I noticed when I researched all these careers that the majority of the jobs are close in their prerequisites and in numbers with the salary range. Going through the book and looking at all my options was overwhelming because I don’t actually know what I want to specialize in exactly. I knew from the beginning where I wanted to head towards, which was forensic science. I know that once I get to college and actually start taking some of the courses and get an internship, I will know what career I would like to specialize in for my master’s degree. By obtaining all this knowledge through this book, I have given myself that opportunity to narrow my interest. I know now at least which two majors I will consider for my bachelor’s degree. She showed me many of the different technology used in their laboratories as well as the different labs they have and what they use. Sadly, I didn’t get a chance to go see the buildings in which they conduct experiments involving house fire or other explosives. The other interview I have planned is on March 2nd with Kirk Bloodsworth, who was the first man to be convicted then exonerated. I researched his case and what he is currently doing in order to come up with questions to ask him. I procrastinated a lot when I was trying to write them because I didn’t want to ask him the wrong questions or questions that I knew he has already been asked more than enough times. Mr. Cohen, my senior project teacher, pushed me to get started on them and even helped me come up with the first few to get me started. Once I initiated writing down the questions, I couldn’t stop. I realized that it shouldn’t matter what other people have asked him but instead asking the questions in which I am most interested. I feel like the part in which I am most interested in is seeing how he pushed to get his DNA
