I grew up and spent most of my life living up north in Waldorf, Maryland, as my mother and step father are employed by the U.S Military. They were stationed on Andrews Air Force Base for eight years, but in 2006 they were both moved to Robins Air Force Base, in Warner Robins, Georgia. During this time I moved to Atlanta to live with my dad for a year, before moving to Warner Robins to live with my mom again. Upon arriving in the small city of Warner Robins, I noticed a big difference in the population, social life, and education.
The city of Atlanta is full of people, and is growing by the numbers everyday. A lot of people move here for schooling, a new career, cheaper living, and for the high city lifestyle. Whereas for Warner Robins,

The only problem I had with schooling was with the curriculum, as it was harder than any other school I had previously attended, and staffed a lot of teachers who didn't care too much about the students education. I felt that I wouldn’t be properly prepared for college, and would instead be forced into adjusting at a community college upon graduating. Warner Robins school system in contrast was exceptional, as there were teacher's that cared about each students progression, and there were about 25-30 students in each class. The teacher's stuck to the curriculum for each class, and they believed by the end of each students high school experience, they would be ready for college courses. I feel that every student needs a school system like this, but I know that not all small cities are going to be like this, and not all large cities are going to bad school system like Atlanta.
Living in a large city was a good experience for me and taught me a lot. You can meet a lot of interesting people, and see a lot of amusing sites for fun, social outings. Every kid or person that moves around a lot, hopes to end up in an city like Atlanta at least once. I got that chance, with my only bad experience coming from being enrolled in the DeKalb County School System. In the end, I enjoy living in Atlanta, and I find the big city life a better fit for
Atlanta is Georgia’s capital and has many fascinating features about it. Atlanta’s population is 420,003 and its size is 132.4 square miles. Many people enjoy the sports that Atlanta is home to such as the Atlanta Braves (baseball), the Atlanta Falcons (football), and the Atlanta Hawks
tlanta is a very culturally rich and is also full of important history. Atlanta's attractions are known the world over for its parks, sports teams, shopping, museums, and entertainment. Growing up in a small town in the corner of Northwest Georgia taught me many things. It taught me a distinctive vocabulary showcasing words such as “cattywampus” and phrases like “well butter my butt and call me a biscuit.” I also learned the importance of manors and of course, the notorious southern hospitality. However, growing up in a small city in the south also taught me about the tangible impact that of discrimination and privilege. It taught me about lack of funding for public education and underachieving student bodies. But most importantly, it inspired me to serve. Without growing up and seeing these things first hand, I honestly do not know if I would have felt the calling to protect the rights of everyone and work towards an inclusive
Many of the harsh dilemmas I encountered that were directly related to me conceding to abuse alcohol, existed well in advance of my decision to relocate to Atlanta, Ga. In fact, from what I'm able to ascertain by way of reliable sources, including my wife, is that my primary motive for leaning more towards this decision was to find help for the perils and perplexed conditions in which my life had twirled into. Initially, though I was unable to interpret the chaotic turn of events, or the uncivil behaviors I came to embrace, it appeared that everyone else around me were solely aware of them and were also jointly convinced that the only way out for me was to seek professional guidance. Their wrath about me drinking as heavily as I did were
ATLANTA- Atlanta might be the place for business, but Atlanta business environments are separated by race. An environment with most caucasian people is most likely to have a lot of advanced business and “Black Mecca environments” than a environment with African American with low poverty. For example the government is not helping West-End Atlanta. When we went to West-End Atlanta to survey people based of poverty , one lady said, “This place have not changed a lot for the past 40 years.” 40 years is a lot for a place not to change.
I was 12 year old when I started playing basketball. My dream was to be similar to Michael Jordan. However, my GBL team has lost every game since I’ve started playing basketball. I was also playing with my older brother Jeremiah for the first time, but we were always fighting about whose better. I knew this season would bring us together. With a lot of hard work we finally won. It took me and my brother to work together to win.
Millions of people move around The United States each year. A total of, “7,628,000 moved to a different state” (Avrick). Of those seven point six million, thousands move to the state of Michigan. Some people move to be closer to the great lakes for fishing, boating, or jet skiing. Even though Michigan is a fine state to make a new home in, there is a city in Michigan that movers might need to venture from. This city is the city of Detroit. Detroit is not one of the best moving decisions for just about anyone. There are many problems in the city of Detroit that might cause movers to reconsider moving there.
Moving to Atlanta was a massive milestone that helped me with a lot of personal growth. I know that might not be as amazing as winning the lottery, but to me it was. Moving 20 minutes away from your old home doesn’t sound that bad right? Not until you find out that you are now living in a new district where you are welcomed into a new environment. That includes going to a new school, being in a new neighborhood and basically starting all over. My mom wanted to get away from the crowd and live in a home with more privacy. This move made me learn how to adjust to new settings.
The Variety of people I meet has changed a lot since I moved to Kennesaw. The adults aren’t all just teachers or soldiers but are all kinds of different people. The kids aren’t all the children of military parents but come from many different kinds of families. In the Military everyone was basically living in the same conditions, the houses were the same, and everyone had, at least, one parent in the military which kind of leads to people being raised under the same ideas.

I believe that it is better for people to live in smaller towns rather than big cities. Bigcits are always so cluserd and are really dirty. Small towns are spread out from each other and you can have a lot of land to have fun as a kid. In big cities you can't have a lot of fun because you're so close to everyone else and they could get mad and call the police on you. But when you live in a small town you can make all the noise you want if you live out in the country.
The country and the city both offer a place to live, but the pollution, entertainment, crime and education; are all reasons why the country is a better place to live and raise a family. A country girl myself, I currently live in the city with my family, but I would give anything to raise my sons in the country. Although much can be learned in the city, you cannot get that small town morale here nor the manners that come from being raised in a small southern town.
My first reason as to why you should live in a big city is because there are more job opportunities. Since there you are in a big city there are more better jobs like higher up jobs such as big companies. If you lived in a small town then there aren't big companies like there would be in new york city. If you live in a small town then you have a small job that pays little money, so an example would be living in some
Some people believe it is better to grow up in a small town, and other people think it's better to grow in a big city. I consider it better to grow in a big city, not only because there are more people, but because you experience more people and different things that a small town probably doesn't have.
Let’s re-examine the inner city school mentioned above. What are some assumptions about this school? It is a public school, it is in an area with lower incomes, the children and teachers who populate this school are mostly of a singular race or ethnicity, the education they receive may be less than sufficient, the majority of the children will not go on to higher education, it would take too many resources to fix a school in this area. What are some assumptions about a school in the suburbs? It may be public, the surrounding area is mostly middle class families, the teachers and children who populate the school are mostly of a singular race, the education is sufficient or above the current standard, the majority of children will go on to higher education, it is worth the effort to put resources into enhancing the school.
