My future is something I often think about. Most often, the questions that arise include the common doubts of “Am I doing this right?”, or even the occasional midnight philosophical questions such as “Why are we here?”, and so on. For the purpose of this essay, I will focus on the factors that have allowed me to reach this point in my life and how these factors influenced and continue to influence me, in order to provide me with a visualization of my future.
Factors that contributed to my current life choices include the desperate want to be something greater, as well as to experience the world in ways some could only dream of. I study hard, allowing for me to have the possibility of an early graduation. I dream big, allowing me with the imagination to draw up plans for myself and my future. I work hard, allowing me the strength and vision to execute my plans for the future. The way that I was raised has greatly benefited me. My parents have taught me that anything and everything is possible as long as you work hard for it despite the what others may tell you or even if the odds are against you. Another factor that led to my current life, is the amount of time I allow myself to think about my plans and refine them. This is extremely important because, without a solid, flexible, long-term plan, you could get lost in dreaming about the future, and end up not accomplishing anything. Hence, many aspects of my life have been planned out with not one or two possible alternatives
Of all the forms of literature, the most interesting might be the fairytales, or the science fiction thriller about robots. However, there lacks the sense of truth, in a way blocking the reader from true connection with the story. Memoir is real, memoir is true, and memoir can range from any end of the ocean in structure and theme.
There is a number of life sequences that can shape the person that you are today . My personal experience has made a positive influence in my life and plays a huge part of the person that i am today .I am the eldest of three children in my family, the only girl and the first person in both sides of my families to have a high school diploma and have completed a full education in the United States. Not only do i want to be the first high school graduate in my family but i also want to be the first one to pursue a career. Getting an education has always been my priority growing up. Thanks to my hard working parents i had a great childhood. My elementary and middle school years were probably the best times of my life. I would receive
Cesar Chavez once said, “When we are really honest with ourselves we must admit our lives are all that really belong to us, so it is how we use our lives that determines the kind of men we are.” This is powerful because it shows me that settling for anything is not what I want to do in my life. For a long time I knew I wanted to be accountant and work hard using my brain and not my back, like my father has his whole life. However, I had to experience true labor and what it was like to understand and build a true work ethic. It was the summer going into my sophomore year when I got my first job.
In the midst of everyday living, it was difficult to figure out what the correct choices were to ensure a gratifying future. However, life has an unexpected way of working itself out and pushing you in the appropriate direction that you need
In this essay I will try to explain why visions of the future are so
Stephen Covey once said “I am not a product of my circumstances. I am the product of my decisions.” What I believe he meant by this is that it is not the events that find you that will make you, it is the events that you make that create you. I realize that what I want to become is not what most people dream of becoming, many people dream of becoming a teacher, a veterinarian, a zookeeper, or an author, but I want to be an orthodontist.
Even at a young age, people begin to ask you what you want to be when you grow up. Children’s answers will range anywhere from ballerina, to firefighter, to President of the United States. However, as you get older, the question becomes more serious. As a high schooler, you feel as if you need to know exactly where you will end up thirty years into the future. Since senior year began, I have tried my best to understand my strengths and goals in life so that I can prepare for my future.
life is stupidly hard sometimes, and only made harder when we pass 18 and have to make our own significant choices. It used to be that society and our parents shaped our futures and even pushed us in the direction they wanted us to succeed in, however hard I tried though I always fell short of my parents expectations. I didnt believe people could change and that neither of my parents would change their way of thinking and that I would never be able to change what I was, but people can change and I know that now. They wanted me to go to college and develop myself in a successful career insted I ran from what my parents wanted, got emancipated and married at 16 and then divorced at 21.
In today’s modern society, college signifies much more than just pursuing a two or four year degree. College ready means that students need to be prepare for college level education to be able to succeed or do well in credit-bearing college courses without the need of remedial coursework. Being college ready refers to the level of knowledge and skills students are required to possess in certain subject areas such as mathematics, reading and English and to be successful in any and all future accomplishments. Students need to have good communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills to be able to succeed in college.
“If you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.” No one could have said it better than J.R.R. Tolkien. Often, I get “swept off” to a place called my bedroom where I read too many books too many times. I read stories of adventure in hopes that one day a wizard in a gray hat will show up at my home and tell me I am needed for the company burglar. Or maybe I find a droid. Maybe this droid contains an important message that must be delivered to someone so I have to take him to that someone. I do realize life is not an action-packed adventure like those books portray. However, life is an adventure in itself, just not one filled with mythical creatures and people. When I read, I lose track of time
What choice have you made that has impacted your life? The choice I made that has impacted my life tremendously has been to further my education. Obtain an associate’s degree in business, making the choice to go to college has been the best choice I have made in my life so far. It inspires me to be the best person I can possibly be I want to be successful in life and have a career not work a regular nine to five job just to live pay check to pay check. I want to be able to provide for my family give back to those that have sacrificed their life for me in order to get where I need to be in life.
My life isn’t that appealing, I always imagined myself in better position that I am now, maybe living out of state somewhere with a boyfriend who loves me and a job that could sustain my college tuition. If you would have asked me at the age of eight what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would have said something on the line of “a Lawyer, Doctor, or even an Astronaut” but no one ever tells you how hard its going to be and how much debt you’ll be in at the age of twenty-five. From childhood to adulthood, everyone chooses a path, where they must overcome obstacles thrown at them. Obstacles in life make us who where are, they make us learn, and they predict how we will turn out. My obstacles consist of mental, physical, and social throughout my childhood, adolescence, and adulthood years which made me who I am today.
I can conclude that even though I have some of my life planned out that things will change. Like I said earlier I am only in highschool , I don’t have to know who i am yet or what I am going to be. These are just questions I don’t have the answers to yet and I might not get them for a long time . Therefore I can say whatever I want right now about my goals and personal strengths and challenges but most of it will
Life sometimes seems scary. The fear of failure and the fear of the unknown make a person rethink its choices and goals, this happens all the time. As time passes, be days, moths, years or only simply one experience can change our whole vision of the world, about life, about what really matters and consequently about our goals. Throughout my whole life I have questioned so many aspects of my life, of existence, and consequently about my future. I never stopped wanting to achieve something big, that could change the whole world, some amazing adventure that would be the one thing that would give birth to all the amazing things that could happen next. As time passed I realized that life itself is one big adventure, and that what I will do every day will matter for me and for the people around me. I realized that life is not some perfect movie where there are good guys, bad guys and that in the end of one amazing journey everything would be solved. It may be a childish vision of the world, but it had motivated me for years to do the thing I believed would help me achieve this, and to believe in myself. Obviously as I grew up, I saw what the world really looked like, that sacrifices have to be made, that there are things which no one can control, that if I want something I have to work really hard. In today society everything counts.
Every since I was a young girl I have been always asked by, what do you wanna be when you grow up? I know some people that change their minds every week of what their future hold for them and how they are gonna live through it. The future is changing every second of our lives, everything single thing that we do affects what our future hold for us. All my life I have been determined on one thing in my life. I have always wanted to become a doctor no matter what. I know that there is nothing that is gonna change my mind about that. Technology has helped many people with what they do at their job, however it has also harmed their jobs also.
