A marketing strategy is a description of goals that need to be achieved with marketing efforts. A marketing strategy is normally formed by an organizations business goals. Business goals and a marketing strategy should go hand-in-hand. A marketing strategy should consist of a clear goal of what has to be done, informing consumers about the product or services being offered, and also informing consumer of differentiation factors.
The 4 P’s of marketing
Marketing is a business function which helps an organization to identify consumer needs, determine target markets and applies products and services to serve these markets. It also involves promoting the products and services within the marketplace. If there is one thing everyone should know about marketing, it would be the 4P’s of marketing, often referred to as the marketing mix, and it consist of four variables, product, price, place, and promotion. The marketing mix blends these variables together in order to produce desired results. The following describes the four P’s of marketing: Products can be either goods or service that a business provides for sale to their target market in order to meet their needs or demands. When the product is developed it is important to consider quality, design, features, packaging, customer service, and any subsequent after-sale service. (NSW, n.d.)
