Today is the day where the 8th grade class of 2015-2016 graduate from James Irvine Intermediate. Despite all the hard work and efforts that we’ve all given during our stay in this school, this is the time where we should be proud of ourselves. For now, let’s close these few chapters in our life and start on a brand new page. It is the time for eighth graders to move on and continue with our lives by going to high school then, hopefully getting into a college.
Middle school is a time when kids turn into young adults, and I’m glad I was able to spend them here with the guidance of the wonderful people at this school. Throughout my two years at this school, the staffs and the students have taught me many things. The students have shown me the method of perseverance while the teachers helped me improve my social skills. At first, I didn’t know what to expect nor know what to do when I came to Irvine on the first day of seventh grade, but since the previous eighth graders and teachers were kind enough to help me and many others around. The school became a very well

I would also like to give thanks to the parents to stayed with their child and helped as much as they can for their kids. Without their help, I never would have tried as much as I did in school. I know it’s not easy for both teachers and parents to deal the attitude of teenagers, so thank you for bearing with us during those times; moreover, thank you for trying your best to understand and comfort us. Lastly, thank you to all of the staffs here in James Irvine Intermediate who had made the eighth-grade experience become a wonderful piece of memory to live with. The years I have spent at James Irvine Intermediate will be cherished and memories will never be forgotten. Thank
Good morning to all the students, parents, and teachers that have joined us for today’s event. My name is Clark Dao and as you know, today is an unforgettable day for all of us because the 6th grade students here at Eastvale Elementary are now promoting to middle school. Our time here at Eastvale Elementary has been a long, memorable journey that has shaped us for the future, for whatever it may hold. These past years have given us many special and influential moments of our lives. We’ve all learned new things, made new friends, and had good times here. There may have been some rough times, but you were still able to get past them. Also, you should know that right now, your parents and teachers are very proud of you. They have high hopes for
I have been a part of JROTC for the past four years of my high school career. During my time in the program, I gained more self-confidence and was able to venture out of my comfort zone, which allowed me to join numerous clubs and organizations throughout my high school career. The clubs include the Chess Club for one year, the Environmental Club and AFJROTC Honor Guard team for two years, and Science Olympiad all my four years of high school. The organizations include the National Technical Honor Society for two years and National Honor Society for two years as well and voted Vice President.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my peers once again. Those of you who know me know I’m an entertainer. Well, you have all served as my audience throughout these four years, and you have motivated me in doing so. Your reactions to my personality and my creativity have been indicative and invaluable. I’ve learned more from all of you than from any teacher I’ve ever had. You taught me how to socialize. You’ve enlightened me on the facets of the human condition, the roots of happiness, and the dynamics of friendship. You have given me the life, the strength to keep me moving higher,
My father is going to retire in some years and my mother is a house wife. They both have invested in their house heavily therefore these reasons might affect my family’s ability to fund my college tuition.
In my spring 2017 semester Kean awarded me the Freshman Trustee Scholarship for exceptional high school scholastic achievements, such as acquiring a 3.71 unweighted GPA and scoring 27 on the ACT. Whilst having such strong potential for collegiate success, there is a significant demonstrated financial gap in my parents' savings, where I must allocate my job earnings, and the cost for me to independently pursue a college education. Although my brother is diagnosed with severe autism and ADHD, and will remain almost absolutely financially dependent on my parents for his entire life, my source of financial need stems from being the eldest of five. In two years 3/4 of my younger quadruplet siblings, who are juniors in high school, and I will all
Dear administrators, teachers, parents, beloved friends, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 8th grade graduation. It’s a pleasure to be standing in front of you today on this beautiful day to express the happiness we all feel.
I intend to use this scholarship to help pay for my tuition and books at the Southern Arizona University of Phoenix- Online. I would like to be considered for this scholarship because I have no financial help from my family. This means that I have to be able to pay for college on my own because of the fact that my father is no longer in my life, and my mom has my other siblings to take care of. My father is no longer in my life because he now lives in Mexico with his other family. I don’t have financial help from him because he has a wife and six other children. My mother would like to be able to help me, but she has two other children she’s taking care of by herself, and she has to prepare for my sister's graduation next year as well as mine this year. I plan to get a job after I graduate to help pay for the expenses of college, but since I am going online the expenses of college are going to be a lot less than if I were to go on campus, this is the main reason I am planning to go online, and to take a lot of the stress of being totally alone off myself because I will only be twenty minutes away from my family instead of an hour or two.
Farewell eighth graders. Thank you for setting such a great example not only for the whole school, but for us. You have truly showed how to be great eighth graders. It will be very hard to live up to the name class of 2016 eighth graders. We have had some very great memories with you guys. We will never forget you. Good luck on your high school journey and onward. We all know that you will make a very important impact on the world. Continue to follow God’s plan for you as a
I am writing to thank you for your generous $1000 Osher Initiative California Community College Scholarship. I feel very honor and appreciative to be the recipient of this awards.
In college, I plan on taking the courses needed to qualify for admission into medical school. My number one goal is to continue making all As in my college courses. I also plan on being an active member in many clubs and taking advantage of community service opportunities. After finishing my bachelor degree, I plan on attending medical school, and from there I hope to become a psychiatrist. Hopefully, I will be able to obtain a job working for the VA where I can help provide care for veterans. My main goal from then on out would be to provide the best care possible for my patients.
I grew up in a world of little things. I appreciated the details in my daily life - the way my mothers voice changed as she read to me, the innumerable times my father checked his pockets before leaving for work. I liked the comfort of cramped library corners and well explored territory and small state schools. Growing up in Asheville, I considered myself wordly enough- I couldn’t imagine anything bigger than the mountains and stories ever-present around town.
Middle school is a big turning point in most students’ maturity, I believe. Especially 8th Grade, as you are finally leaving the Middle School building, and going on to High School with the mindset that you are almost an adult. Along the way, you learn to cope with many things, whether they be accomplishments or losses. In this entry, I am going to discuss what I did, as well as some thoughts on leaving 8th Grade.
Ever since I was a young kid I have always been interested in movies. My grandma, who was full of the wise the life experience left, always knew about my interest in movies. She feed my vain for the art. Even though her religion, she professed Adventist of seven-day religion, didn't let her go to the cinema, she always found the way to took me to the cinema. She and I enjoyed watch movies. We used to sit in the darkness room, with our faces illuminated from the reflection of the light which rebooted from the screen, both absorbs in the plot of the movie which made us laughed or cried. After the movie, while we went back to her home, she started to talk about the movie. She had a particular point of view where the main story
My high school years, unlike the past years of steady achievements, felt much more like a sine graph with ups and downs. To begin with, I conquered my freshman year in a breeze. My easily achievable classes not only earned myself confidence, but also admiration and respect from my classmates and teachers. As a result, I comfortably acclimated myself to the status of a star student.
When I graduated from high school in 1987 I never intended on acquiring a college degree. Now many years later I am accomplishing something I thought I never would. In 2012 I made some serious changes in my life. I had worked as a United States Postal Service mail carrier for 10 years. However, It was such a physical and stressful job that it started to take its toll on me.
