When Jordan didn't make his high school team as a sophomore, he got up at 6:00 am everyday to improve his basketball skills. "Michael's athletic skills awed everyone, but even more impressive was his commitment to improve" (Minsky 108). He was finally recognized at a basketball camp by Roy Williams, who was the coach of the Kansas basketball team. Roy Williams invited him to the Five Star Camp, which is the top camp in the country.
