Melika has been working full time since she was a teenager and feels resentful that she is the only adult with a full-time job although Ricardo is a stay-at-home parent with Bentley, their son. Melika also feels that Ricardo can be too laid back which causes her grave concern because Bentley requires extra and special attention because of his developmental delays due to being born prematurely.
