This is the first time in the book that Malala suggests she was somewhat oblivious to her attack. Although she, later on, mentions how she was somewhat afraid of the Taliban attacking her, she mostly thought that if there was an attack that it would be to her father.

I chose this quote because it empowers women. Where Malala comes from women aren't really given the respect and empowerment that they deserve and hopefully, she inspires them to do whatever their heart desires and not care about what society thinks.

To Malala education is everything and she just wants to spread her happiness with others so they can share that happiness with her. Malala’s whole life revolves around equal rights to education and to make that happen would mean everything to her.
