Mars is a very interesting planet it has many mysteries that we humans are trying to figure out. Mars is the 4th planet from the sun. Mars Exploration As of right now man cannot physically get to Mars so scientists and engineers have created a solution. This solution is rovers. We have had many rovers sent up to Mars many worked and many didn’t we have one active as of right now. This rover is named Curiosity it was launched on August 6th, 2012 and is still the rover we use. These rovers have a lot that goes into them because they are not used for small tasks. Many tools are needed to be able to find out what scientists want to know. So, Curiosity is equipped with these tools. The rover weighs about 900 kilograms or 1984 pounds. Some of tools on board of Curiosity include 17 cameras, a mobile chemistry lab and a laser that is able to vaporize rocks plus 10 more tools. They have found that there might have been life on Mars at one point and there might still be little bits of life. All they have found so far is evidence of little tiny organisms and bacteria that were once on the surface.
