I am honored to be nominated in the National Junior Honor Society. I will you show that I am worthy to be in such a nominated for something this important. I will also show you that I will benefit the NJHS. I have the competence to work hard in and out of school and in the NJHS. I have high standards for myself and I will be able to accomplish those. I think I show leadership very well. I encourage people to stay on task. When my peers need help, I volunteer to help them. I cooperate with them. Once I even led a debate team. I listened to all of their ideas and I we helped each other. My team won the debate. I also taught a Social Studies lesson before. The students understood the lesson. I answered their questions and acted like a teacher would. I’m a good role model because I stay positive, help those around me and work very hard. This is why I think leadership is one of my best qualities and why I should be inducted into the NJHS. …show more content…
When I go to Bible Study, I help out the little kids there and help them study. I also help around the school. For example, on the day of the Valentine's Dance, I stayed with my cousin and helped clean up after the dance even though I wasn't an NJHS member. I volunteered without hesitation. Also, the day of school orientation I helped my cousin (who is in the NJHS)give people their schedules. Sometimes when I finish all of my work early, I help the teachers. I ask them if they need help. I also help the custodians. I clean under the tables, so the custodian doesn't have to do it. That's basically what I do to help around the
I’m interested in becoming a member of the National Junior Honor Society because I want to be involved. I would like to meet people that share the same passions as me and have similar goals. It is helpful to view opinions of other students who have the same mindset as me in difficult circumstances. I am enthusiastic about my education and I am willing to take it a step further to prepare for my future. Finally, I want to make a difference in the community for the better and establish a bright future not only for me, but the people who surround
I may not be the best candidate for the next member of the National Junior Honor Society, but I certainly believe I could be a great addition! Overall, I am a great learner, leader and student. I have not had any major discipline problems since kindergarten! I have always had top grades and have been top of my class at some point or another. I have good grades that I always maintain and standards that I never lower. My character is not the best but it certainly isn’t the worst. I try to help out in my school or community when possible but regrettably I have not given much of my time to my school or community. At the end of the day, I am a good student, friend, son and brother.
I am excited to be one of the candidates for the 2017-2018 National Junior Honor Society. I understand that the National Junior Honor Society is for students who demonstrate exemplary scholarship, citizenship, service, leadership, and character. I believe that I have maintained a grade point average of 3.55 or higher and have shown all of the five given standards of the National Junior Honor Society. I believe that my involvement with the National Junior Honor Society will help me to prepare my future as a leader, character role model, and good citizen.
I was part of the Air Cadets, a program to help the youth with leadership and teamwork skills, I showed my leadership skills by raising money for my squadron. Air Cadets allowed me to take part in my own community. I am active in many sports such as; golf, tennis, table tennis, soccer. I also enjoy playing chess with my brother and father and I enjoy skiing and skating during the winter time. At school, I try to enjoy it instead of seeing it as a stressful job, I make sure that even if I have stress, I can deal with it calmly and effectively. I easily understand concepts and learn new things quickly which will benefit me if I miss a month of school for this program. I usually do my assignments beforehand so that I have time to add any final touches and have it edited by my peers and teachers. I show my leadership in many different ways. I take the initiative of helping teachers, my fellow students and my parents. I help
Over the past two years (2014-2016) I have participated in the National Junior Honors Society. As a member, I commit to completing community service and to learning among my peers in order to develop into a superior leader. I have taken part in activities such as fundraisers, team building activities, and several forms of community services such as working in a soup kitchen, daycares and organizing social events. Recently, I volunteered for a week as a vendor at a temple in Tacoma, raising money for the establishment during the Cambodian New Year festival.
As a freshman at the University of Maryland, I am pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Cyber Security. I formerly attended the Academy of Health Sciences at Prince George’s Community College, a dual enrollment program in which I graduated with my High school diploma and an Associates of Arts degree in General Studies. Having a unique experience by attending these different school has allowed me to become familiar with technical communication in a multitude of ways, whether it is in the work place or school related. Being vice president of the national honor society, being a barista at Peet’s coffee shop, and with being fluent in multiple languages I have used technical communication to encourage people to “take action” in a multitude of ways. Whether it was influencing people to join the national honors society or trying to get customers to buy a new coffee drink, I have consistently been able to encourage others to “take action” with whatever it may be. Over time I have learned the do’s and don’ts of being a technical communicator, and I now understand what must be done to accomplish a task through technical communication.
When I was 11, I saw my sister walk across the stage in the Go-Hawk Gymnasium. I remembered the tassels she wore, and how only some of graduates had them on. At the time, I didn't know what they meant or how to achieve them, but I knew that was a goal I wanted to strive for. Looking back at my life as a Go-Hawk, my leadership, my volunteer work, and my success in the classroom has culminated to the opportunity to be apart of something that I only dreamed of growing up.

If I were to be accepted into the National Junior Honor Society, which is one of the highest honors that can be awarded, I would consider myself to be a very lucky person. Throughout my life, I've always considered myself as someone with good character and values.I've always prided myself in always doing the right thing and helping others. In addition, I view myself as a leader, not a follower. Being a leader comes naturally to me. I'm a leader amongst my friends and siblings. They always look up to me when they have a problem or when they need advice. I have a good standard education with an A average which will help me achieve my goals in the future.
I like to help people who need it, or even just doing something nice for them makes me feel happy and content. In school I have helped my friends many times and have helped my teachers too. At home I help my parents with anything that they need help with. In sixth grade I completed my five or more hours of service by serving as a safety patrol. It was my duty to keep children safe while boarding the bus, riding the bus, departing the bus, and in the event of an emergency. I had to maintain order at all times and had to always be extremely vigilant of any unwanted or unsafe behavior. During that year I also served as a kindergarten patrol for a few months, making sure that they knew where they were going and were safe, and as a stairwell patrol, regulating movement on the
National Junior Honor Society will be a great opportunity for me. If I am accepted into NJHS I plan on keeping up my 4.0 average, balancing between school and outside of school activities, continuing to help my community/peers, and creating a specific idea to make a positive impact at the school. The next 3 paragraphs I will be stating why I will be a great member of NJHS, why it's good to help people, and something I could do to positively impact my school.
It is truly an honor to be recognized by National Junior Honor Society. I realize it will take so much more than fantastic grades to be a part of NJHS. It will require tremendous commitment, determination, and a significant amount of time. I honestly believe that an NJHS member should always feel the need to always help others. The volunteer spirit should not only be shown in the community, but at home, church, and in school.

quote by John F. Kennedy, thirty-fifth president of the United States, shows that the National Junior Honor Society could do a great deal for me as a person, but I can contribute a great deal to this society as one of its members. I believe that I would be a substantial member of NJHS. I would enjoy an opportunity to be a part of this society. Also, I have characteristics that potential National a Junior Honor Society member would possess.
