and their intentions, which ultimately relate and cause an impact towards one’s behaviour. This perspective also discusses the idea of setting higher goals and how it can lead to a higher standard of success and excellence in whatever task the individual has set out.
