In the article, “Zoning Won’t Save Houston, But Greener Rules Might” by Carson C. Lucarelli effectively explains how to make a better Houston. He uses rhetorical appeals in the tone of being informative and hopefulness to persuade the government and Houstonians of how to make a better Houston and to go green because there are many benefits and it will make Houston a better and safer city.

William Higginbotham had a wonderful life and a wonderful family. He was born on October 25, 1910 in Bridgeport, Connecticut and he grew up in Caledonia, New York. He was married three times. His three wives were Julie Ann (died when they were still married), Margret (died when they were still married), and Edna (was still alive when he died). He has two daughters and one son. Their names are Julie Schletter, Robin Clark, and the one son William, of Bellport. He has one brother and on sister. The brother’s name is John and the sister is Dorothy Osgood. He also has two grandchildren.

Texas House Representative Dwayne Bohac represents the Houston district of 138 which I currently have the pleasure of living in. Bohac was born on September 04, 1966 in the Northwest area of Houston, Texas. He has been a resident of the district he has been elected to represent for most of his life and is also member of the Republican Party. He attended Scarborough High School and later furthered his education at Texas A&M University. Bohac decided to pursue two majors earning bachelor degrees in Political Science and Marketing. There has been big changes in the U.S. Since the turn of the century. I moved to Houston 4 years ago from Dallas and since then where I live in Houston has been changing every day. Its so remarkable within 5 years time a new community has been formed and its getting too crowed every where. New schools, hospitals, stores and roads are coming up every corner, when we think its crazy but actually the demand is getting higher. There is everything near you to meet our needs. But the traffic is getting too much in Houston, I think government can do better in that area and make less crowed.

Hokule’a began in 1973 with Ben Finney, and many other canoe enthusiasts, who created the Polynesian Voyaging Society with the intention to sail from Hawaii to Tahiti and back. The design for the Hokule’a was made by Herb Kawainui Kane and Kenneth Emory. In 1975, construction of the Hokule’a was finished and by 1976, the roundtrip from Hawaii to Tahiti began. The whole purpose of the Hokule’a, meaning Star of Gladness, was to bring back the skill, navigation, and bravery that the Polynesians had as they sailed to their new home, Hawaii. More importantly, to prove that the voyage of the Polynesians to the islands was not a work of fiction, but a completely possible thing to accomplish.

Growing up in East Austin, one would be accustomed to seeing rundown neighborhoods inhabited mostly by African American and Hispanic working-class families. In the past few years though, the view has drastically changed. Now brightly colored two-story homes housing affluent Caucasian families occupy the once dilapidated areas. Born and raised in Plantation, Florida, Carl Hiaasen grew a passion for literature, specifically journalism, at a very young age. As a result, his father willingly gave him a typewriter. He spent most of his time either writing sports stories on his new machine or frolicking in the boggy wetlands of the Everglades.
