I benefit alot from this assignement as it supplys me alot of useful information in Radiology, also it allows me to review the other subjects such as Anatomy " the subject which I like ", and Medicine " subject which I study nowadays, also it review my information in the Surgery which I finished from it recently. Also it allows me to discover an amazing websites such as Radiopeadia and Medscape, I save it in my phone and it will help me in the future. Thanks

The conversation around the rising costs of health care continues to be a high priority topic of discussion from consumer all the way up to the government. There are many products and services that contribute to the rising costs, as well as some responsibility left to practicing providers who choose to use high dollar radiology services for patient care. There is an overuse of high dollar radiology services in lieu of using conservative treatment and it is important to medically manage those persons individually with medical algorithms. The paper will cover this information as well as how to implement the solutions and the costs associated with the implementation as well as discuss
Having taken a liberal arts education has helped them with their learning skills because they have taken different kinds of classes that they had to learn from. For example, in math class they always have new formulas and equations to learn how to solve problems. Most people wonder why we have to take math if they will never use these equations, but math is also teaching them new ways to solve their problems just like they would have to do in their job. Like any new material or equipment they need to get familiar with and this can benefit the radiographer in getting their work done faster. Being in this career they will always have a new machine with better technology coming in that they will need to learn how to use fast and get acquainted with to get their job done. As mentioned in the article of “People with potentially urgent conditions.” they explain how now they use digital plated instead of the cassette x-ray which would take five to fifteen minutes long. With the new technology, it only takes six seconds for the doctor to review the image. Indeed this new technology is only getting enhanced and the radiographer will need to be able to adapt to the new machine. This new machines will make it much easier for patients to get their results as well as the radiographer to get their job done quicker because, like Josh Edmonds said, “In acute situation, every second counts.” (People with). For instance a
A gigantic change overnight happened in Australia that made the field extend as a rival in the field of radiography (AIR 2014, 1). In July 2012, another national arrangement of enrollment and accreditation started took off. This implied interestingly that as opposed to enlisting at the state level or at an organization in a domain, or not enrolling by any means, persons wishing to work in these three zones in Australia expected to enroll with the national body (AIR 2014, 1).
With applications and browsers like “Google” and “Yahoo”, you get a wealth of knowledge with just the touch of a button. This is very beneficial for people like students, who no longer need to carry around heavy textbooks. Students can search the internet for the information that they need. Ease of access to this abundance of information is also a huge asset of having a cell phone. If you have a burning question that you need the answer to right away, you can look it up on the internet. Before cell phones you would have had to go to the library or find an encyclopedia to find the
Radiology technicians play an important role in society and have the ability to make a positive impact on people’s lives. They have the ability to make a difference in a patient’s live by employing their communication and patient care skills. Working as a radiology technician would allow me to fulfill my passion for helping others and making an impact while working in a career that I know I would love. I have been fortunate enough to work alongside many radiology technicians for over 4 years and have come to realize the vital role they play in Healthcare. The fast-paced work environment and major responsibility is something that I am intrigued by. I find radiologic imaging such a fascinating technology and am extremely passionate to make a career out of it.
World War One was a war that didn’t seem to end: it was four years of fighting throughout Europe, people dying on the sides of both the Allied and Central powers. For about half of the war, the two opponents reached a stalemate. There was no clear winner during battles and there was no progress on either side. The Allied powers, including Great Britain, needed to find a way to add more power into their armies. Perhaps they needed more people who were passionate about winning the war and defeating the Germans and the other Central powers.
After being away for my first year of college, I finally got to see what this world is full of and the plethora of opportunities that are out there. My academic goals consist of completing my requirements at Monterey Peninsula College and earning my Associates Degree, then attempt to get into Cabrillo College’s Radiology Certification program to get my life started. My vocational goals are to get certified as a Radiology Technician, then eventually go a step higher and become a Radiologist. During my college experience, I have experienced what it is like to “wear many hats.” I am a full time college student and athlete, as well as working to help pay off my education. It was a rough start trying to find the time to balance everything,
Radiology Technicians are like heroes. Without x-rays they do many people’s sicknesses would go un-treated , as well as undetected. The job of a radiology tech is sometimes very stressful, but even though that it is stressful they know it’s worth the stress because they are saving other people’s lives. When being a radiology technician it can be very dangerous because of the administering radiation, but the benefits of being able to know that you helped a person out ways all the negative factors of this career.
Halloween is one of the most popular holidays for children. It is celebrated with young children roaming the streets with their costume on collecting candy for hours around the block. Though not a lot of people I know celebrate the next holiday called, Day of the Dead, it is fairly different from Halloween. They both have their similarities but when it comes down to it, they are pretty different. Here are some differences and similarities I learned about the Day of the Dead, and Halloween while reading and watching a video.
Radiologic technology is a satisfying and rewarding career. It is a technical and refined science. As a radiological technologist, there are many essential duties and responsibilities that have to be fulfilled in order to be a good one. First of all, radiological technologists have to maintain a well-mannered and professional behavior when gathering information. They have to assure their patients that they are in good hands therefore; they give patients the uppermost quality of care and services. Second of all, the main responsibility of a healthcare provider is to keep all knowledge of a patient’s health record confidential or secluded. That means radiological technologists cannot talk about patients at home or with friends and classmates
I have come to learn both digital radiography and conventional radiography. I personally like both. I prefer to do some exams with the conventional radiography and processor, and some exams with digital radiography. Many people have different feelings towards one or the other.
During the first half of the degree, students must have direct supervision from a qualified radiographer. Direct supervision is where the supervisor oversees activities as they occur and provides constant direction, feedback, and assistance(wiseGEEK, 2014). This is necessary in the clinical setting for junior students so the supervisor can step in and help stabilize the situation if it gets out of control, which is very important for health and safety reasons (wiseGEEK, 2014).
Then, I decide to look into it more, like what are the requirement for the program. I chose this program because I could not deal with seeing blood and it is an interesting profession for me. Because you see different type of patients with different diagnosis. Currently, I’m taking some of the requirement classes. In conclusion, I’m preparing to get into the X-Ray program.
By adopting these, a more familiar atmosphere can be created where a radiographer knows what is expected of him and who is he working with. This will help in minimizing the risk factor and improving efficiency(NHS National reporting and learning service 2008).( National Patient Safety Agency, 2009).
