Marco Rubio is the Republican counterpart to 2008 Barack Obama, just without the elegance or needed ideology. He is a handsome minority, who is well spoken, and has a beautiful, young family. He appears to be an adequate choice for the nomination, as he has centrist enough views to interest some independents, while also having some of the requisite crazy to entice the party’s base. Rubio is also from Florida, which could help in turning an essential swing state red. A shortcoming for Marco Rubio is that he has recently decided that he is a Senator in name only, forgoing actually attending Senate votes and hearings, except on payday. Rubio, needing plenty of oil to style his hair, has one of the worst environmental records in the Senate, which …show more content…
The Adams’, Roosevelt’s, Kennedy’s, and even Clinton’s earned the ability to have their name represent power and respect. The Bush’s have not earned that ability, but they will continue to try. One Bush was enough, but we had to endure a 2nd, and entertain the possibility of a 3rd. Jeb Bush just plainly does not have “it”, but that did not stop his establishment fueled Super PAC from raising him millions of dollars. The populace has shown that they are looking for an outsider, and Jeb Bush is the furthest thing from it. He may have been more successful if ran in 2012, when he would have been a Bushier version of Mitt Romney, but in 2016 his campaign has faltered heavily. We are seeing that the “Smart” Bush is not all that smart. He is not charismatic or quick on his feet (saying Margaret Thatcher should be on the $10 bill was ill-advised), so he just has his record and name to run on. His reputation as Governor is marred by the Terry Schiavo case, but he did bring in job growth and balanced budgets. Running on his family name might not yield the best of returns, as the taste of his brother has not yet left the national pallet. Jeb!, despite all his faults, is one of the most practical people running. He is statesmanlike, has knowledge on the issues, and seems to have a genuine desire to help the American people. Jeb likely won’t win the nomination, but the GOP could do a lot
On June 22, Marco Rubio announced that he would indeed run for re-election. Republicans were enthused by this news because he is universally known across the state and an immaculate fundraiser. The race was immediately polled, and Sen. Rubio was winning by 8%.
Perry is a conservative and has many conservative views. I believe in the same things that he does. I think that Rick Perry would make a good president. He has worked hard to get where he is today and that is good to have in a leader. While serving in Texas, Perry was a good leader and I believe he would be a good leader of this country. We need a president that is hard working. This country needs a president that has a good political background, and very intelligent. Rick Perry is a prime example of a good politician. I think that Rick Perry would be a good candidate for president in 2016. I would definitely vote for Perry. He has made many jobs, cut taxes, and helped with immigration. He has made a huge difference while being governor of Texas, and he could make a huge difference as president of the United
The 2016 Presidential election has got to be the most aggressive yet entertaining election of all time. Who would have ever thought that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton would be the two candidates running for President? This election has got everyone, everywhere riled up over who will win the campaign. Citizens of the United States could argue that neither one of the candidates running, is fit to be Commander and Chief. It has come to the point in this election where citizens are not engaging in voting for President, because of the candidates running. Due to the lack of participates voting, I believe that Senator John McCain would better qualify as President because he is a diplomat, he has a strong military background, he’s had years of experience and is a
Marco Rubio believes that the protection of life is an important value for this society. He believes the Roe v. Wade was morally wrong and should be overturned. Rubio is pro-life and supports many pro-life policies. The Republican Party platform strongly opposes abortion, and fights to defund abortion at the federal level. They support a constitutional amendment which will end abortion entirely. Rubio’s stance on abortion is similar to the Republican Party platform. Both Rubio and the platform are pro-life and both want to stop abortion as they feel it is morally unacceptable. Thus, Rubio’s stance on abortion is basically the same as the GOP platform.
Ted is currently a republican running as a candidate for president for the Republican Party. In order for him to run for president he has to be born in the united states, needs to have at least 35 or more of age, be a resident of the united states for 14 years, he needs to have world experience and control problems that middle class can relate to. Thats
Many candidates could be elected to senate, but Marco Rubio would be the best. Marco Rubio should be elected to senate because he will lower healthcare cost for seniors, repeal Obamacare, and allow people to control their own healthcare choices.
The United States is not what it used to be. The United States was the moderator of the world. Every other country feared the U.S., but now it seems to be lacking the luster it once had. The United States of America’s success starts at one place. That is the president of the United States. The president controls and oversees all actions taken by the government. The United States needs a leader that can return this country to its former glory. Marco Rubio is that leader. What Rubio lacks in age and experience he makes up for with hard work and determination to win. Marco Rubio 's plans to return this country to glory are rooted with conservative belief and backed by the republican party. There are many other candidates fighting to be the next person to turn this country around. Marco Rubio will put his plans into action and make The United States better for all. Marco Rubio is a great candidate for president.
Rafael Edward Cruz was born December 22, 1970. Cruz was elected to the U.S senate in 2012 and was the first Hispanic American to serve as a U.S senator representing Texas. Ted Cruz is a republican candidate who strongly supports keeping god in public schools, stricter punishment that reduces crime, expanding the military, stricter limits on political campaign funds, and never legalizing marijuana. As well Cruz opposes abortion being a woman s right, same sex marriage and LGBT rights, pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens, and stay out of Iran.
Do not be afraid to offer ideas that draw opposition. Remember, if no one is against your idea, then your idea probably doesn't do anything. –Marco Rubio Being one of Florida’s state senators and current 2016 presidential candidate I thought he would be a great senator to start talking about. Marco Antonio Rubio was born to immigrant parents in Miami Florida in 1971. Rubio attended college at the University of Florida, and university of Miami to study Law. In the 1990s, he served as a City Commissioner for West Miami and was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2000. He was elected Speaker of the Florida House in September 2005,and continued at that position for 3 more years. Rubio was elected to the United States Senate in 2010.
In March of 2015 Ted Cruz announced his candidacy. Since then, his names has graced numerous news organizations. Cruz speaks on behalf of passionate Republicans desperate for change. Currently, he holds the fourth highest polling percentage amongst the Republican candidates. Cruz can win because of his high voter demographic in large groups, campaign strategies, and his views on issues. Although, his campaign needs to improve in order to beat Trump, Carson, Rubio, and eventually the Democratic candidate.
The presidency is Trump’s ultimate deal. Politics has run in the Trump family for a century. Spreading the cash around to acquire political favors is a Trump mainstay–it was for dad Fred and it is for Donald. The apple has not fallen far from the
They were not all named George or Jeb Bush for no reason, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
Who that gentleman is will in all likelihood be determined by the Supreme Court. Which is probably not what our nation’s Founding Fathers had in mind when they designed the Presidential election process.
Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about the Senator of the State of Florida Marco Rubio, his family, his education, his career, and how do people perceived him.
Recently I had the opportunity to go to the National Student Leadership Congress (NSLC) in Washington D.C. to represent my Upward Bound program at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. While at the NSLC they split us up into groups of roughly eleven students from across the country. These groups are to work together and create a mock bill based on topic provided to them and present it in front of a mock congress. When they split us up and I got to meet the people in my group I just thought right away that this situation was not going to work. We all come from different parts of the country, our ideas are different, our political parties are conflicting, and our personalities are very dissimilar in several aspects. It would take a miracle
