“There is no moment like the present, no present like time,” remarked Georgia Byng in her book, Molly Moon's Hypnotic Time Travel Adventure.
Sitting at my living room table typing this paper, I realized that there really isn’t anything better than living in the moment, enjoying each second of life at time ticks by.
The table on which I am typing is dressed in a seasonal cloth with red and green wreaths across it. Down the middle of the table are three glass Christmas trees, simple yet elegant in their display as they reflect the light off of their branches creating an array of color.
As I continue to type this paper, the warm is getting warmer as my brother just finished lighting a fire to fight off the cold. My end of the table is likewise

Recognizing now, as I describe this moment, how close our vulnerable tree is to the mighty fireplace, I realize that their proximity could potentially be a fire hazard but the image of the two create such a nice feeling that gets me in the Christmas spirit that I will leave the set up as is and hope for the best.
My mom is enjoying the view of the room as she admires it through her eyelids. Huddled under her fur blanket lying in front of the fire, her spoiled Californian skin hides from the cold and rushes towards a source of warmth for protection.
In the background I can hear the TV playing an educational documentary that my dad has carefully selected on Netflix after browsing through the documentary category looking at all of his options. Despite the fact that that category is familiar grounds for my dad as he performs the same search nearly every night, he loyally looks through the 75 titles again so as not to exclude any newcomers. He’s in the middle of eating dinner as he just returned from a busy day at work, and has likewise equipped himself for the
Individuals assume it is worse to die than to survive a drunk driving accident, dismissing the complications that survivors must face. Society labels survivors as the culprits of these incidents. Likewise, close relationships with others are broken to create loneliness for the survivor. Accordingly, the experience of a drunk driving accident forces one to reckon with mental stability. In Jenny Hollander’s short story “Time Transfixed”, the protagonist, Elle White classifies to be unlucky regardless of surviving a drunk driving accident as she faces negative consequences subsequently.
This one minute film is a motivating, lifesaver once you watch it. It can help motivate you to seek something in your life you always wanted. Director John X. Carey used different types of reasoning to help his point be made throughout the video. He emphasizes how important time is in this world. We cannot afford to take life for granted, because there’s not that much time we can afford to lose.
For the chandelier and candle sticks I chose stand-out items that are still interesting lit or unlit, based on Elsie’s statement of, “A lamp, or a wall fixture, or a chandelier, or a candlestick, must be beautiful in itself—beautiful by sunlight,—if it is really
Right now, she is trying to soothe the kids. She does this every night, and every night, the children go to bed with the promise that tomorrow would be a better day. I can hear her walk back into the room, but my eyes remain fixated on the fire, hypnotized by their dance; a fiery consumption that sends up sparks and ash. She silently begins to clean up the shattered mess, sweeping up the shards of glass, and soaking up the whiskey and gin. Her face is a ghostly white, completely devoid of emotion. The soft tinkling of the glass is? accompanied by the low crackling coming from the hungry flames.

In The Last Lecture, Pausch shares how he was able to make

Michael Brown, in his novel “Finding the Field: an adventure of body, mind and spirit” claims (in his fourth universal truth) that now is the moment that matters that. He supports his claim by first arguing the counterclaim, he states that “most of us, most of the time, are not where our bodies are. Our minds are away in the future or the past.” and “The prospect of instant heaven produces a condition-red, ego security alert. Your ego will push every alarm button it can reach.” Brown then supports his claim by stating what it mean to live in the moment. Browns purpose is to explain what his audience has to do in order to live in the moment. He establishes an analytical tone for people that are living in the past.
I leaned my head against the car window watching the leaves blowing around, just trying to distract myself from a slight feeling of emptiness inside of me. This feeling seemed all too familiar to me. My family and I had all of our possessions packed into boxes yet again. We were moving to a new state. At this point, up rooting our lives and starting over almost seemed more like a hobby than anything more significant. However, I have just now come to realize that what seemed like constant inconveniences in the past, have actually taught me how to be the best me with influences all around the country. Living in three different states and five homes may have been a challenge, but it provided me with memories that I wouldn’t trade for anything because those moments created the person I am today.

Powerful and well-crafted novels spin from archaic yet timeless tales. Thus leaving readers to find their solace between the conflicts and turmoil within the plot. A vast majority of stories contain paradoxical themes and morals that consequently, temporarily confuse the reader, and creating their interpretation of the novel. The Time Traveler’s Wife contains themes of love, fate against free will, time, and more messages written between the lines. Henry DeTamble has a genetic disorder called Chrono-Displacement, which causes him to become temporarily displaced in time against his will. Therefore, it is possible to meet his determined soulmate, Clare Abshire when she is six, and he is thirty-eight- also when she is twenty, and he is twenty-eight. Alternating between childhood and adulthood perspectives, Niffenegger’s The Time Traveler’s Wife contains a problematic love story that portrays the consequences of isolation due to a predetermined belief in love, evident in Clare’s monotonous life. Moreover, the novel illustrates that living according to destiny oppresses a fulfilling lifetime. Many instances throughout the book that demonstrate this are The List, Alba’s conception, and Henry’s final letter.

Many humans get deep into a big dark hole and this hole is the busy life that humans live. This hole catches people who don’t enjoy life to its fullest and just do the same old boring thing each day. Many humans get focused on their individual goals like, moving higher up in their company and satisfying others with their life style. In the story Wit by Margaret Edson the author is trying to tell the people through the main character, Vivian Bearing, that life is too short so make the best of your life, enjoy it, make everyday like your last because there is no guarantee that one will wake up tomorrow.
The center of the room is what draws your attention. It leaves your mouth open in amazement. The long rectangle table is made of strong mahogany solid wood, trimmed in a thin layer of gold. The top of the table is filled with brownish marble. The long back and tall legged chairs are also made of mahogany wood. The cushion on the chairs are soft like down alternative pillows. The square crystal clear dinner plate, trimmed in platinum, sit in front of the 30 chairs that surround the table. A fresh mixed green centerpiece is in the center of the
