They resorted to teaching their kids inside the home. The Garcia kids were pushed by their parents to become doctors, so they could have a better future. Hector Garcia graduated from the University of Texas and did his residency in Omaha, Nebraska. Garcia volunteered as a infantry officer during world war two, but was denied to practice medicine while in the army. Jimmy Del Tondo passed away peacefully in his sleep, at the age of 87, on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016. Jimmy was born August 10th, 1928 in Montrose, Colorado. He came from a large Italian family which included his father, Pete, Mother, Susie, four brothers, and eight sisters. Much of his young life and into adulthood was spent in Montrose, where he worked for Montrose County School District for 20 years. Montrose, Colorado is also where he met his first wife Earlene, and had two daughters; Rhonda and Tammy. After the passing of Jimmy's first wife, he married Virginia and had another daughter, Patricia, and a son, Andrew. He spent the last 38 years of his life in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Ruben Salazar was born on March 3, 1928, in Ciudad Juarez, and moved to El Paso, Texas where he grew up. Ruben Salazar was a well-known journalist and activist who brought together Chicanos and Americans. He was one of the first non-white journalists in an all-white male profession and proved that he was just as capable of journalism as all of them. Salazar brought together Americans and Chicanos in many ways, he reported on Chicano events and put himself in between a very tense boundary. Salazar began as a journalist for The Los Angeles Times and became a foreign correspondent until a new more powerful Chicano movement brought him back. In 1891 a boy named Rafael Trujillo was born by a middle aged family in San Cristobal on October 24, 1891. Another thing was that he was one of 11 children and was the third of them all. When he started growing up Trujillo wanted a job so what he decided to do was go and take a job as a Telephone Operator at the age of 16 years after attending a formal elementary school and a private middle school. So after he had his job for a little while Trujillo decided to forge a check from his family bank and because of that he lost his job and also was served time in jail. Also in 1916 Trujillo was known to be in a gang that had also supported him to his criminal ways and was part of the reason that he had forged the check in the first place. After
When Vargas died in 1705 after repossessing the governorship in 1703, he was succeeded by Governor Francisco Cuervo y Valdes. Governor Cuervo y Valdes campaigned for a more militant approach against the indigenous tribes, predominantly the Navajos, whose troublesome acts were thought to be influencing the Pueblos to resist the Spanish’s reoccupation. Cuervo in June 1705 launched successive offensive attacks against the Gila Apaches, coming back to the Navajos, who were stealing cattle from settlers and missionaries. Diego Rivera was born in December of 1886 and first began creating art and murals at the age of three after the death of his twin brother. Young Diego's parents caught him drawing on the walls of their home but rather than punish him for it they instead nurtured his growing creativity. They installed canvas and chalkboard on the walls and let Rivera create as he saw fit. Even in his early years Diego knew what he wanted to be.
