In 1728 September 28th Mercy Warren was born and living in a Barnstable. Mercy was a young child living with four siblings and one brother owned a library. Mrs.Warren's parents were poor people and she could not attend school. So in her older brother library her brother her with all the books that were in the library.In Mercy’s life no school at all including collage but she grew up to be an amazing woman.

By writing the first history on the revolutionary war lots of people today would not know today what happened and how it happened. Although she may seem one of the most perfect people in the world but she did have some struggles like with liberty. And I am pretty confident that she had some struggles with writing all of her quotes and stories to make them all really well and nearly perfect. Mary Ludwig was a great heroine in the American Revolution, although you probably have never heard of her. You most likely know her by the name, Molly Pitcher. She was an inspiring woman who brought water to the soldiers, and also helped with cannon duty during the Battle of Monmouth. She had the courage to stand up and leave her slave owner. She stood up for herself and her son in court when he was sold illegally to a slave owner in a different state. She had the moxy to become a public figure and talk about injustice against women and African-American slaves. In the late 1700’s and early 1800’s, no one had ever heard of a woman slave taking a stand to control her and her family’s life. Sojourner Truth was before her time.

She later got caught and was later put into prison in 1864 by confederate troops and taken into prison. Along with Mary Edward walker, Clara Barton, was an Army nurse. Clara was to serve help in curing injured men. She had a bad experience when she went to go cure a man, a bullet that killed the man she was helping was peireced threw her sleeve. She had been assisting him and tried to save him, but it was too late and he had died. Also these women made a legacy in life, Underground Railroad, being the first US army women surgeon, and the foundation of the American Red Cross. Mary Todd Lincoln, who was married to Abraham Lincoln. Although she was a lot different then the other important women in the civil war, she was just as important.
