It is worth it to dream considering all the good things that happen as a result of it. Martin Luther King’s “I have a Dream” Speech, the Revolutionary War, and Martin Luther’s “95 thesis” all changed the world. Martin Luther King’s dream was that everyone should be treated the same way and his dream happened. Another dream was from the colonies in America who wanted freedom. They had a war with British which was called The Revolutionary War. This dreamed changed the world too. Martin Luther’s “95 thesis” also changed the world. It changed people’s view on god and their church. People might say, “Those are just a few famous dreams that changed the world. There are many other dreams that didn’t change the world.” Many dreams change the world
After Being Dragged out of their homeland, brought to an unknown country, and forced to be slaves, African-Americans saw a road trip to equality through the eyes of Martin Luther King, Jr. Even after being emancipated from slaves to citizens, African-Americans were not ready to wage the battle against segregation alone. The weight which African Americans carried on their back, was lightened when they began to see what Martin Luther King, Jr. brought to the table against segregation. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the single most important African-American leader of the Civil Rights Movement and was responsible for dramatically improving the chance of equality for African-Americans. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the key individual, which helped

From the Apostle Paul to Martin Buber: Martin Luther King's use of Historical and Religious Figures in his Letter From Birmingham Jail
My target audience for this particular essay includes 2 of my peers, Brian and Jessica, as well as my teacher, Mr. Romine. Brian and Jessica are both 16-year-old Caucasians, with Mr. Romine who is being 46 and Caucasian. Brian and Jessica are juniors in high school, and Romine has a Master’s degree in English. Brian and Jessica share the same knowledge of the subject as I do, all of us basically only knowing what we’ve been taught about the Civil Rights movement, and this having been our first reading of King’s letter. Romine, however, has excellent knowledge of both the movement as well as King’s letter.
You see things; and you say, "Why?" But I dream things that never were; and I say, "Why not?" I believe it is worth it to dream for multiple reasons. A few reasons include they make people work harder, they keep people out of trouble, and they set lifelong goals.
Not all children are born into the perfect situation, some children are born into a drug oriented and gang related family. “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.” This a powerful quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. how we can benefit a student’s life. The Giving Children a Mulligan in Life interest group would be a locally funded group in Atlanta which would teach life lessons through the game of golf in a fun and interactive way. “Giving Children a Mulligan in Life” would help with the record high levels of dropouts in this city. Certainly with Atlanta having one of the highest dropout rates in not just Georgia, but in United States at 59.1% with an 8% rise in the last two years reported by the Georgia’s Department of Education (2014) is more than enough of a reason for this group to exist.
People do not acknowledge the struggles that African Americans had to endure for them to be treated equally, the way a true American is supposed to be treated. One of the ways they were not treated equally was by not being able to participate in sports with whites. From the beginning of our nation, colored people were highly disrespected and treated as if they were some type of animals, which have no say in what happens to them. They were not given any opportunities and were treated harshly because their skin color was different. Whites were able to practically do anything they wanted, unlike blacks, who were racially discriminated or beaten for no apparent reason. African Americans were among the worst treated races in the US; however,
Nearly three centuries ago, black men and women from Africa were brought to America and put into slavery. They were treated more cruelly in the United States than in any other country that had practiced slavery. African Americans didn’t gain their freedom until after the Civil War, nearly one-hundred years later. Even though African Americans were freed and the constitution was amended to guarantee racial equality, they were still not treated the same as whites and were thought of as second class citizens. One man had the right idea on how to change America, Martin Luther King Jr. had the best philosophy for advancing civil rights, he preached nonviolence to express the need for change in America and he united both African Americans
A Biography of Martin Luther King Jr. "I have a dream…" are the famous words stated by Martin Luther King
Look at people who died following their dreams, Martin Luther King j.r, president JFK, Michael Jackson. All those people died doing what they dreamed of doing. Was it worth it? Is a silly dream worth a person's own LIFE? In my opinion it is not worth it to dream if dreams are dangerous. Look at college sports for an example, some players are good enough to make it to the pros, but boom then they get a career ending injury and are left in the dust. So in conclusion it is not worth it to dream because it leads to false hopes, it is a waste precious time and some dreams can be
Martin Luther's contribution to the Church could easily be dismissed because he is well known as anti-Semitic. In truth, he was, as most people are, more complicated than this. Luther is a wonderful example of the Grace of God using imperfect people. Luther is history's best proponent of justification by grace, yet some of his views did not always reflect God's love. God has not changed, He still chooses the average person to advance His kingdom. And why shouldn't He, we are all He's got!
The development of human being during the entire course of life, focus on biological and psychological growth (Berk, 2010). Human development hold several outcomes that are altered by both positive and negative influences. Genetic (nature) and environmental (nurture) influences place significant impact on human development. In fact, Pinker (2004) submits that behavior is the result of a complex collaboration among inheritance and environmental factors in human development, ultimately supporting that nature-nurture work collectively (Pinker, 2004).
Martin Luther King Jr dedicated his life fighting to end discrimination against African-American men, women, and children. Martin did not believe in violence at all and would use kindness and love as opposed to violence and hate, this would help set the tone of his iconic movement to end racism. Martin was able to prove that a world without violence can be successful. He would be able to establish equal voting rights between the black and white people, and establish that all nations must treat all people equal no matter their skin color.
I believe it is worth it to dream because it gives a person something to work for. Some people believe that if somebody just sits around and dreams, then it will come true. Some people now how dreams work, they have to work for a dream rather than just sitting and waiting their whole life. We can also see evidence of this in the book The Pearl By John Steinbeck where Kino’s dream was to provide a healthy living for his family and he never gave up trying to find a pearl and sell it.
